The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏，千门万户瞳瞳日，总把新桃换旧符。”在噼里啪啦的鞭炮声中，新一年开始了!我们即将欢度中华民族最隆重，最盛大的节日——春节!或许是因为喜欢放鞭炮才认为春节是自己最喜欢的节日。 "One year old in the sound of firecrackers, the spring breeze warm into Tu Su, thousands of household pupils, always change the new peaches."In the sound, the new year has begun! We are about to celebrate the most solemn and grand festival of the Chinese nation -the Spring Festival! Perhaps it is because we like to set off firecrackers to think that the Spring Festival is our favorite festival.

听爸爸妈妈说，那年春节我吵着要去烟火，他们就抱着我到广场观看烟花。我还记得当时人山人海。“嘣，啪!嘣，啪!烟花的声音连续不断，各种各样，五颜六色的烟火一个接着一个飞上天空。”像五彩缤纷的大伞。

还记得有一年，我和邻居家的几个小孩一起到河边去放鞭炮，我们一人拿着一个打火机，“一，二，三”我们一起点燃冲天炮，四声响声过去，我们抬头看，冲天炮的包装纸像“天女散花”一样散落在我们身上。然后我小心翼翼地点燃擦炮，可能因为害怕，我捂住耳朵，只见一丝火光掠过，就爆炸了。

我意犹未尽，久久沉浸在放鞭炮的快乐中。我开始尝试几种新玩法，我点燃一个擦炮，扔进河里，沉进水里几秒钟就可以听到一声闷响，过会水泡浮出水面，同时冒出一缕白烟，真有意思!我又点燃一个擦炮，放在地上，用塑料盒子盖住，“砰”的一声，盒子被砸开，由此可见擦炮的威力可真大啊

今年春节在家，吃完年夜饭，我就跟小弟弟放烟花爆竹，我真开心。春节还有很多习俗，贴春联，吃年夜饭，看春节联欢晚会，给长辈拜年，拿压岁钱……但我还是最喜欢放鞭炮。

我想：大人物放鞭炮应该是为了驱赶一年中的霉气，对来年的期盼!但现实放鞭炮是人们生活幸福安康的一个标志。这就是我喜欢的节日——春节。这就是中华儿女最重要的节日，我爱我们的节日。
