Summer can be very hot in southern Taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11

I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on

playing till 2 o’clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day

当我还沉浸在美好的睡梦中时，突然，一阵雷鸣般的鞭炮声，把我从梦中惊醒，我捂住耳朵，翻了个身，打算接着做美梦的时候，先是一阵急促的敲门声，紧接着，一双大而有力的手把我从床上拽了起来，我揉了揉惺忪的睡眼，看了看外面，外面一片漆黑，什么都看不见。

我半睁半合着眼睛，有气无力的对姑爹说：“姑爹，才这么早就叫我起来干嘛啊?外面全都是黑的!再让我睡一会啊!”说着，又躺了下去。姑爹这下可急坏了，看这个办法行不通，立马又想了个办法，把灯一开，心想：这下你们可睡不着了吧!果然，我们都伸了伸懒腰，准备穿衣服。我也明白了一个道理：原来之前放鞭炮是要起床的前兆啊!

看了看钟，现在才五点半，“唉!我可从来没有这么早起来过啊!”我慢吞吞地漱完口、洗完脸，刚准备吃饭时，看着一桌丰盛的佳肴，我的睡意全无，口水流了“三千尺”长，立马大吃起来!不过我承认，姑爹的饭菜倒是做得蛮好吃的!嘻嘻!

第二个不同点：这里还有一个不同的风俗习惯，那就是，不管客人来或是走，都要放鞭炮迎送。由于姑妈和姑爹都是老师，所以前来拜年的学生络绎不绝，走了一批又来一批，姑妈家真是车水马龙，桃李满天下啊!但是，姑妈和姑爹都忙不过来，所以，放鞭炮这个重任就交给了我和哥哥，这可把我们乐坏了!可是，坚持了十分钟，就已经累得气喘吁吁了。

真是帮忙——越帮越忙啊!常常是客人进了屋，我们的鞭炮还没响;客人已经走远了，我们的鞭炮才刚响。这可累坏了我们两个“迎客小门童”啊!

在姑妈家过的这个新年真是与众不同!又新奇、又好玩!这就是我寒假中经历的最难忘的一件事!

“人无完人”这个成语用在我身上，那是最好不过的了。老师要求我们遵守的十三条良好的学习习惯，比如：乐于课外阅读，勤于朗读背诵……我都做得很好，可是我的另一个坏习惯保持正确的读写姿势做得还不够好。虽然我平时的时候非常注意姿势，但一不小心大拇指和食指又“打架”了。这不写着写着，两个手指又开始打架了，唉!我一定要改掉我的坏习惯。

当然我的优点也是很多的。比如：爱写日记、勤于查字典、珍惜学习用品……其中让我受益非浅的要数爱思考了。一但拿到题目我就会专心致志地演算起来，直到算对为止，就凭着这股不得到答案绝不退缩的劲头加上我聪明的大脑还有和别人不一样的智商解决了数不清的难题，每当这时我脸上就会路出灿烂的笑容，不是求人时的赔笑，也不是特定场合的笑，而是一种成功后发自内心的笑。

当然，我也有一些缺点，其中困扰我很久的一个缺点粗心。记得有一次考试，有一道很难的思考题，同学们抓耳挠腮，可谁都做不出来，我利用所学的知识终于得到了答案。在写一个得数时把2。5写成了25，导致后面的答案全部都错了，害得我白白扣了几分，你说这个缺点可恶不可恶？

随着新学期的到来，我将再接再厉、扬长避短，争取更大的进步!

With the rapid development of the society, people can live a better life in

general. So because of the improvement of people’ s living standard, more and

more people own cars. Traffic jam comes to life. While people in order to be

punctual, they often ignore the cars crossing on the road. This behavior will

easily bring traffic accidens. On the other hand, the car owner also want to be
