The Chinese New Year is very similar to the Western one, rich in traditions, folklores and rituals. It has been said that it is a combination of the Western Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. This is hardly an exaggeration!

The end of the New Year is marked by the Festival of Lanterns, which is a celebration with singing, dancing and lantern shows.

At the Festival, all traditions are honored. The predominant colors are red and gold. "Good Wish" banners are hung from the ceilings and walls. The "God of Fortune" is there to give Hong Baos. Lion dancers perform on stage continuously. Visitors take home plants and flowers symbolizing good luck. An array of New Years specialty food is available in the Food Market. 余老师的身型肥肥的，戴着一副眼镜，双眼小小，存着一头短头发。说余老师尤其，是由于她一直变脸。有一次，余老师摸着自身的秀发，和同学们玩笑：之前，我可有一头飘逸的长发，你们让我操了太猜疑，秀发都泛白了。这时候，她一双小而有灵气的双眼便会释放出仁慈的光辉。有一些同学们听了这句话，开怀大笑起来。余老师看到了，马上板起了脸，用劲睁大她的小双眼，大声说出：敢嘲笑老师?不能笑!同学们勤奋地憋着了欢笑声，装得很聪明。我觉得：老师撕破脸皮跟翻开书一样，越来越飞快。

余老师真喜爱变脸，下课了说笑变脸，授课也变脸。那一次余老师正兴高采烈地讲着，同学们津津乐道地听着。忽然，余老师停了出来，沉着脸，看向最终一排，把无名指放到嘴前，使我们不必出声。大家很纳闷儿，也向后排座凝望，原来是小涛低着脑壳，双手不知在课桌里做什么。

余老师缓缓的来到小涛眼前，脸部外露了怪异的微笑。小涛总算被班里死一般的静寂拉到了课堂教学，他发觉余老师不见了，猛然发觉老师就在他的身边，把物品丢入课桌，不知该怎么办。余老师从课桌里取出一个用纸卡折的小帆船，微笑忽然消失了，皱紧眉梢，板着脸地对小涛说：这并不是美术课!授课走神，到后边站着去!说着就把他拖到后边来到。老师返回演讲台上，一下子又眉飞色舞地讲起课来。放学后，余老师把小纸船归还小涛，慈爱地说：授课可不可以走神，上课认真听讲，纠正就行。小涛用劲地址了点点头。

如果给余老师画漫画，我可不知道给她是什么表情，她的小表情一直让人捉摸不透，一会儿是平易近人的，一会儿是严肃认真的，一会儿板着脸的，一会儿又越来越很慈爱。但无论是哪一种小表情，都包括了余老师对大家的关注和爱惜。
