I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Summer vacation has arrived, and it is a happy holiday, but do you have a

In Shanghai, therere mainly four means of transportation,the underground, taxis, buses and electric bikes. The underground is much faster than taxis and buses. 去年暑假，我们一家去了九寨沟。最后一天我们去了黄龙，黄龙以景色优美而着名，其最高处有美丽的五彩池。这是我向往已久要去的地方，可高原反应却是免不了的。从机场下来后，我为自己鼓足了信心，开始行程。刚开始，我心情还不错，空气十分新鲜。可走了一段，我双腿开始发软，头部也有剧烈的疼痛，呼吸相当困难。看看前面原路折回的旅客，我渐渐萌发了退意。父亲看到我的样子，说：“再坚持一下，否则就白来了。”此时，我看到父亲微胖的身子，立即想起父亲做实验时的情景，他的精神，难道不值得我学习吗?我在旁边的小亭子里歇了歇后，又继续上路。在路途中，我由于脑部缺氧而头部剧烈疼痛，双腿像灌了铅似的难以前行，但我还是走几步，停下来歇一歇，再继续向前迈进，山顶似乎在向我招手，最后，我几乎用尽浑身力气，终于登上了最高点，看到了我只有在书本上才看到的美丽的“五彩池”。我的坚持给我带来了胜利的果实。

那是一件令我难忘的事，它发生在学校，让我在全班同学面前尴尬地抬不起头。

在一个秋高气爽的早上，我走进教室，放下书包，准备读书，刚打开书一张试卷就掉了下来，我一看，这不是要签字的卷子吗?我没有签字，心中十分紧张，但因为是早读时间，我便趁机将书挡在面前。可是我完全没有心情读书，满脑子都在想着签字的事情。我想：“烦死了，这一天天的什么烂事都发生在我的身上，试卷没签字，一定又要被批评了。等等，我可以自己签啊!但，被发现就会……算了算了，签吧!”

于是，我紧张地取出卷子，在卷子上犹豫着签上了我爸的名字，然后双手发抖地交给组长。自从把卷子交出去之后，没一节课让我省心的。但最不好的事情终于还是发生了，老师把我请到办公室问：“你这字是谁签的?”“我爸。”我低着头说。“是么?我问过了，这是你自己签的，你下节课和我去班上跟同学们说一说这件事。”老师说。我听了之后无奈地摇摇头，走出了办公室。

我迈着沉重的步伐，走进教室，站在讲台上。同学们对我指指点点的，不知道他们在下面说什么。不一会儿，老师大步流星地走了进来，把试卷放在讲台上，说：“这个字，是他自己签的，不是家长签的。我昨天是不是说过，这个卷子必须由家长签字?他倒好，自己签，明天把你家长叫来!”

我听后一阵心凉，同学们在台下，看的看，笑的笑，说的说，我仿佛像是生活在黑暗中一样，外面的天也似乎灰蒙蒙的下起了雨。老师让我站到一边，同学们都看着我，我十分不开心，想着：“今天运气差极了，让我在同学面前出了丑，让我尴尬了一整节课。面子丢光了，明天还要请家长，完了，这事要丑大发了。”

with her. I was shy at first, but then I was affected by her kindness. We became

good friends soon. When I meet difficulties, she will help me without

没等我想完，english老头儿便开始讲。着准备将下一题，english老头儿一看，瞬间呆滞。我心里暗暗的叫道“不好，教室里又将掀起一场腥风血雨！”没一会功夫，english老头儿犹如幡然醒悟（毕竟身为资深讲师，还是要救场滴）我们看着黑板上孤零零的“g”和“j”竟被写反了。我们哄堂大笑了起来。一阵笑声之后，我们屏住气等待着english老头儿的勃然大怒，然后拂袖而去。可是，令我们做梦都想不到的一幕竟然发生了。english老头儿笑着说：“这真是大千世界，无奇不有啊，“g”和“j”都能被写反！不错啊！”瞬间教室像炸开了锅似得。再一次进入高潮。我在心里暗暗地为他们捏了一把汗。

今天是妇女节。是天下所有妇女的节日。

上午，我放家里的保姆阿姨一天假。因为今天是妇女节，所以我放她一天假，让她回到家里和家人一起享受天伦之乐。

今天是妇女节，我要亲自下厨，做一顿美味的午餐给妈妈吃，以午餐来报答妈妈对我的养育之恩。

这次午餐我决定做一道妈妈最喜欢吃的菜--糖炒土豆丝。我照着保姆阿姨平时做菜的样子，先把土豆去皮、洗净，然后把土豆放到菜板上切丝。因为我是第一次下厨，所以我右手紧握着菜刀，左手捏着土豆，我尽量使刀平稳，小心翼翼地切起土豆来……我费了九牛二虎之力，终于把土豆切完了。

在寒冷的今天，我擦去脸上的汗水(因为是第一次下厨，由于紧张出汗了)，打开煤气，开始了我的第二步炒菜方案，我把油放进锅里，就匆匆忙忙地去找糖去了。忽然，我听见锅里发出了“吱、吱”的响声，我慌慌张张地把切好的土豆丝倒进锅里，接着，放糖进锅里，我用了“吃奶”的力气拿着锅铲来回的翻动着，担心菜会被我炒焦了，果然不出我所料，最后还是炒焦了。唉!此时此刻我才体会到炒菜的艰辛。

当我从微波炉里拿出自己的“战利品”时，一看，我傻了眼，原来我放的水过少，米饭半生半熟，怎么办呢?我像一只斗败了的公鸡在厨房里垂头丧气等着妈妈回来。

好不容易等到妈妈回来了，我拿出我的“战利品”，尽管菜的味道实在不怎么样，还带着焦味，米饭半生半熟，但妈妈吃得很香，我看到妈妈的眼里闪着喜悦的泪花。我奇怪地问妈妈：“我做的这么难吃，您为什么还吃得这么香呢?”妈妈笑着说：“因为是我懂事的女儿亲手做的，妈妈觉得这是我一生之中最好最香一顿饭。”此时，我给妈妈送上一个甜甜的吻，并祝她妇女节快乐!

Pollution is becoming more and more serious. I.ook at the batteries all around us. We all know that used batteries are bad for environment. We shouldnt throw them away. We should recycle them. Look at the plastic bags all around us. We all know plastic bags never rot. When we do shopping, we can use paper bags to store goods instead of plastic bags.

As a matter of fact, we can do a lot to prevent the pollution.Lets do something to bring pollution under control.

雨，无声地落下。我下班回家。路上，一个皮肤黑黝年过半百的男人一瘸一拐地在路中间走着，他没有打伞，更别提穿雨衣了，那一身原本干净的衣服早已变了模样。他走着，嘴里还不停地念叨什么。路上的车不停地对他鸣着喇叭，他似乎没有听到，仍走在路的中间。

我跑过去将他拉到路边，他一边跟我走，一边还破口大骂，满嘴的南方口音。骂完后，他似乎平静下来，可是突然，挣开了我的手，消失在雨中。

到家，这件事使我很难忘，想要帮助他，可是又不知如何去做。

第二天，我到了单位，小刘急急忙忙跑到我办公室说：“所长，咱局来了一个精神病人，闹着不走，非说要让你出来。”我很是不解，便随小刘去了。在大厅里看到了昨天的那个男人，我连忙上去问他：“老大哥，找我有啥事?”可是那个男人上来就给了我一拳，然后用他充满南方口音的话骂了起来。我中了他那一拳后，被小刘扶回办公室，另外几个警察将他制服，关在了派出所。我缓过来后，去看他，他一见我，就张牙舞爪、骂骂咧咧，而我却不明其故。

过了几天，有人来报案，说一个穿得很干净，但是精神有些失常的中年男子失踪了。我当时便想到了那个男人。原来，报案的人，是他的妹妹。

她告诉我，那个男人，本来在南方做生意，也小有成就，而且家庭幸福，有一个可爱的女儿。可是就在他过三十二岁生日时，女儿被坏人拐走了。他和妻子找了十几年，也报了案，可是就是没有一点消息，妻子在两年前也因病去世，这对他的打击很大，然后便成了现在的样子。他一直都穿着很干净的衣服，但衣服却从来不是干的，因为，他每天晚上都会一个人无声地哭，直到黑夜，终究让位给黎明。

明白了他的经历，我也非常痛心，在夜晚，我也流下了无声的眼泪。
