首先，我先给大家讲一个真实的事件。那是我随我的外公从宜昌坐船前往三峡时发生的一件事。

那天早晨，船上的人都起来了，正准备打水洗淑。可是船上的水龙头半天也只下来几滴水，一询问，原来是船上的水用完了!所以，大家只有排着长长的队伍，慢慢的等。我望着船下，船下虽然有着流不尽的江水，但却没有一个人愿意来使用它。因为江水太脏了，是那么的浑黄，又有谁敢去使用呢?只有慢慢的排队，慢慢的等!

如今科技虽然在高速发展，但这影响到了我们的环境。河流污染，大气污染，树木的减少，沙漠的增多……这一切的一切都是拜人类所赐!国家虽然在重视，世界虽然在重视，什么环境保护日，这些事又有多少人影起了注意呢?在我看来，是极少的。国家虽然在这么说，可是光说不做又有什么用呢?做了也只是少数罢了!根本没有从主要原因抓起!你看，黄河的水不是还在被污染吗?工厂不照样还在污染大气吗?抓，就应该从小抓起，从人们的素质，品质抓起，可是国家乃至世界这么做了吗?没有!即使做了也只是做样子罢了。环境不是照样还在被污染吗?

动物还在灭绝，山洪还在爆发，沙尘暴照样存在……这都充分说明了环境还在污染!国家只会去赈灾，而不去根本抓起，只会去赈灾，这又有什么用呢?各种灾难不还是照样在发生吗?我们应该像鲁迅一样。他当初从医是为了拯救中国人，而他发现，这解决不了根本，所以，他当了作家，去拯救人们的精神。因为这就是根本!所以，我们作为21世纪的小主人，就应该明白，什么是破坏环境的根本，从要点去解决它。努力吧――21世纪的我们!

I believe the school environment protection are important because students need a quiet and pollution-free environment to study. What we need to do in order to maintain our clean and neat environment to our students? First, we will need to have giant garbage can around each corner. Second, we will need to have school policies regarding littering and spits on the ground, where students and teachers would be fine if they violated the school policies. Third, we also will need to have garbage cans in classrooms, school main entrance, back door, parking lots, basketball court, ect. Last, we will need to announce the school policies, so the students and teachers will need to follow. By doing all this, we can promise the clean and neat environment for our current and future students.

Nowadays, peoples life has changed a lot with the development of modern technology and economy, which has put lots of negative effects on the environment.

Why this? Because, firstly, some factories are pouring wastes into rivers, lakes, seas and so forth; secondly, because of human activities, a great number of plants and animals are losing their lives; thirdly, using modern machines and chemicals is bad for the environment. Besides these, there are a lot of human activities which have done or are doing harm to our surroundings.

For this, I think, first, our government should make drastic measures to regulate human activities; second, we human beings should take pains-taking work to stop ourselves destroying the environment and try our best to protect our living space more.

1. Human beings are dependent on the Earth’s diversity of species. Wild species play a vital role in the maintenance of the planet’s ecological functions, yet every day on the planet 40-100 species become extinct.

2. Human life cannot exist in the absence of complicated interactions of millions of species in biological systems.

3. 50,000 plant an animal species disappear each year due to tropical deforestation, expanding agriculture and human settlement.

4. Human activities impact the environment, including clearing agriculture land; air, land and water pollution; urban and suburban development; and the introduction of invasion or non-native wildlife species. If land and wildlife are poorly managed, human being will risk fragmenting habitat.

5. We are living in the midst of a great chemical experiment, and some serious consequences are becoming apparent to scientist. More than two billion pounds of chemicals are spewed into the air each year. These chemicals are brewing a disastrous stew, resulting in an atmosphere crisis. The greatest consequences of the atmosphere crisis may be global warming and the ozone depletion. If human kind wants to survive well into the next millennium, we must stop this horrible destruction of our own environment.

6. The earth appears to be warming due to the greenhouse effect. Scientists estimate that the average temperature could climb about 2 degrees Celsius in 20 years. This change in the global climate would have disastrous results, including drought, coastal flooding and increased species extinction. And, scientists have discovered a hole in the ozone layer. The ozone layer is the only protection for life on Earth against deadly ultraviolet radiation from the Sun. Once the ozone layer is completely destroyed, all life on Earth will cease to exist, killed by the deadly radiation. The planet will become a barren rock devoid of all life.

7. It allows for an unbelievably large amount of downloads and uploads of information, music,videos and all sorts of other things, as it is the engine of the information superhighway of our Information Era, in witch we live.

可是 ，渐渐地周围的森林被砍伐的所剩无几了，小河中原来清澈的河水也不见了踪影，却变成了臭气熏天的臭水沟。这都因为人类无情的破坏！小燕子对小鱼说：“人类 太可恶了，不仅把地球母亲弄得千疮百孔，还把我们赖以生存的家园给破坏了！“小鱼说道：是呀，因为人类 ，现在的水质变得越来越差了，我简直活不下去了。还因为人类工厂的废气排放，让我再也看不到湛蓝的天空了！”

当我看到了这个情景，我攥紧拳头，心里又伤心又愤怒，我想：那些人们有良心吗?请你们珍惜地球吧！

Environmental protection, there are many problems at present. The most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. Air pollution is very harmful to human health. Polluted water causes pain, resulting in death. Whats more, with the rapid expansion of modern society, vegetation greatly reduced.

In order to protect the environment, governments have done a lot of work. Adopted legislative measures to control air pollution, to protect forest resources and Marine resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, in todays government plays a most important role in environmental protection.

My view is that, in order to protect the environment, the government should take more concrete measures. First of all, should by the methods of education make people fully realize the importance of environmental protection. Second, should be more efforts to put the family planning policy into practice, because more people means severe pollution. Finally, to severely punish those who intentionally damage the environment. That they damage the environment is the destruction of man himself.

目前环保还存在着许多问题。最严重的问题就是空气、水和土壤的严重污染。污染的空气对人类的健康十分有害。污染的水引起疼病，造成死亡。更有甚者，随着现代社会的迅速扩建，植被大大的减少。

为了保护环境，各国政府做了大量的工作。采用了立法措施控制大气污染，保护森林资源和海洋资源，制止任何环境污染。因此，在当今的环保中政府起着最重要的作用。

我的看法是，为了保护环境，政府应当采取更具体的措施。首先，应当通过教育的方法使人们充分謒到环境保护的重要性。第二，应更加努力把计划生育政策付诸实施，因为人口多就意味着污染严重。最后，要严惩那些故意破坏环境者。使他们破坏环境就是毁灭人类自己。
