我们的高水平大学也想招收最有创造潜力的优秀生，但目前的“应试教育”已经将学生与生俱来的个性和“创造潜质”扼杀殆尽。

我们在很大程度上还处于“人情社会”、“熟人社会”、“权力社会”之中，即使名牌大学恐怕也不能幸免，招生、考试中的不正之风、种种违规现象屡禁不止。不要说高级别领导人出面说话，就是某级教育行政部门、招生部门，乃至其它可以制约大学的部门和权势者，都会让学校难于捍卫自己的“独立精神”。
