利用寒假这一段宝贵的时间，我终于读完了列夫,托尔斯泰长达一百二十万字的著作《战争与和平》，不禁松了口气。这部带有浓郁的俄罗斯民族风格的恢宏巨制的主要情节是围绕着保尔康斯基、别祖霍夫、罗斯托夫、华西里四大贵族家庭的生活展开，并以一八一二年的俄国卫国战争为中心，反映了当时一系列的大事件。不仅如此，我们还可以学到很多东西，包括哲学、历史学、政治学、经济学、军事学甚至宗教学等等，这一切综合起来，就构成了一个庞大的思想体系。

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. 去年12月31日和今年元月1日，沙尘暴兄弟肆虐甘肃省河西走廊，兰州市出现浮尘，在他们的统治下，连白天开车都要开车灯呢。今年3月底以前，甘肃河西走廊和内蒙西部已出现沙尘天气9次之多。3月中旬，兄弟俩的踪影出现在距沙漠地区遥远的南京市，引起人们的恐慌。

沙尘暴兄弟气焰嚣张，甚至飘扬过海，登陆日本了，日本的电视新闻都在说：从中国来的6年来最大的一次沙尘暴袭击了日本的大部分地区。

沙尘暴兄弟对人类的危害这么大，不除不足以平民愤呀!我想发明一种机器，专门治理沙尘暴。当然，我的机器它并不是《西游记》中多闻天王的混元珠伞，能把花果山的猴子收拾得干干净净，而是一种能播撒绿色的机器。因为沙尘暴兄弟光靠挡是挡不住的，只有把他们消灭在“出生”的地方，才是治本的好办法。沙漠是沙尘暴兄弟的“出生地”，我发明的机器，能把他们困在沙漠里不能出来“作恶”。机器的形状象一个超级可乐瓶，里面装满了富于营养的物质和植物的种子，这种瓶子可以固定在飞机的肚子下面，飞到沙漠上空的时候，就通过操纵杆打开“瓶盖”，把营养物质和植物种子均匀地喷洒在沙漠表面，营养物质里面饱含植物生长所需的水分，经过科学家的特别配制，落到沙漠上后并不会马上被沙子吸收或蒸发掉，它会一直坚持到植物长大为止。我相信，过了不久沙漠上就会遍布绿色植物了。我的机器表面涂着漂亮的绿色，好像在暗暗地告诉着我们要保护环境。有了我发明的机器，沙尘暴兄弟这两个祸害人民的“罪犯”肯定被绳之以法了，哈哈!

当然，这只是我的幻想，现在真正地实现这个愿望还要等一段时间。所以，我们要从身边的一点一滴做起，从身边的小事做起，努力学习科学文化知识，将来有更多的发明创造，让大自然变得更加美丽!

学习语文要下苦功夫

【写法】 (一)筛选出充实可靠的材料。充实，指多方面选择，有一定数量。但不是堆砌，不是多多益善，而应以能充分说明论点为度。本文是短论，篇幅短小，论据的充实更有赖于紧扣中心，选择典型、新颖的材料。如选用周围熟悉的人和事，必须完全真实，不能夸大或缩小。 (二)检查材料是否与观点匹配。一看，是否是学习语文特有的材料。比如，举抄写一丝不苟、解题独立思考为例，就缺乏学习语文的典型性，扣题不紧，应舍弃。二看，是否围绕“苦”字选材。如果只选“上课认真听讲、作业认真清楚”等一般化材料，就难以证明学习语文下苦功夫之必要。

successful people have visions of what their life should be and they set lots of goals, both sbort-term and long-range, to help them realize the visions. by setting goals you are taking control of your life. it is like having a map to show where you want to go. a driver with an aim arrives at the destination without any waste of time or wrong turns.

从每天早晨起床，然后是漱牙、洗脸，一系列必须的“工作”，然后开始上那每天雷打不动的八节课，天天如此，月月如此。于是，我便对这重复的流水帐似的生活产生了怀疑，到底怀疑什么，连我自己都不知道。

我开始思考起那个问题，到底人为什么而活着，走路时，偶尔抬头看到那片蔚蓝的天空，便会很知足的想：人活着，可能是为了欣赏这美丽的天空的吧!吃饭时，也会想：该不会，人活着是为了填饱肚子的吧!

虽然我知道，这些肤浅的回答，并不是那个问题的真正答案，但是我也明白，这些却是人最基本最普通的生活。

生，容易;活，容易;生活，却很不容易。回想起自己走过的风风雨雨，没有李白那样萧洒飘逸，也没有陶渊明那样的悠然自得;没有刘胡兰那样大义凛然，也没有张爱玲那样哀怨离愁。人生经历虽称不上大起大落，但也让我对生活有了许多深刻的体会;有人曾说过，自卑是自信的影子，因为只有最优秀的人才会最怕失败，所以常到自卑，但我并不很优秀，可为什么我仅存的一点自信心都荡然无存了呢?

耳边又响起***叮咛：“孩子，不可以贪玩了，用心啊!只剩下一年半了!”我忽然觉得自己肩上担子的重，压得我快喘不过气来了!为了进入那座象牙之塔，我努力着，可难道人生来就是为了那东西?

或许，不是吧!这样的回答有点模糊，但我始终知道，这样的重担并不是仅仅我一个人扛着，做子女的，哪一个不肩负着父母殷切的期望?

人生最重要的一道门槛等着我去跨越，只要我们面对困难时，能笑笑，太累太困时也笑笑，面对失败和挫折时也笑笑，你将会发现，一切的不如意都是那么淡如烟云，轻如鸿毛。

人活着，是为了快乐，是为了奋斗;保尔说过，生命对每个人只有一次，所以我们要珍惜，珍惜生活中每一份感动，每一份失败，至少，这样的人生才不会空白。

让我们对世界、对别人、对自己轻松些，放开些，那么笑得最灿烂的一定是我们!

我的生日就在很高兴自己又长大了一岁，真正18岁了。镜子中还是我矮小的身形，要是在以前，我会禁不住感伤起来：我怎么就长不高呢?

身高，我一直以来的短处，本来没有在意，可随着年龄的增长，同龄的孩子，甚至小我几岁的妹妹都如雨后春笋般出落得亭亭玉立，而我依然在原地踏步。逢年过节，姐妹们去走亲访友，长辈们都惊喜地看着她们的变化。只有我被遗忘。当妹妹无心嘲笑我时，先前我会说些如“小巧玲珑”、“浓缩就是精华”的话来掩饰和安慰自己，后来我不得不沉默了。

有时候在人群堆里，我只知道眼前黑压压的一片。在宿舍晾衣服时，我不得不请别人帮忙，那高高在上的晾衣竿使我望尘莫及，天知道那感觉有多尴尬。

在经历了一件件事情后，我盼望着给自己增高。

当从电视、报纸或杂志上看到一些有关增高的介绍时，我便有种迫不及待，跃跃欲试的愿望。其实我也知道这些都是骗人的，根本不管用，可我就是那样漫无边际地幻想如何如何增高……增高……

原以为我人生最美妙的一个阶段会永远停驻这样一种幻想中，可上了高中，在一大堆朋友中我认识了她，让我从幻想中走了出来。

她叫吕萍，身高有169厘米，一个标准的高个女孩。一开始，我不愿意和她靠得太近。俗话说“绿叶衬红花”，我本来就矮，又怎敢和她一个高个子女孩走在一起。我有意地回避她，疏远她。敏感的她当然也感觉到了，就写了一封信给我，问我为何要那样待她?是不是她自己有什么不好?当时我紧张极了;其实我很喜欢吕萍，她是那种全身散发高贵气质又让人感到亲切、随和的女孩。我不想让我们之间有误会，于是就将原因告诉了她。哪知她却回了一句：“难道人的美丽就在高?”让我一时语塞。

想想也是，爷爷奶奶并没有因为我不高而不疼我，相反宠得;我的学习也并没有因为身高不够而很差，老师也没有因为我不够高而不重视我;那次的打水，正因为我矮小而窜过了拥挤的人群……在生活中我并没有因为身高而丢失什么，那我为什么又要去那么在乎呢?我一阵释然，长久以来心中的一颗结似乎一下子解开了。步入18岁的我现在对着镜中的自己，不再感伤，因为我懂得“我的美丽不在高”。
