On one occasion, I borrowed a smiling cat series of the book the black in the afternoon, I watched with relish, when I saw the earthquake comes, laughing cat a lost, my tears fell like pearls, mother urging me to go to bed at this moment, but I still dont mean to leave, sitting eyes still staring at the book, the results make mother angry, very very batch of my meal, cant, so I closed the book reluctantly go to sleep.

高尔基说过，书籍是人类进步的阶梯，我很喜欢这句格言，因为我也很爱看书。

从我上二年级开始，妈妈就为我在县图书馆办了一张借书卡，我每星期都会去借两本书，每天一放学我就冲到房间，迅速地拿出书看起来，一看书，我就一动不动的，不管妈妈怎样叫我，我只是随口的答应一句，直到时把整本书看完，才去做别的事，为此妈妈经常说我有了书就不要吃不要睡了。

三年级时，我迷上了《笑猫日记》，每次去图书馆，我都要借，因为这套书里的主人公笑猫经历的事深深吸引着我，它的悲欢离合都会令我牵肠挂肚。

有一次，我借了笑猫系列的《那个黑色的下午》这本书，我津津有味的看着，当我看到大地震来临时笑猫一家失散的情景，我泪落如珠，这时妈妈催我睡觉了，可是我依然坐着没有离开的意思，眼睛还是目不转睛地盯着书，结果把妈妈弄生气了，很很地批了我一顿，没办法，我只好依依不舍地合上书去睡觉。

瞧，我就是这样爱看书，我爱与书作伴，做个快乐的读书人。

莎士比亚曾经说过：“书籍是全世界的营养品。生活里没有书籍，就好像没有阳光;智慧里没有书籍，就好像鸟儿没有翅膀。”说明读书对我们有多么重要啊!

我很小的时候，妈妈就给我买来很多书，从最初的图画书到带拼音字母的童话书，再到现在的很厚的名著，我被书中的故事和知识深深的吸引，以至于变成了现在同学口中的“书虫”“书呆子”，我并不觉得这绰号不好，反而以此为荣。有一次语文课上，蒋老师讲到一个历史人物，问同学们“有谁知道的吗?”我自豪地举起手，讲出了这个历史人物的典故，老师和同学都非常惊讶。我说：“没什么啊，我在书里面早就看过了。”同学们都用近似崇拜的眼神看着我，老师也对我投来赞许的目光并对我说：“你这个读书的习惯真好。”读书使我尝到了甜头：作文不再象流水账了，歇后语大寒得了一等奖，最近古诗文大赛得了二等奖……妈妈说：“怎么没见你学多少古文，这些古文你怎么就能看懂了呢，真是不可思议。”说得我还真得意呢。我想，这应该都是读书多的好处吧。读书不会一下子使人变得渊博，博学是要“厚积薄发”，现在，我对书的痴迷已经到了无法自拔的地步，一有空就去看，看完一本又一本，不过，经常看过一段时间会忘，我决定以后要温故知新，提高读书的质量。

书籍是培植智慧的工具。同学们，都来读书吧，读书真好。

First of all, competition brings about progress in business world. To be more specific, a company will make its product better than others so that it can gain more profit that others. In this case, the product will be better and better as time goes by and the economy will be better as well. To the other hand, the progress of product is beneficial to consumers. That is also the reason why governments control  monopoly which will extinguish competition.

Additionally, the competition in an organisation is good for the organisation. Due to the emulation of individuals, everyone desire to be better than others. Under the competition, every one will fulfil their potential and the organisation will maximise its human resource to achieve its goal.

In conclusion, competition is good for not just individuals but also the entire society. Accompanied with competition, the world will be better.

World Book Day comes from this. I like reading very much. Sometimes, I think they are around me. They are my classmates or my friends.Therefore, these stories are also my own stories.And, his books also teach me to be a good kid.

我很喜欢读书，童话故事是我最喜欢的比如说格林童话，安徒生童话等等。但是我最喜欢的是郑渊洁童话，比如说《舒克和贝塔》还有很多其他书本。他的童话故事里的角色十分有趣，有时候我会觉得他们就在我身边，他们是我的同学或者朋友。因此，这些故事也是我的故事。另外，他的书也教我成为一个好孩子。
