谭千秋老师，他用他的生命书写了人民教师奋不顾身的感人事迹，5月13日23时50分，救护车的鸣笛声响彻汉旺镇。中国地震应急搜救中心的救援人员看到：谭老师趴在课桌上，弓下的身躯，展开的双手，摆出守护的姿势。他的后脑被砸得深深的凹了下去。在他的身躯下，救援人员救出了4个学生。四个学生在他的保护伞下获救了，谭老师却为了救孩子的生命壮烈的献出了自己的宝贵生命。要不是他把孩子们藏在课桌底下，用自己的身体挡在了课桌上面，在上面护着4个学生，估计一个也活不了。这是被谭老师救出来的的学生的告诉媒体的事迹。谭老师用自己的行动诠释了人类灵魂工程师这个职业的高尚;生死关头用牺牲自我，挽救别人生命的伟大壮举为我们树立了一个光辉的榜样。
