Seeing mywhole education history, I have many teachers. But my favorite teacher is onlyone. He is Mr Lu. He is my middle Chinese teacher and head teacher. He is aboutfifty years old. Maybe he works too hard, so his back is a little bent.

The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the lunar Chinese calendar. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month and 8 is pronounced as "ba" in Chinese, which translated is "Laba." There are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. It was also a time for the ancient Chinese to pray to heaven and earth that there would be a bountiful harvest. Many people hoped for good luck as well for the coming year.

农历十二月初八是中国的传统节日——腊八节，腊代表中国农历的十二月，而八是eight的发音，因此，这个节日被翻译成腊八。关于腊八起源的传说有很多，我们已经不能辨其真假。时至今日，我们确定的是这个节日起初是为了祭祀祖先，祈求丰收以及为即将来到的一年祈福。

Traditionally, the Laba rice porridge is the most important element of the festival. Generally, the porridge contains eight ingredients which can include glutinous rice, red beans, millet, Chinese sorghum, peas, dried lotus seeds and some other ingredients, such as dried dates, chestnut meat, walnut meat, almond, peanut, etc. The porridge must be boiled for many hours and then offered as a sacrifice to the ancestors. This must be done before noontime. Also, it is tradition that family members eat the porridge together. Then they leave some as a symbol of hope for a good harvest the coming year.

Another custom is the soaking of Laba garlic. Garlic is soaked in vinegar for more than twenty days starting from Laba festival. Then when the Chinese New Year comes, the garlic and vinegar is used alongside jiaozi on the table.

You always arrive at the classroom ahead of any of the students, from which we could imply that you are a diligent man with regular habit. Before the class, you like to talk to us, at this very time, you are more a friend than a teacher. To be honest, I was surprised in the first class when I learned a teacher at your age could speak English in such a fluent way.(I didnt mean you are old, youre young at heart.) Ive got some suggestions for you. It seems that we students have got few chances to participate in discussion during the class time. Most of the time, we are listening. Seldom did we express our own ideas. I suggest that teachers should interact with students more frequently in the class. Besides, Id like to practice writing more, so would you please leave us more assignments?

Once, I talked to the foreign people, he was staring at me all the time,

which made me feel not comfortable, so I chose to avoid his eyes and kept a

little distance from him. When I talked about this problem to my foreign

teacher, she told me that it was natural for them to look at you during

communication, which meant respect. While in China, people do the opposite

thing. They try to avoid eye-contact, because it is not eased to look at each

other. The different culture sometimes creates distance. The foreigners always

feel strange when they look at Chinese people’s eyes and every time when they

want to come closer to hear more clearly, Chinese people will walk away. So the

more we learn about the culture, the more we know about the world.

When I learned English, I felt so hard, because no matter hard I tried, I

just could not understand the grammar. One day, my sister asked me why was I so

confused with English, I told her I did not know, I was so afraid of it. Then

she asked me to watch English movie and listened to the English songs.

At first, I fell in love with these songs, I learned to sing them, I found

I could remember more and more words. I also felt very interested in the movie,

I could learn the local words. With interest, I make great progress, I am not

afraid of English any more. Interest is the best teacher.

I enjoy singing very much. While singing, my heart as well as my body is

joyful. When Im happy, I often sing out to share my happiness with others. I

also sing out to pour out my bad feelings when Im upset.

I like pop music most, because I want to follow the trend. I prefer soft

music to rock music. Since we may be very tired after a long days work, we need

a rest very much. Perhaps soft music is the best recreation for us. My favorite

pop stars are JJ and Jay Chou. They always make a wonderful performance on the

stage. Their songs are so charming. I admire them very much.

In my spare time, I often sing a song to others. Everyone is so happy to be

my listener, because Im very brave and confident. Even though I couldnt be a

professional singer, I can still get a lot of good fun from singing. Because of

Last week, my friend asked me to go to visit his hometown with him. I felt so excited and wanted to have a look at the scenery. My parents allowed and I planned to play for a week. I felt so free to leave home and could do what I wanted. I picked up the fruits and caught the fish in the clear river. It was such fun for me. But when I saw my friend talked happily to his grandparents, I felt a little lost. I started to miss my parents. I missed the food my mother cooked and the way she complained. different opinions about it.

Some students agree with the idea. They think, if so, they wont feel

lonely and there will always be someone to play with. Besides, if their parents

get older or ill, they can take turn to look after them. However, some students

disagree. They worry that they will get less love from their parents if another

child comes to the family. Whats worse, they may not get along well, or even

我知道自己闯了祸，像一个犯了错的罪人一样顿时立在自己的座位旁边不敢出声。还好老师给我面子，没当着全班同学的面数落我，让我和同桌跟着他去办公室谈，他让我写份检讨拿给他，可当我第二他拿给他检讨的时候他看也没看一眼，告诉我说下不为例，果真是宰相肚里能撑船，多么随和的一个人，他大人不记，我这个小人自然就好过了。

严肃下的慈祥，幽默下的认真，构成了一个传奇般的人物——张明清老师。在漫长的学习生涯中，英语老师的几件事令我难以忘怀。

Its winter vacation. I went to Grandpas house with my mother and sister for

the new year.

Pay New Years call people are hurrying to and fro. Novel coronavirus will

buddy this year. In order to prevent the virus, I can only stay at home

obediently. Although I cant go out, I can listen to my grandfathers stories at

home, and listen to his stories about the interesting things that happened when

I was a child, so that I can understand that I should cherish my life now and
