after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyones precious time.

Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some

magic in a world where the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful

imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking.

This is what Id like to ask you to help with. A little more time for

children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract

them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their

breath rather than sob with their tears. Especially those caring for family

members, or suffering illness, hunger or poverty. Especially those hiding in

buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a

boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their

worlds with a moment of joy and hope.

When I think about it youve got it tough this year... And when I really

think about it Im not sure that asking you for a lightsaber and getting one

(not that I ever did by the way) is equatable with controlling the space time

continuum and making the good of childhood last a little longer.

But you do inspire wonder and awe amongst those that write you letters and

go to sleep hoping there might be a new object in their possession come dawn.

You inspire good behaviour and, at least in my memory, some desperate last

minute attempts to redeem bad behaviour so as not to be overlooked. Spare a

thought too for those millions who want to write to you but through illiteracy

cant. Hear their words and help to give them the time and chance to learn how

to read and write so they can better their lives and escape their impoverished

beginnings.

I feel a little sorry for you. And I guess Ive done exactly what I said I

wouldnt... Asked you to help with adult problems and solve some of the greatest

worries we have for our children. I promise to leave some extra port and mince

pies for you!

Today is the first day I stay at Zhejiang University.I’m happy and

我有一只狗.它白黄相间.它看上去像一只小狐狸.它很可爱.我们都喜欢它.它的名字叫Hali.

它有两只小耳朵和两只又大又亮的眼睛.它的大鼻子是黑色的.它的鼻子很敏锐，耳朵也很敏锐.它的牙齿很尖利.它经常在中午睡觉.上午和下午它通常和我们出去.它早晨起得很早.

很多人都非常喜欢Hali，因为它是一只很有趣、很好的狗.

I have a dog. Its white and yellow. It looks like a small fox.Its

very lovely. We like it very much. Its name is Hali.

It has two small ears and two big bright eyes. Its big nose is black. Its nose is very sensitive and its ears are sensitive，too. Its teeth are very sharp.

It often sleeps at noon. In the morning and in the afternoon it usually goes out with us. It gets up very early in the morning.

Many people like Hali very much because its a very funny and nice dog.

我的名字叫竹君，姓周。我出生在1997年11月18日，在荷泗镇的一个农村家里，有父母和我，我出生不久就搬家了，那时生活比较拮据。

记得我还小的时候，有一双水汪汪的大眼睛、红润润的嘴唇、白胖胖的小脸蛋，头上扎着两条冲天的小辫儿，跑起步来一蹦一跳的，小时候的我可调皮了。

有一次，我看见妈妈买了一个极其漂亮的花布，花布上面有一朵朵鲜花，可美丽了。这时候我便有一个有趣的想法：把它们剪下来贴在纸上，再拿给妈妈看，妈妈一定会夸奖我的，我越想越美，我不由自主地找来工具，等妈妈出去后我便开始工作，干了一会儿，我便没有耐心了，就不干了，把剪下的都贴在了纸上，对那时的我来说是很漂亮的。刚好，妈妈也回来了，我便把得意的作品拿来给妈妈看，不料，妈妈给我的“回报”不是夸奖，而是批评，说我这样做会破坏了另一种美丽是不好的。于是，我便哭了，我真不懂妈妈是什么意思？

时间飞快而过，不知不觉就到上学的年龄了，那时我刚满六岁，在入学时的第二个学期我加入了少先队组织，成为了一名光荣的少先队员，在读完四年级的时候，由于爸爸的工作变动，我也转到了另一间学校读书，开始很不适应，但后来好多了，而且我还交了许多好朋友。

现在我读六年级了，和以前调皮的我有了很大的变化。我现在已经是一个性格开朗的小女孩了，也由于成绩优良，所以班主任让当学习委员，我也很乐意，在语文、数学和英语当中，我对语文和数学比较感兴趣，不过我的英语成绩也不差。在体育、劳动这两个方面中，我都不是很好，但我善于帮助同学，所以大家很喜欢我。

这就是我到现在的经历，怎么样？你对我又有什么样的看法呢？我相信，在我的未来里，一定会更加美好！

Every time when I run in the playground, I always set a target for myself,

such as I need to finish 3000 meters. It is such a long distance, but if I set

the target of 500 meters and repeat the target, then I can finish my original

goal. It is the same way to realize our dreams. Though we are in middle school

now, we need to equip ourselves with knowledge. What we learn today will decide

what we will become tomorrow. The first goal for us is to enter a better high

school and then continue to fight for the college. But college is not the end to

fight, which is just the beginning. The way to realize our dreams is long.

After I read the news, I felt very excited. Lei Feng was a good example all

the young people in our

country learned from in the 1960s and 1970s. But these years people seem to

have given up the ideas of Lei Feng. they dont care about public interests and

never think for others. All these have done GRE at harm to the society.

Now, we students have realized the seriousness of the problem, and have

decided to learn from Lei Feng. We are glad that Lei Feng has come back

again.

三中柳欢者，年且十三，阿北而居。

基因决定性状。我身高不算矮，脖子也不短，只是走起路来时常弓着腰，因此身边人不免说一句：“脖子长应当有气质，为什么你却跟长颈鹿似的？”我一笑置之。

我有些小懒--上数学课的时候，老师让在练习本上做些题，我每每都不抄题干。直到上次被发现后重写了一次，我才意识到，脚踏实地才是最好的办法。

运动本是强身健体的好习惯，但对于我来说却并不感兴趣，因此我的身影不出现在踢足球，打篮球的队伍中。偶尔课间去用电脑放首歌，这才是我的爱好！要么就是出去散步，看看天生的云，远处的树。甚至与好友一同玩跷跷板，也是不错的活动。

由于不参加什么大的团体活动，结交的义士也不多，只有三位好友常常相聚在一起交谈甚欢。引用梁老师的话就是‘四人帮’。但这可不是小团体主义，我也是积极向上的新时代青年，只是向往着神仙般的生活。

有时候闲着没事干就会单手架着脑袋似乎是陷入沉思，从旁观者的角度看上去就像一尊高冷的雕像。

总而言之，我就是那个外表冷漠，实则热血的积极小青年。其实，有很多事情我也是很乐意去关心的！

New Years Eve and New Years Day are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in honor of Heaven and Earth, the gods of the household and the family ancestors.

The sacrifice to the ancestors, the most vital of all the rituals, united the living members with those who had passed away. Departed relatives are remembered with great respect because they were responsible for laying the foundations for the fortune and glory of the family.

The presence of the ancestors is acknowledged on New Years Eve with a dinner arranged for them at the family banquet table. The spirits of the ancestors, together with the living, celebrate the onset of the New Year as one great community. The communal feast called "surrounding the stove". It symbolizes family unity and honors the past and present generations

There are many festivals in china. And among them, I like the most  the Spring Festival. Because of it, not only  the biggest holiday of the year, but the start of a new year, but also all of us all the people, come together festival.

Before the Spring Festival, people go home, no matter where they are. Usually, we in the new years Eve dinner. Then the family sat together to share their lives or aircraft. Some people play games or go out to play. On New Years day, people get up early to meet people who say. Children can get lucky money from relatives. In the coming days, we will vit relatives to pay New Years call, give them. In a word, it  the family reunion and we all the time to enjoy it.

我姓刘，名晓影。妈妈说我是1995年生的，而户口本上登记的是1998年的。我是衡阳人，现在在珠晖二中上初一，成绩一般。我喜欢的科目是语文和数学，爱好打羽毛球，不过球技一般。

7岁时，我应该去上学了，可老师却说我还没到年龄，不肯给我报名。妈妈想和老师说一说，反而被老师数落了顿。所以我一直到8岁才上一年级。因为没上过学前班，学习就有一点跟不上，老师便瞧不起我

9岁时，家里建新房，妈妈太忙，我不得不承担一点儿家务活，像扫地、洗碗、切菜、煮饭等等。

11岁时，我渐渐懂事了，不想让老师小瞧我，发誓要让大家刮目相看。我便努力地改进自己的缺点，学习也勤奋了许多。经过一年的努力，大有收获。有天下午，老师从我家门前经过，看见了我妈妈，对她说：“你这个女儿，最近进步挺大的，真是让我刮目相看啊！”我听了心里乐滋滋的。

13岁时，有一天不小心被一辆摩托车撞了脚，妈妈连忙带我去医院。幸好没伤到骨头，只有点痛，走路一拐一拐的。我来到学校，同学们都来安慰我，老师亲切地问我；“刘晓影你的伤怎么样？要不要请假回去休息？”我连忙说：“不用了，谢谢老师的关心。”

2009年7月，我小学毕业了。再见了，亲爱的老师；再见了，亲爱的同学们。我要感谢所有教过我的老师，是你们让我从一个年幼无知的小孩，成为一个成熟懂事的少年。

我今年15岁了，在珠晖二中上初一。在这里，我又认识了许多新老师，结识了许多新同学，也学到了许多的知识。我将继续努力，一取得更好的成绩，来回报家人，回报老师。

Iam a primary school student. In school, I have four classes in the morning andtwo in the afternoon. Usually, the classes are over at about half past four. SoI have much time to have fun. We students have many activities after class. Forexample, I like playing badminton and table tennis. Some of my classmates likeplaying basketball and football. There is a gym in my school. It’s a popularplace, too. My school encourages students to do exercise after class. So myschool provides us many places and equipment. I like taking part in variousactivities after class. It makes me happy.
