I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

前几个月，我们学校组织了水果分享会，在水果分享会上到处都是笑声。我们小组也带来了许多水果。有的同学边吃边给大家讲笑话，笑得大家连腰也挺不起来了，有的同学表演节目，我们开心得连连拍手......那天我们吃的水果格外的甜，因为这是大家一起分享的。如果你也能来参加那该多好啊!

在同学们的帮助下，我学会了中国象棋。有一次，我和一个女同学一组，另外三个男同学一组下象棋。最后男同学那组赢了，他们用骄傲的目光看着我，我心里还真是不服气。我想我要再接再厉争取下次反败为胜，你说对吗?寒假回去我一定教你象棋，等你会了，咱俩再来赛一盘，看谁厉害，好吗?

这一个学期我们学校还组织了秋游活动，秋游的`地点是百万葵园。刚踏进葵园的大门，阵阵葵花香扑鼻而来，使人感到格外的精神。我们来到了葵花园，当我看到这么多葵花的时候高兴得差点流出眼泪，有的葵花把头抬得高高的，好像再炫耀着自己的美丽，有的葵花耷拉着脑袋，好像正为我们的到来而鞠躬，有的葵花昂头挺胸，就像一个竖立的哨兵......我们还到了蝴蝶园，里面的蝴蝶还真是多，花的、白的、红的......那么多蝴蝶在翩翩起舞，看得我眼花缭乱。这次秋游不但丰富了我的课余生活，还让我增加了许多知识。今天，我们就谈到这里。

12年前那个初夏的傍晚，我们迎来了生命里最美好的礼物，那就是你，我们亲爱的儿子!当你开始吮吸妈妈第一口奶的时候，作为母亲的责任感就那么真实地落在我的心上和肩上了。从那天起，妈妈倾注了全部的爱，只为让你好好地健康快乐地成长!

健康，是我们对你最大的期望，因为早产的你那么瘦弱，只有健康的身体才是生命最基本的保障。快乐，是我们的祈愿，你的名字，丰源，知道是什么意思吗?那是因为你是我们丰沛的快乐源泉，是我们爱的源泉!你的快乐就是我们的快乐!

此时，我的脑中走马灯似的回放着你过去的事情和场景。还记得你背着书包进入小学第一天的情景吗?还记得你戴上红领巾的那一天吗?还记得你取得第一张奖状的自豪吗?还记得你在学校闯祸被批评吗?还记得你自己冒险跳楼梯摔成脑震荡的事情吗?你带给我们喜悦和自豪，也带给我们生气和焦心。但我们都要一一接受，因为你是我们的儿子，是我们的骨肉!

还记得第一次读书小组活动的主题吗?勇气!是的，我们希望你是一个有勇气的孩子，对男孩子来说，勇气更是必须具备的素质之一。

伴随勇气的还有智慧和责任感，我们希望你不仅是个有勇气的人，更希望你做事的时候不仅有勇气，还要有智慧，很多时候鲁莽和急躁会坏掉勇气。伴随勇气的还有责任感，那就是我们常说的担当。担当和承受我们所做的任何决定的后果，不管结局是好是坏，都不能逃避。

你有很多优点，善良、体贴、乐于助人。妈妈觉得善良是一种宝贵的品质，人无善心，就会变得自私，而自私最终只会让自己孤独，甚至失去一切。

我希望你大气，真诚待人，懂得感恩，朋友是一生的财富，要努力学习每个朋友的长处。对帮助你的人，不管是师长、还是朋友，抑或是比你弱的人，都要心怀感恩。对需要帮助的人，及时伸出援手，但是你不要期待别人感恩，只要你帮助别人的时候得到了快乐，那也丰富了你的人生。妈妈也欣慰地看到，你保持着和原来就读的锦西小学的同学们纯真的友谊，没有因转学和距离而淡漠了和他们的来往。

我希望你是个有梦想的人，有梦想才有追求。任何时候不要放弃梦想，但实现梦想需要你脚踏实地付出努力。

任何时候都不要绝望。当我看到你在毕业留言册的扉页写下自己喜欢的座右铭：“没有绝望的处境，只有绝望的人。”妈妈很欣慰，因为妈妈看到了积极向上的你!你喜欢《老人与海》中那个老渔夫，曾经在作文里写下自己为什么喜欢那句“一个人可以被毁灭，但不能被打败。”一个有了信念并为之不懈努力的人没有什么不能战胜!

人无完人，每个人都是特别的个体，所以你也有弱点，也有困惑，也会有迷茫。正视自己的弱点，并勇敢地战胜它，你的内心就会变得越来越强大。

请保持你的思想，做一个有主见的人。

请保持对书的热爱，对各种知识的吸收，它们会让你得到智慧，帮助你了解这多姿多彩的世界。

请保持对运动的热爱，你会健康相伴，更加阳光。

请保持对学习的热情，小学的成绩已成为过去，不管这个成绩曾经是辉煌还是沮丧，初中又会是一次洗牌。不要太看重分数和排名，我不想自己培育出的是一个只知读书的书呆子，但也不能轻视分数和排名，因为分数也是检验你学习的一个工具。不要畏惧压力，压力或许能激发出你的潜力。希望你积极参与各种帮助你改善性格的集体活动、社团活动，锻炼自己在集体场合面对众人的表现能力。妈妈不是跟你说过吗，有能力还要展示自己能力。虽然我们不可能每个人都成为最闪耀的那颗星，但我们也不能黯淡了自己。

我很高兴地看到你在嘉祥找到了自己以前欠缺的自信，快乐地学习和生活着。这些都和对你付出无私的爱和帮助的老师们分不开，他们在你获得成绩时为你欣慰，在你低落时给予你鼓励和帮助，相信他们的谆谆教导你也铭记在心!

回顾这12年你的点点滴滴，妈妈有时会有一种做梦的恍惚，你从曾经那个瘦弱的、在暖箱住了一夜、被护士阿姨称呼的“小不点”渐渐变成一个身高已逾妈妈的帅气大男孩。这一路，我们互相陪伴，你成长的每一个点滴进步都让我们欣慰。经历过风雨，见到过彩虹，你的烦恼也是我们的烦恼，你的快乐更是我们的快乐，不管以后还有多少风多少雨，我们永远在你身后支持你!记得不要怕在我们面前掉泪，当你想掉泪时;记得不要怕告诉我们你的烦恼，我们会帮助你一起解决，轻装前行;如果你想告诉我们你的一些小秘密，我们会很乐意和你一起分享;也要记得快乐的事和我们一起分享，快乐就会变成N倍快乐。我们的身体流淌着相同的血液，我们的爱就是你永远不绝的支撑!

每个人在成长的过程中都会有一个或几个人无私奉献，为你指点迷津，指明方向。而会这样做的人只有我们的老师。我身边也有一位好老师，他改变了我很多，帮助了我很多。 Each person will have one or more people in selfless dedication in the process of growing up, pointing for you, pointing the direction.The only one who will do this is our teacher.There is also a good teacher around me. He changed me a lot and helped me a lot.

我第一次看到她是在我刚刚退掉幼稚的外皮，踏入初中的大门时。她是我初中的第一位老师，也是影响我最深的老师。她就是我的班主任张老师。在她教我的阶段，我无时无刻不感受到她的关爱。她小心翼翼的呵护着我们这些刚发芽的小苗，一旦有不好的枝杈，她立刻为我们修剪，如果哪棵树长歪了，她也会立刻冲上去，即使是用自己的身体垫着她也要将树苗扶直。

俗话说，爱美之心人皆有之，尤其是我们这种处于青春期的少年，对于美更有一种热切的向往。于是刚上初中的我，由于没有很好的克制力，我原本花在学习上的心思开始一点一点向穿着外表上转移。我开始穿奇装异服、戴各种首饰。原本学习还不错的我，上课开始走神，作业不认真完成，考卷上红叉连篇。老师发现了我的问题，她开始找我谈话，一次不行两次，两次不行三次。就这样原本有叛逆心理的我，被老师打动，重新将精力花在学习上，到最后考试时考出了不错的成绩。

记得班里有些同学上课走神，考试发挥失常，每一次张老师都不会像其他的老师一样上来就劈头盖脸的训斥一顿，而是关心的询问是家里出了什么事还是有什么不懂的地方。她的温暖能让坚冰融化。当发现我们的不足后，她也会帮助我们改正错误，重新做回自己。

张老师不光会将我们的错误改正，她还会在我们生病时给予我们关怀和照顾。一次在学校快放学时，突然下起大雨，这场雨来的毫无防备，许多离家远的同学都没有带雨伞，张老师回家把自己家里所有的雨伞，雨衣都拿来借给同学，还不够的她就打电话通知家长来接。直到把我们全都安顿好，回家的路上不会被雨淋她才放心。而她放学后冒雨跑回家，什么都没说。

这就是我身边的好老师，她对我们做的超过了一个老师应该做的范围。毫不夸张地说，她就是我们的第二个妈妈。有了她，我们就有了温暖，就有了一种回到家的感觉。在这里我想真诚的对她说一句：“谢谢您!”

在你教我们的时候我们开始听你说，关于你和你教的一届又一届学生的故事。时间已经过去了一年了，不知道那一件事情你是否还记得。

记得你和我们说过，你错怪你的某一届学生的故事。那么当你再想起关于一个任同学时，你是否也会和你的学生们说，你错怪了他。虽然我从来没有怪过你，但是受到自己尊敬的老师的批评心里是会很难受的。上你的课我一向很认真的，怎么会不按你的要求完成作业了。

那是一个炎热的下午，您对着全班同学生气地说：今天，任寒沁同学没有按照我的要求去做课堂作业，下课后重做……!”顿时，我的脑袋“嗡”地一声，脸红到了耳根，脸上火辣辣的，心想：“我一直是按要求做的，这次怎么会……”这时，我发现同学们正用惊奇的目光看着我，好像在说：任寒沁，你可真大胆，竟敢不听老师的话!”我心里像打翻了五味瓶，很不是滋味。

作业本发下来了，我急不可待地打开一看，唉!没什么不对呀，再和同桌校对了一遍也完全一样，是不是沈老师搞错了?我正想马上到沈老师那儿去弄个明白，但又觉得不妥，我呆呆地站在课桌前，任凭那委屈的泪水哗哗地流。沈老师我冤枉啊，您不可以这样批评我的!

沈老师，您是我们的好老师，总是处处关心、爱护着我们，但有的时候您要注意一下教育方法。

尊敬的校长：

您好!

转眼之间，我已经在小学度过了五年的美好时光。作为一个快要毕业的学生，出于对母校的热爱，也为了让学校更受学生和家长的欢迎。我向您提一点建议：

我希望我们学校能多组织几次春游。我认为春游对我们是有好处的。春天是一个生机盎然的季节。春天里百花盛开，姹紫嫣红。在春天里，让老师带领着我们去戚城公园或绿色庄园，去呼吸新鲜的气息，感受生命的伟大。

走进大自然，我们可以放松心情，不用再整天为学习而头痛了;走进大自然，我们可以感受春天的气息，可以感受万物复苏，万象更新的快乐。看到大自然的勃勃生机，我们会更加的珍爱生命，热爱生活!

还记得上次的春游，我和我们班的同学们去了戚城公园。到那儿后，我们举行了一个关于‘歌颂春天’的活动。大家被分成几组。有的组是以吟诗的形式歌颂春天;有的组以唱歌的形式歌颂春天;有的组以朗诵的形式来歌颂春天。我们组说关于春天的句子。因为我们事前没有准备，但是在这样的环境里，大家心情很放松，一下子来了灵感。大家积极参与，踊跃发言，远远超出了我们的想象。

我想您不让我们去的原因可能是：担心我们的安全问题，怕我们出事吧!作为一校之长，您承担着全校师生的安全责任。您可以听听我的方案：首先，每个班可以安排两位带队老师。然后，再选出几个负责人的同学协助老师管理。最后，让那些不听话的同学，让老师重点看护。我们还可以发动一些家长，让家长积极的参与到我们的活动中来，帮助我们。我想这样就不会再有安全隐患了。以上所说，就是我的建议，望校长能够考虑采纳。
