我的寒假

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 o’clock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 o’clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.

寒假期间，我的生活没有什么不同的。我每天十一点醒来，洗完碗后，与我的父母吃丰盛的午餐。之后我玩电脑游戏，玩到吃晚饭的时候。晚餐后。我继续玩游戏玩到凌晨两点，然后去睡觉了。这就是寒假我暗淡无光的一天生活。

But I haven’t bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I listen to the music or the radio in the bed，because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. And I also meet some of my good friends during the vacation ,we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether .And I watched the spring festival party of the CCTV in the last seconds of the 2011 year! I think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

但我不是所有的时间都是那么的无趣。有时候我读书，有时我听音乐或在床上听收音机，因为外面很冷而且一整天都在下雪。寒假的时候我也会跟我一些好朋友见面，我们会聊各自在过去一年里的生活，一起打乒乓球。我会在2011年的最后一秒钟看中央电视台春节联欢晚会!我认为这是中国的大多数人会做的事情。

The first thing I did was I made a plan for my study. I assigned my

homework equally according to the holidays so that I can finish all of them in

time. And during my winter vacation, we welcome the most important festival in

China—Spring Festival, it’s also called Chinese New Year by lots of

foreigners.

At that night, our family came together and had a big meal. Of course we

had dumplings that night, because that is our Chinese traditional. We then watch

the CCTV spring festival evening party together and watch the beautiful

fireworks. That’s the happiest time in this world! The winter vacation I had

dreamed all year around was finally coming. And I really enjoyed a lot from

it.

The first thing I did was I made a plan for my study. I assigned my

homework equally according to the holidays so that I can finish all of them in

time. I also arranged myself the books and words I need to read and recite.

Secondly, I took some extracurricular activities and read some English original

reading. My favorite book is , written by Sherlock Holmes. Among all the

classical movies, the Sound of Music was the most exciting one. During my

holidays I also made some assistance for my physical class teacher, surely I met

lots of difficulties in this stage and from which I knew what perseverance

really was. Lastly, I went to the temple fair and was lucky to taste several

Chinese traditional dishes; “Jiaohua chicken” is one of them. It is said it

originated from Hangzhou centuries ago, made by a famous beggar Hong Qi Gong,

the senior leader of Beggar Gang.Steamed with fresh lotus leaf wrapped up,it is

famous for its special aroma and taste. Now that the holiday is ending and a new

semester is coming, I need to fresh up and get started to embrace the upcoming

challenges.

Low Carbon Lifestyle

With the development of economy,the pollution of our environmentbecome more and more serious.Now more and more people get to know its important to protect our living environment.So low carbon lifestyle is become popular.

It is of great importance for the whole world to practice the low-carbon lifestyle.Firstly, our natural resources and energy are limited; therefore, it isabsolutely necessary for us to save and protect them. Secondly, inorder to protect our environment from serious greenhouse effect, weneed a low-carbon emission. It is low-carbon life that enables our nextgenerations to live a better and superior life.

Here are some useful suggestions to live a low-carbon life. Firstly, everyone is expected to cultivate theirawareness of saving energy. Secondly,we can use fewer plastic bags to reduce white pollution.we also can plant more trees to fresh the air.Then, we are also hoped to help ourfamilies and friends to live a low-carbon life. If everyone takes action,our environment will be better and better.Our world will be more colorful and beautiful.

我的外公生活在风景秀丽的乡村。星期天，我难得去外公家，从外公家的房前屋后走过，总会看见一只老母鸡率领着一群毛绒绒的小鸡，或是一直耸着尾巴的大公鸡，大踏步的走来走去。 我外公屋前指着瓜架，种着红的瓜，绿的瓜，瓜架右边还种着一些西瓜。外公的瓜架左边种着许多花，有芍药，鸡冠花，大丽菊，牡丹等。他们依着时令，顺序开放。四季都五彩缤纷。

我外公的屋子建在一片高地上，下面自然少不了一个池塘，池塘边上绿树成阴，鲜花簇簇，有老鸭带着可爱的小鸭在水中游戏，还不是地把头扎到水里去觅食，当头重新露出水面时嘴里就会含着一条活蹦乱跳的小鱼。

外公的屋后是一片葱郁的竹林，里面的竹子个个如碗口粗，每当春雨过后就会看到鲜嫩的竹笋成群结队的从土里冒出来。

我在外公那里有个好友，外号叫靖靖，我们经常在河边钓鱼，有时鱼太大了，就下河捉。靖靖的捉鱼本事可大了，他两根手指就把鱼给捉住了，可我大半天连一个小鱼都捉不到。靖靖真令我佩服。 作文

Nowadays,owing to the convenience of transport ,more and more people feel like emigrating to foreign countries.Although it may be exciting to drop your family in a totally unfamiliar place,subsequently the problem appears.Which kind of people in the neighborhood do you long for ,the different race or the same? For me,I prefer the latter.The reasons are as follows.

Firstly,there is no doubt that most of the people tend to spend almost entire life in just one familiar city.They know every street,every corner and every store.If they have something repaired,they know the right place to go.But now,everything changes in the new place.So it is hard for emigrants to adjust in physiology and psychology.What is worse,there is even no friends who can provide enough support.In this situation,naturally the instinct drives them to live with others of their own ethnic background.Because the same race always means similar diet,similar language and habit.Under the circumstances,emigrants are able to adapt to the new environment easily.Otherwise,the conflict resulting from the complete contrast certainly arises.It results in the bad influence on the quality of life.That is what we do not want to confront.Why do we desire to emigrate? We just expect to lead a better life.

Secondly,the emigrants always go with the whole family including the elder.As we all know,after retirement,it is usually that the aged chat with each other about things in the past.For them,talking about trivialities is an essential and necessary way to enjoy themselves.However,assuming that persons around them are different ethnic in the new community,how can our parents or grandparents communicate with neighbors.After all,in accordance with the statistics,over seventy percent of the elder cannot speak foreign language especially in Asia.In addition,the fact that the majority of emigrants coming from Asia is well-known.Therefore,how to help the aged avoid loneliness is a serious problem which should be solved in time.I reckon that the best way is to live with people of the same race.Thus all old men benefit from the familiar language.Or,if they have nothing to do but to stay at home all the day,the harmony of the family will be affected sooner or later.

All in all,in my opinion,the more familiar,the better.So emigrants ought to live with others of their own ethnic background.

比起城市的热闹繁华，我更喜欢乡村那恬静悠闲的美，以及简单的怡然自得。

有一次，叔叔邀请我们去摘芒果。来到芒果园，一大片黄澄澄的芒果，芒果果肉饱满、青翠欲滴。我看到如此多的芒果，便挽起袖子，开始摘低处的芒果。我踮起脚尖，挺直腰板，伸出手，摘到我的第一个芒果。过了一会儿，我已经摘了十几个芒果了。摘完低处的芒果，我抬头望向高处，心想：高一点的芒果树上的芒果，一定更加酸甜可口。所以，我用铁钩“围攻”芒果帝国的高地，但是它们好像在跟我反抗似的，结果我摔了个四脚朝天。第二次，我想：直接跳上去抓住树枝，再剪下芒果。结果刚跳上去，又失败了。我丝毫不灰心。第三次，我用铁钩把树枝卷住了，然后把芒果用力拉下来，结果“咚”的一声，芒果掉了下来。我开心地把我的“战利品”拿起来，手舞足蹈地拿给伙伴们看。结果看到他们摆着奇怪的姿势，他们有的比较矮，摘不到芒果，在树下急得团团转；有的直接爬到树上摘芒果；还有的被芒果砸到头。

眼看已经摘了一筐的芒果，我们满载而归地回家品尝香甜可口的芒果。

我喜欢热闹繁华的城市，更喜欢宁静悠闲的乡村。直至别离，我还恋恋不舍。乡村之趣无处不在。

Yesterday, after a long meeting in the class, all the students had been told about the safe issues, then the summer vacation finally came. All of us felt so happy and liked a free bird, rushing to home quickly. I had been looking forward to this holiday for such a long time, I really needed to take some rest after studying for a semester. I have made some plans for my summer vacation. 到了那里之后的第一感受是那清新的空气，宛如“醒神剂”一般，把我的大脑疏通了一遍，往日的沉重的脑袋顿时清净了很多。

外公热情地款待了我们。外公在自家西边的地里种了不少东西，有白菜、香菜、芹菜、丝瓜……外公不仅种蔬菜，还养鸡，养鸭，养狗。门前有一条小河，小鸭经常下河游泳，享受属于它们自己的快乐。河水很清澈，天气好的时候河面上波光粼粼，好像金子一样在阳光下闪闪发光。走进细看，河里有很多的小鱼，在水草间做游戏。一有时间我就坐在河边的草地上钓鱼。河的对岸还有十几棵杨柳树，它们总是在微风中向我轻轻地招手，似乎想和我聊聊天。有空的时候我总喜欢去那儿散散步，在草地上躺一会儿或坐一会儿，看看天上自由自在的白云，有时还美美地小睡一觉。

The Difference Between City Life and CouMany years ago, before Chinagot developed, people dreamed to live in the city, because the life in city was colorful, everyone was chasing for the prosperity, the attracting thing for the city life lies in that people will find the chance to get succeed. Now,Chinahas been developing, the citizens start to chase the country life, they like the quiet environment, the air is much fresh. City life and country life, which is better? City life is convenient, people can buy what they want, while the country life is quiet and peaceful, I think the old prefer the country life, the young prefer the city life. People in different stage will chase for different life, that makes the difference.

很多年前，在中国发展以前，人们梦想着过上城市的生活，因为城市的生活多姿多彩，大家都追求繁荣，城市生活吸引人的地方在于人们可以找到成功的机会。现在，中国正在发展中，城市居民开始追求乡村生活，他们喜欢安静的环境，空气也很清新。

我来到外婆家的院子里。哇!太棒了，外婆家种了一棵胡柚树，这胡柚树长得老高了，比外婆家的复式楼还高。这棵柚子树旁边还有一个大鸡窝，鸡窝里铺着旧稻草。此刻，一只母鸡正蹲在稻草上憋红了脸“咕咕咕”的下着蛋。站在楼上，放眼望去，四周一片绿色，好似给田野铺上了一层绿毯。

吃完午饭，我提着一个小篮子，里面放一块布，再带上帽子，瞬间变成了一个小村姑。然后提着篮子跟外婆去菜园，外婆的菜园子里的菜可真丰富啊：有水灵灵的青菜、外婆对我说：“这青菜一点儿农药也没打，很绿色的。又大又红的西红柿，像一个个小灯笼，小黄瓜粗的跟我的小胳膊似的。菜园子里还有一大片蒲公英，我轻轻地采一朵下来，再轻轻一吹，可爱的蒲公英宝贝就离开了母亲，飞向了远方。

我吹了一朵有一朵，天边飞起一大片白花。等我玩够了，我这个小村姑就开始干活了。我先去摘玉米，这玉米长在玉米杆上，我掰啊掰啊，我使出平生最大的力气往后拉，可我还没把玉米拉下来。我只好先剥玉米叶，再用力一 掰，终于掰了下来。我把沉甸甸的玉米放在篮子里，我感到好有成就感。随后，我又摘了好多…… 摘完菜，我和外婆提着沉甸甸的篮子回家了。

晚上，我们吃了自己下午摘的玉米和青菜，平时觉得味道一般的菜，这次却觉得特别好吃，格外的香甜，外婆还杀了一只鸡，那香喷喷的鸡肉让我怎么吃都吃不够。

乡村生活真好啊!想着国庆就要到来，我的心又飞到了外婆家!
