我首先介绍一下美丽的云山吧，云山由七十二峰组成，以云闻名。山中云彩四时各异，步云亭如履云中，观云台观云海日出，山中云彩伸手可摘，云姿变幻无穷，美不胜收。走进云山，一棵棵郁郁葱葱的树木挺立着，像一位位战士守卫着我们的家园。绵绵起伏的山上，流着淙淙的溪水，如果你阴天上云山，你就会看到云雾缭绕，云一会儿从你的头上飘过，一会儿从你的脚下穿过，它们好像是有什么急事似的。山上的景色若隐若现，让你感觉如在人间仙境一般。夏天，这里可是个避暑的好地方，溪水淙淙，脱掉鞋子，把脚浸入溪水中，冰凉冰凉的，让你觉得好舒服。如果口渴了，喝口溪水，又凉又甜。

云山的景点很多，我最喜欢的是“水帘洞”，洞里的瀑布一泄而下，让人想起李白的诗句“飞流直下三千尺，疑是银河落九天”，洞中雕刻的猴子千姿百态，有的叉着腰，向远处张望，像是在看美景;有的用手遮住头，好像是怕太阳晒;有的目不转睛地望着瀑布，像是对瀑布的赞美;还有的看着山，好像是在说：“云山真美啊!”洞中的水从上而下，鱼儿在水中欢快的游着。

我的家乡休闲娱乐的地方也不少，我最喜欢的是武冈新广场。听爸爸说，这可是邵阳西南五县最大的广场，广场的四周种满了花草树木，枝繁叶茂，像一把把绿色的大伞，为我们遮风挡雨。一走进广场的大道，只见大道两旁的路灯上挂着美丽的中国结，像一排排卫士护卫着我们的家园。广场的正前方是一个宽阔的舞台，台子上有一个很大的电子屏幕，介绍武冈的水土风情。舞台的正对面是一个升旗台，竖立着三根银光闪闪的旗杆，红旗飘扬。以舞台与升旗台为轴线，两边对称地竖立着十六根汉白玉石柱，一排十二根汉白玉石柱上雕刻着栩栩如生、活灵活现的十二生肖图，另外四根柱上分别雕刻着：古老的城墙、历史悠久的宣风楼、山清水秀的云山、有名的铜鹅。

夜晚的广场热闹非凡，有爷爷奶奶、叔叔阿姨在跳舞，还有的在打羽毛球和乒乓球。这里也是孩子们玩耍的好地方，你瞧，大哥哥、大姐姐在那里玩打气球比赛，小弟弟、小妹妹坐着充气车，相互追逐着，不时发出一阵阵欢笑声。

最后，我给大家介绍一下武冈的美食，武冈是中国的卤菜之都，美食卤菜是武冈的特色，有卤铜鹅、卤豆腐、卤牛肉、卤猪耳等，还有武冈风味小吃：南门口的米粉、水南桥的米豆腐、旱西门的蕨粑粑、骧龙桥的油炸粑、高庙下的发糕等。

I was born in an ordinary family, but the love my parents gave me made me

feel that I was the happiest girl in the world. Before I went to middle school,

my parents decided to let me live in the hometown, where I spent the good time.

I was surrounded by green trees and clean water. Every day, I would play funny

games with my friends. When I went to middle school, I left hometown and moved

to the city to live with my parents. I needed to focus my attention to study.

Every night, my father would check my homework and if I had questions, he would

help me to solve them. My mother always made delicious dessert for us. When I

finished homework, we ate them together and talked happily. I had the good time

of my childhood.

Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive. He once had good dream about his life, but he had to waste most of his life in prision. In my opinion it was Frank’s father that distoryed his life. His father didn’ t give him freedom, and Frank can’t had strong resistance spirits, and because he didn’t control himself and broke the law.The energitic Frank will never come to us, and he became a man who didn’t wanna talk. As for Meggie, I think she was a good girl. She was beautiful and smart, but she it was wrong for her to love Ralph. Meggie was an excellent girl, she was able to find an outstanding boy to love her, but she put all her love on Ralph even she married Luke. She married Luke just because Luke looked like Ralph. Meggie wanna be a thorn bird, but I think it was too cruel to her. She was so kind that she shouldn’t stand that king of pain, and I think she was born to ha一ve a happy life. I pity for her.

Both the story of thorn birds and the legend are painful and beautiful, but not every one can be the thorn birds, because it is not our porpose to ha一ve a painful life. We are born to be happy. In Chinese culture, it is every childs duty to return their parents as

they grow up. The children know their duty and they work hard to give parents a

better life. As a child, I was grateful to my parents as they gave me all their

love, so I made up my mind that I must earn a lot of money and then I could pay

back my parents money. But as I grew up, I realized that money was not that

only way I could return my parents. Whats more, my parents dont care about my

money, and they just want to spend more time with me. When I grow up, I will

Thanks to the government, our hometown has developed rapidly in recent years. The living conditions are much better and more comfortable. The roads are wide. Some people have their own cars. My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

Last summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of

our country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers

and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are

lots and lots of visitors.

Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin (stone forests). There are all kinds of

strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big

stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls,

double-edged swords, mice, elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone

like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.

I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight

are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all

like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I

really had a good time.

me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the

elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are

very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.

The trip to Yunnan impressed me greatly. I will never forget it.

Newspapers and websites are two major new media in the world today, both of which can provide us with lots of news and information. But they’re different in some ways.

Newspapers enjoy a longer history and often come out daily with more reliable news and information. They can be carried and read almost anywhere you like. So many people like reading them. But they can only contain texts and photos.

On the other hand, websites are quite new and popular, especially among young people. Websites have not only texts with pictures but also audios and videos, which makes stories more interesting. What’s more, they are updated from time to time. So the latest news is always seen on websites instead of in newspapers. Now great changes have taken place in my hometown.The environment has become more beautiful.The mountains are all green,the river clearer and the sky bluer.Many people all have thier own cars and have a happy life everyday.And now, every year,thousands of people from all over the world come to visit our hometown.My hometown becomes more and more famous.
