Last years Spring Festival is special. My uncle and my aunt came back from

Shanghai. My family were very happy to spend the Spring Festival with them. And

it was the most exciting festival of all the festivals.

On New Years Eve，my father and my uncle talked about their work together.

My mum did some cooking with my aunt. Grandparents and I watched the New Year TV

programmes. At about six o’clock， we had a special family dinner. We all thought

the dumplings were delicious.

On the first day of the New Year， we visited our relatives. In the

afternoon，we went shopping in Jiefang Road. My uncle bought some Jays CDs. He

likes Jay’s music very much. There were so many people on the road. It was more

alive than any other time of a year.

On the second and the third days，we spent a wonderful weekend in the

1Learning Style

Educators have known for a long time that people learn in different ways. That is why teachers present information in various forms. These tests show that, although most people have one dominant style of learning, they are also able to use other learning styles effectively. Some people even seem to have many different learning styles.

The advantage of knowing what kind of learner you are is that you can then study in the way that best suits your learning style.

I went to summer camp on vacation. On the first day, we went to a beautiful

beach. It was a sunny and hot day, so we went swimming. The water was warm and

Halloween Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints‘ Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly. Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o‘-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern". The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!"
