Social networking has gained huge worldwide popularity in recent years, especially among college students. In China, college student is the main force of social networking, 97.7% of which are fond of instant messaging and 80.7% prefer social networking sites like micro-blog and Q-zone (China Internet Network Information Center, 2013). Moreover, Michigan State University Original Study also finds that compared with Chinese students, American students are more tied to social media (2013). Therefore, nowadays there is a heated debate about advantages and disadvantages about social networking’s influence on college students.

Obviously, there are a number of positive features on social networking. It provides a convenient access to consolidate the relationship with people they know, make friends with strangers without restrictions of space and share happiness and sorrow. What’s more, social networking also has educational functions including reducing college drop-out rates, motivating students to work as a team, sending information about assignments, reminding students about deadline and stimulating students to help each other. (BBC News, 2009). There is no doubt that social networking plays a significant role in eiching students’ college lives.

However, every coin has two sides. There are also many disadvantages on the influence of social networking, among which, “soft addiction” is the most serious problem, distracting students from study. Because of lack of self-restriction, many students would waste plenty of time to search the social networking sites unconsciously, followed by a strong tendency to blame themselves (Li, 2013). This kind of “soft addiction” and distraction was also confirmed by Zhang (2011) who conducted a survey by questionare of 500 Chinese college students from different schools and found that 33% students could not bear one-week life without social networking and 77% students could not help themselves accessing social networking site during classes. Furthermore, a social experiment was performed by Harrisburg University (Pilkington, 2010) to figure out the effect after initiating blackout of all social networking sites. It turned out that some students became more concentrated on

the tutor and making notes instead of having instant messaging running in classes.

As far as I’m concerned, the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages, especially in China, where social networking is used for communication and entertainment and seldom plays the educational role (Li, 2011). The priority of a college student is to study hard instead of being addicted to social networking. Therefore, it is imperative for them to realize their “soft addiction” to social networking and correct their behavior.

没错，这既指的是我，同时也代表了热爱游戏的小伙伴们。回忆起那令人怀念的小学时光，也无非就是学习和电脑。而我一天中最美好的时光就是静静地坐在电脑前，享受这那难得的美好时光，畅游在神奇的网络世界。每天如此。

快乐总是短暂的，一场罪恶的期末考试将我和电脑从此分离，迎接我的是一张又一张白花花的试卷，这跟杀了我又有什么样的区别？我又怎能忍受得了？不管了，家里的电脑不可以用就去网吧！顶多也是被骂一顿，家常便饭嘛……

好景不长。没过几天，妈妈就知道了。她像吃了火药似的，对我一顿狂骂，而我却只能配合，她说什么就是什么，我这才捡回了一条命。

第二天，网瘾又犯上来了，我趁着妈妈不在家又去了网吧。这次更惨，当面被抓，结果就不用说了。

哎！鼻青脸肿的我现在也只能在脑海中想象那些游戏画面了，要是我再去那恐怕就是竖着进去横着出来了。而陪伴我的却只有作业而已。

……

没有网络游戏的世界格外难熬。这不，总算上了初一，新的生活也就此开始。

一次偶然的机会，语文老师叫我们查资料，爸爸也不得不让我使用电脑。于是，我轻易地知道了电脑的密码，我感觉我的幸福生活就要开始了！

这不，我每天放学就急着跑回家，干净利索地打开电脑开始玩游戏，等爸爸回来了再关上，装出一副好学生的样子查资料，我也因此得到了爸爸的奖励。真是完美的计划，漂亮！日子过得分外舒坦，而我也把放学玩电脑当成了家常便饭，就算爸爸回来了也依旧不畏：等他进来时我就把游戏给关了，等他出去后我再打开。我自己都有点佩服我自己的智慧和胆量。

就是这样，我每天呆在电脑面前的时间越来越长，玩电脑就是我每天必不可少的一件事。这不，周末正好游戏有活动，凌晨12：00在线就可以领取超级武器。这对我来说是一种无法抗拒的诱惑，我又怎么会放过呢？夜深人静，惦记这事的我无意识地从睡梦中惊醒，却发现才10：40，再睡一会儿就可能睡过头了，不能睡，闲着也是闲着，为何不玩几把呢？好主意！

夜晚的瞌睡让我困得不行，但我又怕一不小心睡到天亮，而且还是在电脑面前，第二天一早我又怎么去解释呢。不行，于是我拿了几包咖啡喝了下去，这下想睡都睡不着啦。

时间又过了一个小时，距离12：00越来越近了，而我沉迷于游戏之中，完全忘却了危险，仿佛此时世界是和平的。忽然，一束强烈的光从窗外准确地照射到我的身上。大事不妙，我立刻手忙脚乱地关掉电脑，飞身一跃……

门开了，梦醒了。伴随着电脑的关机声，我，陷入了前所未有的危机之中：唾骂声，拍打声，哭声，声声入耳，不，是声声入骨。

第二天，我全身没一块没红的肉，学校里同学们也为我感到悲哀，有些同学还在说昨晚玩了个通宵，我就只有“呵呵……”了。这就是人与人之间的差别。

哎！眨眼就到了初二，我连电脑都没碰过了，也因此忘掉了它。没想到没了它，我的人生变得分外充实，不仅成绩上来了，就连零花钱也出乎意料地涨了上来，这可是我原来想都没想过的事情。没了网络游戏，我的人生从此变得有意义；没了网络游戏，我有了一个幸福的家庭；没了网络游戏，我仿佛看到了未来。

真正读懂了网络游戏，有一天你就会真正体会到何谓“一场游戏终究是一场梦”。

也许，过程虽苦，可结果却很甜美。

A couple of years ago, individuals can only take courses at real schools. In other words, only when they go out to schools by themselves will they have lessons which they want to have. However in recent years, with the development of internet and education mode, online teaching has become increasingly common. This kind of teaching mode means that a student just needs to have classes sitting in front of a computer at home, which appealing to lots of people.

It is widely acknowledged that online teaching has its apparent merits. First and foremost, shared resources online are accessible to all people, which costs a little at the same time. This feature brings about significant benefits especially to those who fail to afford that many courses at real schools. Secondly, online teaching makes it come a reality that one is able to study at the best pace suitable for him according to his own schedule. Last but not least, studying at home without going out is much more comfortable as well as convenient to busy people in contemporary society.

Meanwhile, there is no denying that online teaching also has demerits that cannot be dismissed. For one thing, online teaching, not like face-to-face teaching, lacks interaction between teachers and students, causing teachers not to receive feedbacks from students in time. For

another thing, for people who are poor at self-discipline, learning online at home will be a less effective way since they are easier to be distracted by other things. Besides, all of online teaching courses are ready-made rather than custom-made, that is to say, it is troublesome to be flexible when changes are needed.

grace is one of my classmates. she is not good at study, though she usually works very hard. maybe she just doesn’t find the learning method suitable for her. in my mind, she is clever. thongh she is not good at study, she is popular in our class. in all people’s mind, she is kind and optimistic. treating everyone as friend, she has no enemy. as she doesn’t study well, it is hard to avoid feeling sad. however, everytime she just feels sad for a while and then recovers for the first one. sometimes it is her who comforts us for not for not doing well in the exam. look, she is so cute!

格瑞斯是我的一个同学。她学习不好，虽然她平时非常努力学习。也许她只是没有找到适合自己的学习方法而已。在我眼里，她是很聪明的。虽然她学习不好，但她在班里人缘很好。在所有人的眼里，她是友好，乐观的。她对待每个人都像朋友一样，所以她没有敌人。因为学习不好，难免会感到悲伤。但是，每次她都只是难过一会，就第一个恢复了。有时候还是她安慰我们这些因为考试不好而难过的人。看，她是如此的可爱！

Dear Headmaster,

Im writing this letter simply to tell you something about the canteen

service in our school.Im the minister from the life department of the Students

Union.

In general, the service is satisfactory. The dishes look inviting and taste

delicious as well. The price of the meals is OK for us and the variety of dishes

changes every week.Whats more, the workers there treat us as their friends,

which makes us feel very happy.

However, we often have to stand in line for a long time before we can get

the meal. You could understand how precious time is to us students. Therefore,

may I suggest something be done to solve the problems such as the dish quality

and surroundings so that we can all enjoy our meals at school?

玩“网络游戏”是好?还是坏? 现在“网络游戏”流行很广，种类很多。赛车，暴力，角色等等。那到底该不该玩呢? 首先，暴力游戏是绝对不可以玩的。因为这种游戏充满了血腥，无疑是一个“非法”。作为学生的我们应该“敬而远之”，才不会沉迷与它。再有，这样也耽误了学习，浪费了时间，这种“无知”的行为，我们一定要克制! 其次，“花钱”游戏也不能玩。不仅钱没了，莲连那暂时的“荣誉”早晚也会消失。我们是学生，还是个“纯消费者”。根本没有资格花这份钱。所以我们千万不能玩这种游戏。

话又说回来了，凡事不能总往坏处想。有的游戏也不错，不仅给我们带了快乐，还有让我们动脑筋。这难道不好吗?玩“网络游戏”好不好，在于你玩什么游戏，以及你为此付出 的“代价
