我们聚在一起，吃年夜饭，吃年夜饭怎么能没有饺子呢？在我们的桌子上，放着满满的两盘的饺子，饺子里有的包着枣，有的包着钱、糖、花生等。我开始仔细地挑选饺子，吃了一大盘，还是没有吃到，我吃最后一个的时候，忽然感觉这个饺子里有东西，哈哈！是一个枣！吃完年夜饭，我和哥哥姐姐去放烟花，但在这时候，爸爸把我拉了回去，他说春节的背后还隐藏着一个秘密……很久很久以前，有一个叫做“年”的巨兽，它长着龙的头，鳄鱼的身体，在深海里。每当春节的时候，它就会爬上岸来吃人，所以人们一直都很讨厌春节。春节又到了，人们纷纷上山，忽然有一个乞讨的老人出现在人群中。他想要点儿饭，可人们都不理他，眼看人们从老人的视线里消失，老人的心里有点儿失落，有一个老奶奶和她的孙子住在一个小木屋里，因为她走不动，只能在小木屋里，这时小孙子看见了老人，说：“老爷爷，我家里有吃剩的水饺，您要吗？”老人心里立刻乐开了花。老人知道“年”要来，对老奶奶说：“你们不用担心，您帮我再做一盘饺子，我就能对付它。”老人拿出两张红布，又拿出一个火炬，站在外面，等着“年”来。“年”上岸来吃人了，老人大叫道：“’年’啊，我正等着你哩！”说完，老人拿着火炬在“年”面前跑来跑去，老奶奶剁饺子馅儿越来越大声，年立刻躲到了海里。后来，人们知道年害怕的是吵闹声和红色，就有了穿新衣、放鞭炮、贴春联这些习俗。

听完故事后，我听入迷了。过了好一会儿，我才回过神来，这时，外面传来了“噼里啪啦”的声音，原来是烟花，美丽的像孔雀开屏。

这个春节，我高兴得一跳三尺高，真难忘啊！

寒假里，我度过了一个快乐难忘的春节。

腊月二十八日一大早，我和爸爸一起贴春联。我把“福”字端端正正地按在大门上，正要用胶布粘上，爸爸说：“要把‘福’字倒过来贴。”倒过来贴？我有点迷惑不解。哦，我想起来了，以前妈妈说过，因为“倒”和“到”谐音，所以人们把“福”字倒过来贴了，也就意味着“福到家了”。我赶紧把“福”字倒过来贴好。接着，我们把横批和上下联都贴好了。据说，贴春联可以辟邪，还可以增添喜庆气氛。

除夕夜晚，我们全家人一起静静地观看中央电视台的春节晚会。晚会的节目丰富多彩，时而逗得我们哈哈大笑。屋外接连不断的鞭炮声和烟花声，组成了一支迎接新年到来的交响曲。我迫不及待地盼着新年早点到来。终于，跨年的钟声敲响了，新的一年终于到来了！这时，屋外的鞭炮声和烟花声也更大了。我乐得一夜合不拢眼！

放鞭炮是过年的习俗之一，过年家家户户都要放鞭炮。在跨年的钟声敲响的同时，我和爸爸就把已经准备好的鞭炮拿了出来，准备出去放鞭炮。爸爸找了一块空地，把鞭炮长长的摆放在空地上。我把打火机递给了爸爸，爸爸一只手捂住了耳朵，另一只手拿着打火机，刚把鞭炮点燃，拿打火机的那只手迅速收了回来，捂住了另一只耳朵，同时赶快后退了几步。伴随着四处飞溅的火花，炸起了一阵“噼里啪啦”的爆响。响声震撼人心，即使我捂着耳朵也能听得很清楚。

转眼间到了新年初一中午，该吃午饭了。过年吃饺子也是一种习俗。中午，我和妈妈一起包饺子，我包的既没有妈妈的多，也没有妈妈的好，但我还是很快乐。饺子做好了。当我吃饺子时，闻到饺子里有股浓浓的年味。

短暂的一天很快就过去了。这个寒假里，我度过了一个快乐而又难忘的春节！

the lunar new year

the lunar new year is a great occasion to the chinese people. it lasts about the first four days of the year， during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. students do not go to school， and shops are closed.

several days before the new year， people begin to prepare. farmers kill pigs， sheep， cocks and hens. city dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables.  houses are cleaned； coupletsare posted on the doors. colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

on the eve of the new year， each family has its members gatherd together and eats a family reunion dinner. after the meal they watch tv until the clock strickes twelve. then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fire works to welcome the new year. on the first day of the new year， almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. when people meet on the way， they say to each other "happy new year". friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. children indulge themselves in games.
