Every New Year Nian would rise from swelling in the sea to ravage Chinese village in livestock and hurting people. The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.

每年的春节我们都是在老家过。一到过年，爸爸、妈妈都给爷爷、奶奶带好多吃的、喝的、用的……

到了老家，我就帮奶奶打扫院子，收拾屋子，妈妈则帮奶奶做饭和洗衣服、擦一些东西;而爸爸一下车先拿吃的和喝的，然后陪爷爷聊天儿，说说这一年来的新鲜事，从爷爷灿烂的脸上可以看出生活的幸福。除夕那天更是热闹，上午我们一起贴对联，红红的纸上全写满了吉祥和祝福，窗户上、院子里贴满了窗花，挂满了灯笼。

下午，奶奶、妈妈、姑姑一起包饺子，奶奶提议往饺子里包一个一角钱的硬币，说谁吃了谁就是有福气的人，我们大家都举手赞成，就这样在笑声中饺子包好了，这时噼噼啪啪的鞭炮声也响起来了，听见好多孩子们在街上欢呼着，叫喊着，我也赶紧叫上笑笑姐姐和姑姑一起去放烟花，老家的春节太有趣了。

大年初一一大早，我就被鞭炮声惊醒了，我赶紧起床穿上新衣服，奶奶早已经把街门打开了，拜年的脚步声络绎不绝，我也迫不及待地跑了出去。在老家过春节，真有趣!

盼啊、盼啊，终于盼到春节了!

春节，是我们中华民族最重大的、最欢乐的节日。一大早，我便被那接连不断、震耳欲聋的鞭炮声给“叫醒”了。当傍晚来临的时候，千家万户都欢欢乐乐、热热闹闹的。我看着奶奶做了一桌丰富的饭菜，我的口水都流出来了，伸手就要抓菜吃，妈妈拍了我一下，笑着说：“这个小馋猫，懂点礼貌行不行?”可等妈妈一转身，奶奶还是“偷”了一块牛肉放在我嘴里，我洋洋自得，津津有味地嚼了起来。晚饭做好了，一家人高高兴兴地围坐在一起，桌上摆放着各式各样的美味佳肴，不禁让我们想起这一年中我们曾经付出的艰辛和汗水，想着想着，爷爷便唠起了一些趣事，大家聊着，其乐无穷……时间在不知不觉消逝。团圆饭吃完后，我们开始守岁了，大约7点多，我们期盼的《春节联欢晚会》开始啦!这《春节联欢晚会》精彩纷呈，且年年不同，今年的节目中有优美婉转、跌宕起伏的美曲，有扣人心弦、惊心动魄的表演，有神秘莫测的魔术……这些节目看得我目不暇接。

当我们正看得入神的时侯，被“轰”的一声吓了一跳，向外看去……啊?不知不觉已经12点了呀!爸爸在外面放五彩缤纷的烟火呢!烟花把原本枯寂的夜空装饰得热闹非凡。大家都出来了!小区里广场上人山人海，大家有说有笑，一起度过了美妙、热闹的春节。虽然已经深夜了，但是，欢乐像兴奋剂一样，让大家精神抖擞，没有一丝丝睡意。

春节让我们真快乐，回想着一年就这么快地过去了，来年一定要活得更精彩!不禁想起了诗句“千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”让我们记住快乐，忘记烦恼吧!一年又一年，外公外婆就是这么变老的;一年又一年，我们就是这么长大的。新年总有新的希望，新的目标，新的收获，新的一切……

春节是一年里最重要的节日，也是我最喜欢的节日。因为春节全家人可以欢聚在一起，吃年夜饭，包饺子，孩子能穿新衣服，放鞭炮……其中，最令我难忘的就是放鞭炮。

大年三十那天，一大早，我和妈妈来到买鞭炮的大街上，仿佛置身在鞭炮的海洋里。鞭炮的形状各不相同，有长的、短的、大的、小的、粗的、细的……我最喜欢的就是那小小的蝴蝶雷。我和妈妈买好鞭炮，等待着夜幕降临。吃完年夜饭，我就要迫不及待地下楼放鞭炮，可妈妈说要等到十二点辞旧迎新的时刻才可以放鞭炮。好不容易熬到十二点，全家人都穿上大衣，戴上手套，拿着鞭炮，欢欢喜喜地来到院子里。院子里陆陆续续响起噼里啪啦、震耳欲聋的鞭炮声，我捂着耳朵，仰望着天空五彩缤纷的烟火，它们有的像盛开的牡丹，有的像闪烁的繁星，还有的像皎洁的亮……漂亮极。我再也等不及，壮起胆，拿起一个蝴蝶雷，点上火，使劲扔出去，只听“碰”得一声，天空中隐隐约约地出现一只只翩翩起舞的蝴蝶，像一位位少女在空中飞舞。妈妈也拿出一个蝴蝶雷，点上火，抛向空中，一个个蝴蝶又舞着，我仿佛置身在仙境中，我是一位漂亮的蝴蝶仙子，身边有无数只蝴蝶向我翩翩起舞，我欢快地旋转着，爆竹的声声隆响，烟火的斑斑光点，在我们身边沸腾。这时，爸爸提着一长串鞭炮，点上火，一个个鞭炮在火光中欢蹦着，呐喊着，好像在为我们欢庆，全家人都欢笑着，沉浸在节日的欢快气氛中。

春节是热闹的，春节是欢快的，春节里放鞭炮，更是最令我难忘的。
