them something to eat so as to solve their problems. The people in his country

soon became sick of this, and so wanted him to stop. But Marlin just won’t; and

went on helping and helping and helping… nobody knew when he was going to stop,

or when they were going to let him know that they didn’t want him to bother all

day. Ugh, but Marlin wouldn’t stop; all day long he helped this and that, the

room; grow plants, water them, and cut flowers for the house. When he had

already $90, he had decided to help other people. When it was already winter, he

took a shovel and helped his neighbors, friends to shovel snow; and they paid

him a great deal of money.

At last, Marlin had got enough money; he was so excited that he hopped here

and there ten times! Finally, he went to the store near Sunshine school, and

bought the music box, and then handed it to the same boy at his home. Marlin

soon became famous, and he was called, ‘Marlin Blavatsky.’

Where There is Life, There is Music

What is music, no one can explain.

Just imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a magnificent concert

hall. The conductor waves his shiny baton with a graceful swing through the air.

A beautiful melody floats slowly around you

You sit quietly with your eyes shut, your heart open. The delicate vibratos

of the violins carry you to a mood of heavenly bliss. An airy solo of the flute

draws you to the imagination, the notes flow like some jumping swallows dancing

and singing calling for the coming of Spring.

I like music from my childhood. My father often says when I was a baby I

would never go to sleep without soft, beautiful lullabies crooning around my

ears . Now music is a part of my life. When I feel tired, disappointed or in low

spirits, I usually turn to music. Music, nothing but only music can have so

wonderful an effect on my heart, on my pond of feeling.

Music comes with us. Where there is life, there is music. Where there is

music, there is hope. It lies in everyday life, in everyone’s life, in

everything we see, in everything we hear-- in the rhythm of the sea, in the

whisper of a gentle wind, in the melody of a bird’s singing, in the harmony of

Both President Bush and Secretary of State Powell have expressed their sincere regret over your missing pilot and aircraft. Please convey to the Chinese people and to the family of pilot Wang Wei that we are very sorry for their loss. Although the full picture of what transpired is still unclear, according to our information, our severely crippled aircraft made an emergency landing after following international emergency procedures. We are very sorry the entering of Chinas airspace and the landing did not have verbal clearance, but very pleased the crew landed safely.

We appreciate Chinas efforts to see to the well-being of our crew. In view of the tragic incident and based on my discussions with your representatives, we have agreed to the following actions:

Both sides agree to hold a meeting to discuss the incident. My government understands and expects that our air crew will be permitted to depart China as soon as possible.

The meeting would be April 18, 2001.

The meeting agenda would include discussions of the causes of the incident, possible recommendations whereby such collisions could be avoided in the future, development of a plan for prompt return of the EP-3 aircraft, and other related issues.
