Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come

in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man

and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong.

On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and

bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night

when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother.

She smiled to us and said "April fools"!

Last summer holiday, I visited to Xiamen with my parentsby plane. My

English teacher once told us that Xiamen is a beautiful city that worth of

visiting. We stayed there for four days. We lived in a small fishing village. On

the first day, we visited to Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple. Xiamen

University is consideredas the most beautiful and romantic campus in China.

John is the most diligent student in our class. He is one of my friends. As a matter of fact, he gets along with his classmates. 现在正值秋季，这时才只有八、九点钟，清晨刚升起的阳光穿过郁郁葱葱的树林，照射到古老的长满青苔的城墙上，城墙犹如一个穿着铠甲的巨人，忠实地守护着荆州。城墙上长满了老树，有的如雄鹰，盘旋在空中，有的像小山丘，凹凸不平地布满了整个城墙。它们的叶子是墨绿色的，树干弯曲着，像驼背的老人。它们见到我来了，连忙向我点点头，我也友好地伸出手，握握它们的树叶。

靠别了老树，我来到了草地前，那片草地郁郁葱葱的，犹如一把把锋利的宝剑，草上还有露珠，就像一颗颗宝石，把草地妆点得更加美丽。这时，一阵秋风向我吹来，风里夹杂着泥土的芳香，哇！好久没有呼吸到这么新鲜的空气了！真爽呀！小草也顺着风儿的脚步向我招手，我也向它们回了一个微笑。

转眼间，时间不早了，我要回家了，我骑上自行车，幻想着自己驾驶着一艘小船行驶在金黄色的菜籽浪里。这时，小鸟却舍不得了，呼朋引伴地叽叽喳喳为我送行，小草也急了，拼命地向往挥手告别。我也十分不舍，但我不得不走了，于是也大声地向它们呼喊：
