小兔子给我家添加几分乐趣，我非常喜欢它。我真希望：每个人都关心爱护动物，因为动物是人类的好朋友。

狗是人类最忠实的朋友。“牧羊犬三千里寻主”、“忠犬八公”、“义犬救主”等感人的故事常常被人称道。

然而，在中国的文化里，狗的地位却是那么卑微。在汉语中，狗往往与贬斥有关，诸如“猪狗不如”、“狼心狗肺”、“狗仗人势”、“狗嘴吐不出象牙”、“狗腿子”等等。

在现实生活中，狗也没有得到应有的尊重，几乎每天都有一些虐狗的事情发生。若狗狗生病了，主人就会把它们抛弃。更有甚者，会把流浪狗的嘴巴用胶带绑住，不让它们进食，直到饿得它们瘦骨嶙峋或奄奄一息。

去年冬天，我去家住西山的大姨家玩，亲眼看到有人为了享受美味，就把猎来的狗用绳子勒住脖子吊起来，然后不停的灌水，随后剥皮，开膛……就这样，一个鲜活的生命在痛苦和绝望地挣扎后结束了生命。至今，那个场面依然在我脑海挥之不去。

我恨这些刽子手，气自己不够强大，也救不了狗狗弱小的生命。但我知道，狗是人类的好朋友，它不会通过贫贱或富贵去选择主人，它的忠诚更是与生俱来。它能帮我们看家护院，它能带给人们无限快乐，甚至它还能为盲人带路，帮警察缉毒，为战士排雷……

狗为人类做出的贡献可谓数不胜数。所以，我呼吁大家：狗也有尊严，更有情感。你对它一时的好，能换来它一生的回报！

My Pet

I have a pet. I named him Nicholas. Nicholas is a pure Husky dog. He was about 8 weeks when he first came to my home. We will have his birthday next week and he is turning 2 years old. Good time goes fast. Hes totally mature now but somehow I just refuse to admit it. In my eyes, no matter how big the size he is, hes just my adorable puppy. Owning a dog is a huge responsibility. I spent a lot of time house-trainning him. Youd have to be patient, compassionate, and consistent. Fortunately, Nicholas is a fast learner. Now he knows exactly where to go potty, what time to eat, and how to play. He used to be too energetic and he liked biting. But now, as hes growing up, hes gentle and obedient. On week days, I take him to parks. I toss out his toy and he goes and get it. He loves this game. Nicholas brings me lots of fun and Im proud of being his owner.

我曾经听到过这样一句话：“每一个生命都有一段故事，每一个生命都是一个不朽的传奇。”或许你会说：“有谁在意过一只小小的蚂蚁?它虽有生命，但不值一提。”如果你这样想就错了，每一个生命来到这个世界上都不容易，所以，请尊重每一个生命。

10月5日下午，我跟着德州晚报的小记者去德州人民公园里的动物园去看那些大自然的精灵——动物们。一进门就看到一只大灰狼，懒懒地趴在笼子里的地上。老师说：“它是狗的近亲。”嘿，长得还真像一只大狗。它对我们的到来一点儿也不感兴趣，眯着双眼理都不理。别看它现在老实，可是我知道，在草原上可是连豹子都不敢轻易招惹它的，威风得很呢。继续往前走，我们还看到了高大的双峰驼、笨重的黑熊、健壮的果下马、美丽的孔雀、凶猛的老虎、强壮的狮子。小时候，我走到这里就不敢走了，跟个老鼠似的躲在爸爸怀里，不敢抬头。现在想起来还挺不好意思呢。一会儿就来到了我最喜欢的猴山，里面有好多猴子，你追我跑，爬上爬下，一个个玩得兴高采烈，猴王高高地坐在山顶，傲然地看着它的子民，还真有大王的样子呢。我们都哈哈地笑了起来。

出了动物园，我们又去了旁边的趣味园。这是让游人和动物们亲密接触的地方，人们在这里可以亲手喂动物吃东西，还能轻轻地抚摸它们呢。

这次参观动物园我有了深深地感触：动物们也是地球大家庭中的一员，它们和我们一样也有生存的权利，它们是我们的朋友，是我们的邻居。我们应该去了解它们，爱护它们。这样我们的地球才能健康、美好，才能更加丰富多彩!

动物与我们人类一样，有思想，有感情，也有它们自己的生活方式，更有自由权。

there is only so much land on the earth, and so what we can do with it is limited. some people believe that human needs for farmland, housing and industry should come first, while others believe that some land should be set aside for endangered animals. i am of the opinion that we should reserve some land for the worlds animals for the following reasons.

first, mankinds need for land is constantly growing. if the demand is not checked in some way, humans will eventually develop all of the earths available land. at that time, mankind will have no more room to grow, and all the wild animals will have disappeared, as well as other valuable resources. second, humans are able to innovate and can use the land that they already possess in more efficient ways. animals are unable to do this. once their land is taken away from them they will die. third and last, endangered animals are an important part of the biodiversity of our planet. if they disappear, we cannot predict what the effect will be. therefore, we should treat such animals as a valuable resource to be protected.

to sum up, the worlds endangered animals are an important resource and we should protect them by setting aside some land for them. although mankinds need for land continues to grow, people are intelligent and inventive enough to put the land they have to better use. in this way, we can have enough land for farming, housing and industry, and preserve the biodiversity of the planet at the same time.

下午，我和爸爸去看小鸭子，看见一只鸭子肚子朝上，翅膀和脚在抖动，它叫的声音很大，好像在哭一样。爸爸把小鸭子扶起来，小鸭子又倒了。我突然想起来我把小鸭子扔进箱子里的事，呀!我是杀人凶手呀!我哭了。小鸭子最后死了，我很伤心。

从那时起，我就开始爱护小动物了。
