So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.Burning fireworks was once the most typical custom on the Spring Festival. I like spring festival very much. Its my favourite holiday.

我最喜爱的节日是春节，它在一月或者二月。对于中国人来说这是最重要的节日。在那天，每个人都认真打扮，他们会像父母问好，然后每个孩子会得到红包作为新年礼物。

北方人喜欢早上吃饺子或者汤圆。饺子的形状像中国的元宝，他们吃饺子来期盼财源广进。燃放烟花也曾一度是春节的传统习俗。我非常喜欢春节，它是我最喜欢的节日。

Lantern Festival

Lantern Festival is a Chinas traditional festival. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year.

I,antern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China. Several days before Lantern Festival, people begin to make lanterns. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many, other things. While making

lanterns people usually write riddles on lanterns. On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up.

On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy. Our life is rich and varied.

元宵节

元宵节是中国的一个传统节日。通常在阴历年的第一个月的第十五天庆祝。

中秋节那天晚上，我和爸爸妈妈早早的吃完晚饭。然后我们一起坐在阳台上，等待月亮出来，准备观察中秋节月亮的变化。妈妈拿出准备好的月饼和水果，正当我们兴致勃勃的时候，可惜的是，天公不作美，因为下雨月亮隐藏在厚厚的云层里。这时，妈妈说：“今晚是中秋节，我请你们吃月饼，但是，但是前提是要说一个跟月亮有关的诗句或者故事。”

“我先来，我先来!”我喊道：“明月几时有，把酒问青天。”我得意洋洋的拿起一块月饼。这时候，爸爸拿起一个苹果，故作深沉状：“三十功名尘与土，八千里路云和月。”我有点疑惑：“这是谁的诗句?”爸爸说：“这是岳飞的《满江红》”。

妈妈这时候发话了：“举头望明月，低头思故乡。”说完她拿起一个水果，抬头看向窗外，然后惊讶的说：“月亮要出来了!”

我抬头一看，可不是吗!月亮，身穿着一身素装，羞羞答答的从云朵中露出脸。刚开始，月亮还犹抱琵琶半遮面，一会儿月亮就整个从幕后走到了台前。月光洒满了大地。这时候妈妈问我：“你知道为什么中秋节吃月饼吗?”

我说：“月饼代表团圆”妈妈说“对。”妈妈又给我讲了很多关于中秋节月亮的传说，比如嫦娥奔月等等。

这时电视里边放着一首“明月几时有”的歌曲，我抬头看着天上的月亮，心想：总有一天，我会登上月球去看看。

the large number of our population has become one of the most serious problems of our society. According to a recent survey of the National Bureau of Statistics, there are more than 1.3 billion people in our country, which account for about 1/5 of all the people in the world. the same survey also predicts that our population will grow quickly in the years to come.

Overpopulation has brought about a series of negative effects to our economic development and social security. In the first place, too many people impose a heavy burden on our environment. As a result, we suffer from a shortage of fresh water and natural resources. In the second place, as the supply of labor GREatly exceeds the demand of the society, many people become employed. This is a source of social unrest. Last but not least, we have to manufacture all kinds of products to meet the needs of the people, which causes environment pollution to our lakes and land.

Serious though the problem seems, we have to take some measures to tackle it. On the one hand, the government should carry out more strictly the policy of family planning, thus reducing the total number of population. On the other hand, all the people should realize the harms of overpopulation. With the concerted efforts of all the parties concerned, were sure to solve the problem in the future.
