I noticed an ad. In the paper today you said you were looking for people to

join your expedition team. It sounded as if it might be fun so Im writing to

say Id like to come along.

About myself: I left school at 16 because I wanted to earn a bit of money.

After that I got a few part-time jobs as a waiter, etc. But I didnt stick to

any of them for long. Recently Ive been doing a bit of hitch-hiking round

Europe so Ive had some experience of traveling the hard way which should come

in handy on the expedition youre planning. By the way, Im a great guitarist so

I can keep you all amused round the campfire at night.

As the New Year has passed away, I think the cold weather will pass away

and gets warm soon, but I am wrong. This morning, it snows again and I have to

wear a lot of clothes. I guess this is the last snow and the summer is coming

soon. I miss summer. I can swim and play with my friends in summer.

Today, I look out of the window, outside a snow-white, the original snow,

this is the first snow in this winter! My back bags, walking in the street, the

girl is in the picture, too. She is Jims sister. Her name is Kate Green. Jim

and his sister are in the same school. They are English.

As a small girl, many teachers have asked me what do I want to be in the

future. My answer is always to be a teacher. It is my dream and I study so hard

to realize it. Being a teacher can pass the knowledge to others and guide them

to the right way. Thinking about the great contribution I would make, everything

is worthy.

Dear Jim,

Last Sunday my classmates and I went to Xiangshan Park.

We met at 7 oclock at the school gate. The weather in Beijing that day was

great. At around 8 oclock, we arrived at Xiangshan Park. There is a high tree

on the bottom of the hill. We had a party and played games under the tree. Then

we climbed to the top of Xiangshan Mountain. It was not very difficult for us to

do it. Next, we had lunch at the top of the hill. It was delicious. After lunch,

we saw some birds. They were friendly. And we saw a whole picture of Beijing.

"What a beautiful city!" I said. At that moment, we all felt so proud. I live in

Beijing now. The 2008 Olympic games was held here.

Well, they just looked at me bewilderingly. And then they smiled at me in silence. Indeed, how cute and innocent that smlie was, but how seriously my heart was hurt. I was just too frightened to keep listening to more answers like that. So,most of us cannot do it. But LeiFeng can.

LeiFeng died when he was only 22, but he remained a great deal of spiritual wealth to us.

LeiFeng likes reading books. No matter when and where, no matter how busy he was, he always took 5 hours a day to do some reading. So he became smarter and smarter through his tough perseverance.

So my dear friends, it is perseverance that keeps us continually doing something that is valuable or admirable in spite of any difficulties and discouragement. It is perseverance that keeps us renowned in due course.

In the Chinese lesson, I need to recite many old poems, which is very

difficult for the elder to do it, but it is so easy to me. As I am young and

full of energy, I can finish the job quickly. In the best age, I want to read

more books to enrich my life. The more I can recite, the more I can

remember.

I’m going to the sun on my holiday. I will go there by a spaceship. I will

take a big blue spaceship。

then I’ll pilot the spaceship to the sun. the sun is very hot. So I put on

the super-shirt. In the morning, I will have some sun burger for my

breakfast.

At eight o’clock, I will play with my friends there. they are super dog and

super girl. Super dog is white and black. Super girl is very clever. Super girl

and super dog like to play with me. So I play with them for forty minutes. then

I do my homework in my little red room on a small blue table. After my home

work, I will have my lunch. I will eat sun salad. I will make some red toy bear

to the sun babies. I will have red juice, red fish and red rice. All the things

are red. then I need a lot of water on the sun because the sun is too hot. So I

will walk to the spaceship. I’ll pilot the spaceship to the earth.

Watermelon is many peoples favorite. it is sweet and it has a lot of

water. watermelon has two colors, green outside and red inside. people usually

have watermelons in summer. but nowadays we can eat watermelon every season in

the year.
