the old story says that the beast "nian" with a very big mouth was so fierce and could swallow many people in one single bite. people were very scared. an old man offered to subdue "nian" and said to "nian": "i hear that you are very capable, but can you swallow the other beasts instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents?" so "nian" swallowed many of the other beasts that hurt people and their domestic animals. the old man turned out to be an immortal god and riding the beast "nian" flied to the heaven.

now that "nian" is gone and other beasts were also scared into forests, people began to enjoy their peaceful life. before the old man left, he had told people to put up red paper decorations on their windows and doors at each years end to scare away "nian" in case it sneaked back again, because red is the color the beast feared the most.

还记得去年的春节，家家户户都喜气洋洋，而且我正好十周岁了，爷爷奶奶都说这是双喜临门！

春节是在老家过的，在那之前，我们已经很久没到老家了。到家已经中午，爷爷奶奶把饭菜拿到我面前时，看着满桌可口的饭菜，我就忍不住拿起了筷子。爷爷看着我这样，不禁哈哈大笑起来，而奶奶却在一旁说：“孙女，好好吃，现在长身体呢。”有了奶奶撑腰，我继续埋下头来，把嘴巴塞得满满的，像只饥饿的狼找到食物一般。

吃完以后，我们睡了一个舒服的午觉，好好地养精蓄锐了一番。到了下午，我们一家来到大街上。大街上处处张灯结彩，喜气洋洋，所有商店门前都挂着一盏盏喜气的大红灯笼。街上的行人都穿着新衣服，打扮得漂漂亮亮。爸爸望望周围，突然跑到我和妈妈的前面，指了指四周说：“你们看，人山人海，好一番热闹的景象。咦，这里有卖烟花的，我们买点好不，同意的举手。”爸爸话音刚落，我和妈妈不约而同地同时举起了手。“天女散花，我要买，我要买。还有银菊争艳，火树银花……”我大声嚷道。爸爸妈妈同意了，不知不觉我们竟然买了三大箱，费了九牛二虎之力才扛回家。

到了晚上，我们顾不上晚饭，跑到一处空旷地。爸爸立马点燃了一箱鞭炮的导火线，只听“滋——滋——滋”的燃烧声，随后烟花在空中洒了开来，像一颗颗夜晚的繁星，又像绚丽多彩的花瓣，看上去漂亮极了。妈妈也迫不及待地点了一箱烟花，“嗖”的一声，只见天上的烟花像天女散花般的撒落，真是五光十色，十分壮观。

轮到我了，我忐忑不安地点燃了导火线，然后像只逃亡的兔子一下子窜到爸爸的背后。但是很快我就不害怕了，我陶醉在这绚丽夺目的烟花里，多么美丽的烟花。

三箱烟花放完之后，我们又和邻居们共同玩起了叫做“仙女棒”的烟花棒，灿烂的火花照亮了我们每一个人的脸，大街小巷回荡着我们的笑声。

去年的春节，我至今难忘！

春节是我国最隆重最传统的节日，春节又叫过年……春节前到处可以看到张灯结彩，商场里的人是人山人海，川流不息，你拥我挤的抢购年货。最吸引我的还是过年的趣事。

大 年初二，我和妈妈、爸爸一起乘坐火车去外婆家过年。这里很热闹，家家户户都挂红灯、贴对联，有时可以看大戏，真是好玩！外婆为我们准备了丰盛的饭菜，非常 热情。姨爹、舅舅、舅妈也非常热情地招待我们，每个人都给我一个大红包，我高兴极了，立刻给他们一个个拜年，并送上祝福的语言，他们都夸奖我是一个聪明可 爱的小男孩。吃过晚饭后大人玩自己的，我和姐姐开始玩电脑了，我们玩了《捕鱼达人》、《捕鱼假日》、《蛋蛋龙》，电脑玩累了，我们又到外面放鞭炮，放了很 多很多的炮，比如：鱼雷王、彩雷王、四响五响炮、王中王、大中王、小中王烟花等等……

我们都被那些漂亮的烟花和好玩的鞭炮给迷住了。

我的裤子什么时候被炸了一个洞我全然不知，妈妈洗衣服的才发现。我们的肚子有点饿了，但是开饭的时间还没到。于是我们就去买了牛奶、奥利奥、巧克力、优乐美、阿萨姆奶茶，吃着可香了！

这真是一个快乐、有趣和难忘的春节！

正月初三，姐姐一家即将来到，此刻的我站在门口的周围东张西望，“姐姐来了！”我紧张小心地看着爸爸说。因为我听到了大约几个人朝这来的脚步声。“砰砰砰”的确是姐姐一家。此时小孙女正慢慢地走来，一份亲情正融入在大家脸上的笑容和对话的语气中，显得语气亲和力很强，因为激动让说话的语气慢而有力。姐姐已经一年没有回来了，这次过年回家显然被浓浓的亲情包裹着。小孙女又来了，虽然有些陌生，但很快便溶入了这份亲情中。在家里爬上爬下、蹦蹦跳跳，像只可爱的小白兔，而且还唱歌，使得整个家里朝气蓬勃，大家都连忙夸，小孙女变化真大呀！其实，新年中最难忘的事情，就是一家人团圆的时候！说长道短，永远有说不完的话，道不尽的爱。

I like spring festival because we are very happy on that day.Last festival we had a good time and I will never forget it.In the morning all my family were busy preparing for it.I helped to clean the house and my parents were cooking some delicious food.On that afternoon we had a big dinner.At night we made jiaozi and set off fireworks to celebrate the festival.In the meanwhile we watched TV.My parents gave me much lucky money.The next morning we said happy new year to everybody from door to door.

On New Years eve at 8 o clock came, also began in the Spring Festival gala. Watching the funny comedy, listening to beautiful songs, after our family of eight people, clap your hands, laughing. Ah! 除夕之夜8点来了，春节联欢晚会也开始了。看着一个个搞笑的小品，听着一首首动听的歌曲，我们全家八口人，一边拍手，一边笑。啊!我多么希望我们家天天都这样!我好期盼过年，我好期盼过春节呀!

过春节了，我长大一岁，我觉得今年长大一岁后，我应该更加努力学习，更加孝敬父母。我一定会做到的，我一定会做到的!我不会让父母失望。
