So my friend has asked me to write to you... I have to confess its been

hard to know what to say. Mainly because like most adults I feel preposterous

asking anything of you because our time with you is surely done. Now we get our

own presents, control our own fates, take responsibility for our own actions,

and live in the world we have created... so its not for us to turn around and

plead for your help with the environment, the migrant crisis, the NHS,

education, food banks, human rights, fundamentalism and wars. Though God knows

we need all the help we can get with all these man-made problems and more.

And its not that you arent compassionate and full of joy. Youre great.

In spite of you being changed into different colours for corporations and being

bastardised to represent materialism gone mad - despite probably originating in

some season based pagan druid ritual a million thought miles from requests for

spontaneously combusting hoverboards... Kidadults cynically pointing this out

after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyones precious time.

Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some

magic in a world where the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful

imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking.

This is what Id like to ask you to help with. A little more time for

children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract

them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their

breath rather than sob with their tears. Especially those caring for family

members, or suffering illness, hunger or poverty. Especially those hiding in

buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a

boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their

worlds with a moment of joy and hope.

When I think about it youve got it tough this year... And when I really

think about it Im not sure that asking you for a lightsaber and getting one

(not that I ever did by the way) is equatable with controlling the space time

continuum and making the good of childhood last a little longer.

But you do inspire wonder and awe amongst those that write you letters and

go to sleep hoping there might be a new object in their possession come dawn.

You inspire good behaviour and, at least in my memory, some desperate last

minute attempts to redeem bad behaviour so as not to be overlooked. Spare a

thought too for those millions who want to write to you but through illiteracy

cant. Hear their words and help to give them the time and chance to learn how

to read and write so they can better their lives and escape their impoverished

beginnings.

I feel a little sorry for you. And I guess Ive done exactly what I said I

wouldnt... Asked you to help with adult problems and solve some of the greatest

worries we have for our children. I promise to leave some extra port and mince

pies for you!

To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. In our daily life, we often leave the tap on after cleaning hands. Sometimes we often drop litter in the river. So the water was polluted by us. I think we could use a bottle of water two or three times. We have to turn off the tap after cleaning hands.

Not until I arrived at home after watching the movie ”Peddington Bear” with my family when a feeling of warmth and strength suddenly came to me. It’s about love, it’s about family.

The plot of the movie is really simple, even predictable and a little bit cliche. However, it’s so rare for me to meet such a snug film. Maybe there’s some resonance between the core topic ---- family and myself, or, it’s just relaxing and touching, depending on how you look at it.

We did not compete today, just watching the movie "Lu Xun", the film was compiled by Pu Cunxi and Zhang Yu. This documentary is about three years before the death of Mr. Lu Xuns story, tells the story of Mr. Lu Xun pen and struggle for the revolution that ningsibuqu great patriotic spirit. After seeing this film, I feel very deep. I think we should all learn from him. Maybe we cant do his kind of big, but we should all be at least a patriotic young pioneers. We are the future of our motherland, and we should try our best to win glory for our motherland.

If ask me who my favorite teacher is, I will no doubt answer you that Miss Hou is my favorite teacher. She is an English teacher, she is kind to everyone, she is not like other teachers who are so strict to students. As Miss Hou is so popular among students, students learn English with high enthusiasm, that is what they return to her. Miss Hou is a good teacher.

I remember the first time I see Miss Hou, she walks in class, and then talks with students about small things. She doesn’t talk about English in the first class, everyone feels Miss Hou is so amiable, we like her so much. Miss Hou is good at teaching us, she explain the question very patiently, when we understand, she will be move to the next topic, Miss Hou is a good teacher.

Welcome to my hometown!Shanghai is my hometown.It is a modern and busy town.It has a long history.There are many big supermarkets,beautiful gardens and good factories here.It is very easy to go shopping.You can see big trees and nice flowers.There are many restaurants in Shanghai.The food tastes very delicious.You can enjoy eyery minutes of it.Many visitors come here to enjoy it.

Sky in my hometown 家乡的天空

When I was very young ,the sky in my hometown was nice and beautiful, the sky was very blue,and the air was fresh. There were some birds singing ,and there were many trees in the fields. I often played with my friends in the open air.I liked it.

Now the people are rich ,but the sky in my homerown isnt blue .the trees were cut down , and there arent many birds. And the air isnt fresher than before. The rubbish is put here and there, it was bad for our health.So wo must do something to protect the environment. If we make a contribution to protecting the environment,the sky will become much more beautiful.

I’m writing to ask you to excuse me for not being able to keep our

appointment. I do know that this is very impolite and must have caused you much

trouble.

I do reckon that at present any explanation is pale and futile. However I

do not want you to misunderstand me. On my way to your office, an old lady

suddenly fainted due to heart attack on the bus. I stopped a taxi and sent her

into a nearby hospital. I stayed there until her came, which spoiled our

appointment.
