狗的食量并不大，但十分挑剔。狗一天的食量大约的人类一天食量的三分之一左右。狗主要吃骨头、肉、鱼等，多数都不喜欢吃蔬菜和水果。人们把吃剩的骨头扔给他，它便会蹦蹦跳跳得跑过来，叼起来啃啊啃。但是如果你把吃剩的青菜、萝卜或其他蔬菜、水果扔给它的话，它却置之不理。
