Evening seems the same every year. In comparison, there are, however, a large

number of people who hold a different view concerning this issue, they insist

that the Gala must be continued. They argue that it is one of the most important

celebration customs. And they think the Gala is worth expecting.

As far as I am concerned, I am intending to stand on the side of the latter

group of people. Admittedly, the former point of view seems reasonable, but the

latter is more persuasive. Taking the above-mentioned factors into

consideration, I can safely conclude that the Gala just needs a reform in the

future but not to be cancelled.

Spring comes at last. Everything begins to grow. The trees turn green, and the flowers come out. On the playground, in the fields, on each side of the road, the young grass grows everywhere.

Spring also arrives in our school. Come and see, behind our teaching building, there are some small pear trees covered with white flowers; on both sides of it, there are some other flowers smiling at you, Some are yellow, some are red. sports personalities. Without these ‘ordinary’ professions, our society would

stop progressing. Their salaries should relate to skill, education or the value

of the inpidual to society.

Things should be done to make salaries fairer. Huge amounts of money shall

be given to more deserving people. It seems that the only solution is to impose

heavy taxes upon people who earn excessively high salaries.

暑假一开始，我马上去学游泳、英语。刚开始在学英语时，老师在讲什么我都听不懂，俗话说得好：「要学就要问」，所以我就把不会的问题勇敢的举手告诉老师，经由老师细心的解释，再加上我已经学了二、叁年，本来对英语懵懵懂懂的我，现在已经可以跟外国人对话了，还可以很流畅的说出一句生活用语。所以学英语对我来说，真是受益良多，我不但没有辜负老师的期望，也没有浪费父母的钱，真是事半功倍啊!

游泳对我来说，就像是下地狱般的痛苦!因为我害怕游泳，我害怕被同学嘲笑我穿起泳衣很胖，可是我心中的小天使却告诉我说：婕宁，不要害怕，妳不要害怕游泳，不要害怕同学会嘲笑妳，妳只要学好妳该学的就好了。结果，游泳并不是我想像中的那样难，想不到同学根本就不会嘲笑我，老师也对我很好。虽然在学习的过程中有一些小挫折，但是我还是努力的克服了，我学会了仰式、蛙式、自由式、蝶式，而且还通过了九级检定，这一切都是老师的功劳。所以，以后如果有人溺水，我就可以自告奋勇的去救他了。

This summer, I had some special days. I joined dongzhou international educational exchange summer camp.

We talked about many things: famous people, subjects in england, different jobs, our deal days, western star signs, what can we say in a restaurant and so on.

We know lots of things, like what the difference is between “chef” and “cook”, all the parts of the body…

We tried to write a letter to principal zhang. We made a play and we drew our own comics and tried to sell it. We gave some other students english lessons, we taught them about chinese dragon, chinese martial arts and the olympics.

Every afternoon, we played exciting games: chinese whispers, tongue twisters, wheelbarrow, egg and spoon, three legs…

On the last day, we had a good time. We made black tea. We put tea bags, some milk and lots of water in to a big bowl, and then we stirred the tea until it became red and dark. Oh, it tasted good! later, we used eggs, flour and milk to make many pancakes. To cook them is very interesting. When we finished it, the pancakes looked round and nice. The summer camp is a really good chance for me. I know the local things in england. I learned a lot and like english more. I also know better ways to learn english well.

I often eat fruit and vegetables. Apples and oranges are my favorites. I love junk food, too, and I eat it three or four times a week. I sleep less than seven hours ever day. I often feel sleepy. I brush my teeth once a day. I run in the morning, and play ping-pong after school. In my free time, I enjoy surfing the Internet. On weekends, I often go to the movies with my friends.

Newspapers enjoy a longer history and often come out daily with more reliable news and information. They can be carried and read almost anywhere you like. So many people like reading them. But they can only contain texts and photos.

On the other hand, websites are quite new and popular, especially among young people. Websites have not only texts with pictures but also audios and videos, which makes stories more interesting. What’s more, they are updated from time to time. So the latest news is always seen on websites instead of in newspapers. But it is not quite convenient for people without a computer connected with the Internet to get information from websites.

We all know that it is not easy to find a suitable work in the present society. But at the same time, more and more companies say the phenomenon of the brain drain is very serious. I think both the employee and employer should take the responsibility. But employer should take the most duty.
