oh god! i think i was about seven and half when my sisters and i pulled this stupid stunt. i remember watching television with them and the show on happened to be our favorite program to watch. all of a sudden we heard my brother, chris, yelling from the backyard. so we all headed out there to see what happened. when we finally located him, he was in a tree hanging from the highest tree branch. crying, he explained to us that he had climbed up the tree and couldnt get down. we thought, okay, one of us should climb up and get him off, but we couldnt manage to get him moving down.

it was then my youngest sister, ka, who was five and a half at the time had seen a similar situation. she suggested we grab a sheet, hold it under the branch chris was hanging off of, and tell him to drop so we can catch him. my other sister, yams, who is one year younger than me, peered at me to confirm the idea and i said "yeah, lets try that".so we grabbed a sheet from the closet and went to hold it beneath the tree. now mind you, the ages holding this blanket were ranging from seven and a half to five and a half, thus the sheet was probably being held up to our waist and also close to touching the ground. but we were confident it could work.

we looked up to chris and he looked down at us a bit hesitant. i dont blame him the poor guy. it was then we told him to let go and to fall on his back. chris looked at me and asked "are you sure ill land on the blanket?" now, my brother at the age of four, had a cute squeaky voice. but because of a problem at birth with his tongue being a bit attached to the mouth, it came out more like this, "ah you sho awill lan on da blanked?", "yup!", i told him, "were sure!" and he let go.now when i think about chris letting go of that branch, i think of his faith in me and my sisters and i also think how stupid he was to trust us, cause when that boy let go he was in for a big surprise. chris fell right through that sheet and landed right on his stomach. and no matter how tight we held on to the sheet, he still managed to get through.

we were shocked and a bit worried and we looked at the ground where he landed. this tiny seventy pound boy had made a hole right through the sheet and landed. he was positioned like one of those chalk drawings you find after a homicide, with one arm near the head another to the side and the knee bent a bit. we might as well have drawn an outline because he wasnt moving. so we bent down to check if he was still alive and when we asked him if he was okay he uttered these five words… "ah stee hi da flow" in other words, "i still hit the floor!" poor little man! but before you condemn us, chris is fourteen now and he still bugs us about it, any tree he climbs he gets down on his own and, strangely, he wants to be a fireman when he grows up. now he can write that he had personal experience about jumping and catching. see, no harm done…

I went skiing with my friends on Sunday. It was my very first time to try this super interesting sport. I really enjoyed skiing A LOT, and I think that I have potential!!! For the entire afternoon, I only fell down twice before our coach actually came and taught us the correct postures. After some basic and advanced practices, I did try to ski down the hill, and it was AWESOME ! I think Ill try to go skiing as often as possible. 我于一九九六年生于四川省自贡市一个小城镇里。父亲是个文化人，带着一副高度近视眼镜，显得斯斯文文，做起事来，总是粗中带细，雷厉风行;母亲有点文化，但不高，她做起事情来胆大心细，真有点天不怕，地不怕的样子，她不做则罢，一做准成。

记得五岁那年，母亲送我去体校学游泳，我的同伴都是些老队员或者已经参加过许多场比赛获得过名次的游泳健将，训练完后一有时间他们老是不忘捉弄我一番，直到我大哭。由于当时我的胆子十分的.小，每每下水，同伴游过打来的一个个浪花，都会把我吓得哇哇直哭，为了不呛水，我把池边抓得牢牢的。

后来教练硬是把我拖下水去憋气，刚开始一憋气我就哭，一哭教练就把我拖下水去，慢慢的，憋气次数多了，我就不怕了。我还叫同伴来看我表演憋气呢……从五岁那年一直到六七岁之间，教练已经教会了我漂浮以及长时间憋气的技巧。到了六七岁，教练就教我四种游泳的基本姿势。

一直学到了八岁，我才把这四种游泳姿势学好，因为那时侯我不动脑筋，再加上反应迟钝，所以学得十分的慢。在学游泳期间，因为不准家长买吃的看望，还不准帮我们洗衣服，所以年幼的我只能自己洗自己的衣服，把我身上的娇气全磨灭掉了;早上刷牙洗脸都是用冷水，谁先接到水谁先洗脸刷牙，由于我的个子不高，老是够不到，所以总有那么几个“好心人”为我接水。

终于，因为那时我的抵抗力差，老生病，我便停止学游泳，回到家里把心思全部都用在学习上。后来我才知道，原来我小时侯胆小怕事，做什么都要人陪，还不和其他小朋友玩，母亲为了锻炼我的胆量，增强我的体质，母亲真是用心良苦啊!

慢慢地，我意识到：一个人要想成功，要有胆有识，敢于拼搏，敢拼才会赢。我之所以一直未能成功，正是缺乏这些精神。

2004年夏季一个温暖的上午，随着一声婴儿的响亮的啼哭，我来到了这个美妙的世界。

本人身家清白，无不良爱好，长相不是很丑。现在已11岁，回首看看我是怎么度过自己的十多个春秋的吧。

回到八年前，那时我三岁。听妈妈说，那时我才学会走路，走得不稳，却想乱跑，看什么都好奇。看见门喜欢用头撞，用脚踢，弄得鼻青脸肿也不长记性。有时候爱闭着眼睛乱转，分不清东南西北，转晕了就会摔倒，然后大哭，往往会把自己弄得又脏又疼。这就是我懵懂又天真的三岁。

Thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing to London. It was the first time that I had seen the Tower or any of the other famous sights. If Id gone alone, I couldnt have seen nearly as much, because I wouldnt have known my way about.

The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare. I still remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no climate. During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before the night falls. So I think I was lucky.

I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive for me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down to Greenwich. It was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall never forget.

The sense of wonder and the touch of heavenly joy that linger after the vision dissolves convince Rabbi Banish of the folly of judging God’s actions by human standards. The rabbi has interpreted the apparent tragedy of his children’s premature deaths as evidence of God’s alienation， forgetting that God is by definition inscrutable. That God’s purpose transcends man’s ability to prehend it is made clear to the expiring rabbi when the family dead approach his deathbed with arms outstretched to enfold him among them. For theirs is the kingdom of heaven to which a loving God has called them; and their deaths have evidenced not God’s wrath but his grace.

A version of Rabbi Banish’s deathbed revelation appears to Rabbi Nechemia in Something Is There. At twenty-seven he is already racked by the doubts that torment Rabbi Banish. So shaken is his belief in God that he deserts his rabbinical post in provincial Bechev for the flesh-posts of Warsaw. Although the prostitutes， unclean food， and shady business dealings which he witnesses there hold no attraction for the erstwhile rabbi， they intensify his revulsion from the world created by God and therefore his alienation from God himself. No explicit promise of immortality， let along of salvation， attends Rabbi Nechemia’s vision. Perhaps grace is accorded Rabbi Banish because his doubt is triggered by devastating personal losses， and withheld from Rabbi Nechemia because his despair is the bitter fruit of idle speculation about the unknown. Whatever the reason， relatively few of Singer’s characters are granted at the moment of death the transcendent vision of unity between man and God that appears to Rabbi Banish in Joy. For the fortunate few， release from time into eternity is affected by a divine visitation which obliterates distinctions between past and present， living and dead.

These kinds of characters are lost in their world because of the seducement of the material world. They doubt their formal faith and gradually give up what they believed. But after they have experienced so much hardship， they realize that they cannot adapt to the life of the outer world so they regress to the former life with formal faith. They realize the importance of God and they begin to think seriously about the relationship between man and God. At last they find their right way of their life.

11、冷静：不因小事、寻常之事、不可避免之事而慌乱。

12、节欲：少行房事，除非考虑到身体健康或者延续子嗣；不要房事过度，伤害身体或者损害自己或他人的安宁与名誉。

13、谦逊：效法耶稣和苏格拉底。

以上13种品德，我有许多的不足，我不希望自己成为伟大的圣人，但不希望自己成为自己讨厌的人。

富兰克林说：“不要说一切直接与别人的意见相左的和一切过分自信的话。”这一点我的缺点非常明显，从此以后不直接提出与被人相左的意见，但仍要真诚、间接的表达自己观点，这种谈话的艺术其实更需要自己的内心成熟。

这本书，如中国的《道德经》，受益终身、受用终身，时时勤读之。
