有一次学校组织课外知识竞赛。有一道题是这样的：树袋熊为什么浑身是香的?三个选择：A与生俱来的，B生活在清香中，C它吃了一种香的树叶，时间长了就香了。这道题我在哪见过，哦，想起来了，就是前天阅读的一篇科学论文。里面提到的，说是树袋熊爱吃桉树叶，这种树叶里有一种成分，吃多了时间长了就香了。我选了C。过了几天，试卷发下了一看，果然是C。还有好多题，我都见过，才把它们做对的。

还有一次，上作文课。老师要我们写关于劝学的文章。我就引用了一些名言、古诗。好多人都没有想到，可是我想到了。作文点评时，老师把这篇文章读给大家听，让大家学习，还表扬我爱读书呢。这些都是我平时多阅读多积累的效果。

我终于明白了，阅读能让我们多补充课外知识，写出好的文章。当然最重要的是阅读让生活变得更精彩。所以说阅读好处多多。

English is more important now. But it is difficult for many students to study it. Now I make some suggestion, maybe can help you. First, you should take notes and take them here and there. reading good books is one of the greatest pleasures in life. from good books, we can derive satisfaction, companionship and instruction. a good book can increase our happiness when we are cheerful, and lesson our trouble when we are sad. whatever purpose our reading may be, our contact with good books should never fail to give us enjoyment.

with a good book in our hands we never feel lonely. the people we meet in books may delight us as our companions and friends. our human friends may sometimes bore us, but good books are always ready to give us friendship and encouragement.

from good books we can heartily enjoy the beauties of nature, the triumphs of science and technology, and the treasures of music and art.

from good books, moreover, we can still draw much instruction which few companions can offer. reading good books can help to advance our knowledge and improve our mind so as to equip ourselves to perform our work more efficiently.

Knowledge can be acquired from many sources. These include books, teachers and practical experience, and each has its own advantages. The knowledge we gain from books and formal education enables us to learn about things that we have no opportunity to experience in daily life. We can study all the places in the world and learn from people we will never meet in our lifetime, just by reading about them in books. We can also develop our analytical skills and learn how to view and interpret the world around us in different ways. Furthermore, we can learn from the past by reading books. In this way, we won’t repeat the mistakes of others and can build on their achievements.

Practical experience, on the other hand, can give us more useful knowledge. It is said that one learns best by doing, and I believe that this is true, whether one is successful or not. In fact, I think making mistakes is the best way to learn. Moreover, if one wants to make new advances, it is necessary to act. Innovations do not come about through reading but through experimentation.
