寒假中，我们还迎来了中国的传统节日——春节。今年是鼠年，也是我的本命年。大年初三那天，天气晴朗，我们全家和干妈一家去南山的丝绸之路滑雪场去滑雪。到了滑雪场，我看到雪具大厅里人声鼎沸，很多人穿着五颜六色的滑雪服在办理滑雪登记。屋顶上挂着红灯笼，墙上贴着春联、福字。好一派新春佳节的热闹景象。我们领取各自的雪鞋，雪板，雪仗。我迫不及待地赶紧换上雪鞋，穿上雪板，拿上雪杖。坐上观光缆车向初级道坡顶驶去。在缆车上，我遥望四周，蓝天白云下的南山粉妆玉砌、白雪皑皑，空气也十分新鲜。在城里哪能看到这样的美景，呼吸到这样新鲜的空气。经过一次又一次的练习我初步掌握了滑雪技巧。我那天玩的很开心。

寒假中，我也认真地完成了老师给我布置的各项作业。还按照学校的要求，阅读了很多好书如：《窗边的小豆豆》、《少年科学画报》等等。通过了阅读这些书，我开阔了视野，懂得了一些科学的道理，还知道了一些自然现象。我通过和二姑(数学老师)的一些交谈我知道了做奥数的方法和解题的步骤。在完成学习任务的同时，我还帮助爸爸妈妈做了力所能及的家务事，比如：帮爸爸妈妈洗碗、扫地、叠被子、购买年货……每一次都做的很细心，很到位。

今天是农历的大年三十，是阖家团圆的日子，今年我在外婆家过年。

吃完午饭后，我发现挨家挨户都挂着红灯笼，贴着春联，我也迫不及待地想贴春联，于是对妈妈说：“妈妈，我想贴春联。”妈妈答应了。我就去请姨父帮忙，把梯子和春联拿了过来。姨父先把贴在春联上的双面胶给撕下来，然后再把春联小心翼翼地贴在墙上，左看看、右看看，对齐了没有，这样春联就贴好了。

我们吃晚饭的时候，外面就有“啪啪啪”的鞭炮声了。我已经按捺不住，情不自禁地跑到外面观赏美丽的烟花，有的像菊花，有的像桃花，还有的像小雨点儿，真美!看着看着，我也蠢蠢欲动了，想自己亲手放鞭炮。外公让我去点大的鞭炮，开始我有点儿不敢，先旁观看了一会，发现有大人在，并不是很危险，最后我提心吊胆、小心翼翼地把鞭炮的引线给点燃了，马上我飞似的往回跑，“噼噼啪啪，噼噼啪啪……”好过瘾哦!

晚上，我们全家人围坐在一起，一边吃零食，一边看春节联欢晚会。晚会真精彩!有相声，有小品，有舞蹈，还有魔术……

I asked my English teacher this morning, “How do you learn Chinese when you were a child? Think about it, and you’ll find the answer.”

I cannot recall how I studied my native language, but I still remember the way my little cousin learned to speak. He listened to what people said and tried to imitate what he had heard. At two or three years old, he could express himself in simple language. Now, he is five years old, he can speak more perfectly. He is using language, thinking in it and talking in it all the time.

I understand if I use English all the time, it won’t seem so difficult. I will learn it quickly. It’s the best way to learn a foreign language.
