塑料最早运用于农业地膜，给农业生产带来了极大的发展，可使农作物在任何季节生长，促进了市场消费。据市场统计，自1990～1995年，塑料的生产以每年8．9％的速度增长，已经席卷了整个地球。简直可以称作“白色革命”。但它在为人们提供方便的同时，也给人们带来了一场“白色灾难”。

至今，“白色污染”已经成为众所周知的一个新型名词。它主要指各种发泡塑料袋，农用地膜等给环境造成了污染，并且得到社会的普遍关注。

还有人做过统计，火灾中被浓烟熏死呛死的人是烧死者的4？5倍。在一些火灾中，被"烧死"的人实际上是先烟气中毒窒息死亡之后又遭火烧的。

浓烟致人死亡的主要原因是一氧化碳中毒。在一氧化碳浓度达1。3%的空气中，人吸上两三口气就会失去知觉，呼吸1？3分钟就会导致死亡。而常用的建筑材料燃烧时所产生的烟气中，一氧化碳的含量高达2。5%。此外，火灾中的烟气里还含有大量的二氧化碳。在通常的情况下，二氧化碳在空气中约占0。06%，当其浓度达到2%时，人就会感到呼吸困难，达到6%？7%时，人就会窒息死亡。另外还有一些材料，如聚氯乙烯、尼龙、羊毛、丝绸等纤维类物品燃烧时能产生剧毒气体，对人的威胁更大。

所以，我想提醒大家：“千万不要破坏环境，害人害己，而且对自己的身体没有好处！”

今年清明节时，爸爸自己动手做了清明饼，自己采的蒿青，说那才是真正的绿色食品。可谁知饼倒是做得不错，却有种怪味：汽油味。绿色食品不绿色了，反倒成了有毒食品，这是怎么回事呢？原来呀，爸爸的蒿青是在小区门口采的，那儿车辆进进出出的非常多，排出的尾气让人喘不过气儿，那小草一天24小时呆在那儿，能好吗？表面看起来绿油油的挺健康，其实早就中毒不浅了。要知道小草们的家园，我们的生活环境，早已被肮脏的恶劣的变质的空气所包围着，多么可怕呀！21世纪，大气污染，被称为社会一大公害。越是交通发达的国家，由汽车尾气排放的污染物越严重，已成为污染大气的罪魁祸首，激起了社会公愤。据各地监测分析，汽车尾气排放量已占大气污染源85％左右。目前，全世界的汽车拥有量已超过6亿辆，全世界每千人拥有汽车110辆。全世界的汽车拥有量以每年3000万辆的速度增长，预测到全球汽车数量将增到10亿辆。中国的汽车拥有量已超过1400万辆。在车辆不多的情况下，大气的自净能力尚能化解车辆排出的毒素。但眼下已车满为患，交通拥堵成为家常便饭，汽车本应具备的便捷、舒适、高效的特点却被过多的车辆逐步抵消。“汽车灾难”已经形成，汽车尾气更是害人不浅。

空气污染对人们的健康造成越来越大的威胁，而这些有毒气体70％出自汽车尾气。据医学界研究分析，汽车尾气的主要化学成分是二氧化硫、一氧化硫、氮氧化物、铅。它能引起呼吸道感染和哮喘，使肺功能下降，严重的可引起肺气肿。汽车尾气中的铅一般分布于地面上方1米左右的地带，正好是青少年的呼吸带，因而铅污染对青少年危害更重。汽车尾气中的一氧化碳与血液中的血红蛋白结合的速度比氧气快250倍。所以，即使有微量一氧化碳的吸入，也可能给人造成可怕的缺氧性伤害。轻者眩晕、头痛，重者脑细胞将受到永久性损伤；氮氧、氢氧化合物会使易感人群出现刺激反应，患上眼病、喉炎，尾气中氮氢化合物所含苯并芘是致癌物质，它是一种高散度的颗粒，可在空气中悬浮几昼夜，被人体吸入后不能排出，积累到临界浓度便激发形成恶性肿瘤。听听，多么可怕呀，可这一切又都是由人类自己造成的。人类呀，改变你们的生活方式吧！难道你们要做自己生命健康的杀手吗？
