As a student ，I don’t have any great event to talk about ，but here I want to share my experience of preparing for the high school entrance examination.

During the first three years of junior school ，we were very happy and free .But we often heard that Grade 4 would be a hell. After the final exam of Grade 3 in June， everything blew onto our faces : teachers’ changing ， harder and harder texts ， terrible pressure and of course the graduate exam .Where your position was on the listboard became the most important thing in our life .We had to study hard day and night ，always from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. the next day.

But I must say that it’s really an unforgettable memory in my life. Under the pressure we lived our life to the fullest， and enjoyed the true interesting things that we may have never cared before. Grade 4 in junior school was a turning point in my life. My attitude to learning， my world outlook and my philosophy of life all changed. I turned to be positive and strong. I also gained many people’s true & pure friendship， both teachers ’ and classmates’. In some way， I like that kind of life， as it taught me many things I’d never learned before.

Teachers also helped me a lot. I still can’t forget that my history teacher talked to me until 10:00 p.m. on April 30th， 2003， for my application. My head teacher also encouraged me， so did my Chinese teacher. I should say， all my teachers worked very hard and always neglected their sleep and meals. I like the winter holiday very much.

Though its very short,I can enjoy the Spring Festival.

I can watch cartoon every day.

I neednt go to school frepuently.

[关于描写春节的英语作文

我的家乡——山东临沂，有许多中国传统的民俗节日，尤其是在每年的年底和年初的时候。其中春节，是一年中最盛大、最隆重的传统节日。

每年一到腊月就开始进入春节倒计时，各种传统节日也陆续登场。腊月二十三，称作“小年”，大家都要团圆。这天晚上，家家户户都要“祭灶”，也就是祭奠“灶王爷”。传说灶王爷是玉皇大帝派往人间的，得罪不起，要恭而敬之的送他“上天言好事”，所以送他时人们常在他的嘴边涂一点芝麻糖，让他上天后在玉皇大帝面前说好话，一家人能够常年有饭吃。然后还要等他“回宫降吉祥”，大家在灶火旁边在贴上一张新的灶王爷的画像，这就是“换新灶”。

小年过后，家家都很忙碌。家家都忙着宰猪杀羊，蒸馒头，买或自己做新衣服，“请门神”，还有买年货等事情。这是小朋友们最喜欢的时候了，穿新衣戴新帽，还有很多好吃的和好玩的，基本上是一年中最快乐的时光了。每年的最后一天，叫做“腊月三十”，在那天，家家都炸丸子，炸耦盒，炸豆腐还有炖肉，这时家家都充满了食物的香味。到了晚上，也就是除夕夜，家家也都在包饺子，饺子象征着团圆。饺子馅也是各种各样的，有猪肉的，有羊肉的，有海鲜的，还有韭菜的……多达几十种。包好了，然后可以坐在家里看电视，也可以到外面去放鞭炮、玩耍，一直到十二点都不能睡觉，这叫做“守岁”。如果你听到外面鞭炮齐鸣，那么就是快十二点时，大家用鞭炮迎接新年的到来，这个时候人们也开始把饺子下了锅，等十二点钟声一响起时，就把饺子端上桌来，一家人就围着桌子吃饺子了。伴随着外面的鞭炮声和家家户户的笑语声，大家迎来的新的一年。

新年的第一天，人们都穿上了新衣服，鞭炮声仍然震耳欲聋。这一天，家家户户都出门去拜年，给红包，给大人们拜年。还有许多人去赶集，买一些吃的，喝的，玩的，还有各种小玩意儿，可热闹了!这一天，大街上可谓是万象更新啊!

元宵，是春节的最后一天，人们也称为“闹元宵”，这天，我们可以猜灯谜，还要吃元宵。吃完了元宵，那么代表年也过完了。

大年三十，我们到了安徽爷爷家过大年。一进小山庄，到处洋溢着过年的气氛，家家户户挂灯笼、贴春联，来迎接新年的到来。

“噼噼叭叭”，听见门外响起了一阵阵震耳欲聋的鞭炮声，爷爷一声响，“吃饭喽”，大家纷纷地围过来，全家十几口人，坐在两张八仙桌旁，享受着美酒佳肴，碰杯声、欢笑声、祝福声交织成和谐的新年交响乐，个个脸上露出了幸福的笑容。

吃过晚饭后，我和妹妹就嚷着要放烟花，爸爸拿出几个大筒烟花放在家门前放了起来。“啪”“啪”，一个个烟花像箭一样飞了上去。“哇！1、2、3…一共有６家在一起放。”我兴奋地叫了起来。顿时，烟花在天空中越来越多，五颜六色，令我目不暇接，一下子天空变得明亮起来了。那焰火好似一颗颗流星，从天而降；又似一只只萤火虫，照亮了美丽的除夕夜。接着，妹妹提议说：“我们来玩小孩子玩的烟花吧。”我点头表示同意。我们把它拿出来后，插在泥土里，叔叔说：“你们先别动，让我先玩给你们看，学会了再玩。”妹妹是个急性子，还没看完，就说“我会了，我会了”，她跑了过去，刚好，叔叔把烟花点燃了，呀，不好了，烟花不是向上飞，而是朝我妹妹的头上飞去，“啪”的一声在头上炸开了，我们赶紧跑过去看看有没有受伤，没有，倒是把她的头发烧焦了，我们“哈哈哈”地大笑，而妹妹却喊着：“讨厌！讨厌！”过年的感觉真好啊！真是一个令人难忘又快乐的的春节。最后，祝大家龙年吉祥，事事顺心！
