和平不只是想像，只要每一个人做好自己，多关心野生动物，多保护野生动物，总有一天，我们人类和动物和平共处的梦想一定会实现的。

As we know, some animals are dying out for various reasons. There is no doubt that animals are our friends. With World Animal Day coming near, what should we do to protect animals?

First of all, we should forbid people’s killing animals at random. Second, we should do all we can to protect animals’ living environment. With their living environment destroyed, the animals will become extinct sooner or later. Third, we should try our best to make everyone realize the importance of protecting animals. 近日，由相关部门举行的湛江市保护野生动物宣传月系列活动正式启动。为进一步增强全民保护野生动物的意识，湛江市林业局和湛江日报编辑部联合举办“保护野生动物共建蓝色湛江”征文活动。欢迎社会各界积极参与，踊跃投稿。

一、征文内容

野生动物是人类的朋友，是自然生态系统的重要组成部分，是大自然赋予人类的宝贵自然资源。保护野生动物，维护自然生态平衡，不仅关系到人类的生存与发展，也是衡量一个国家、一个民族、一个城市文明进步的重要标志。

保护野生动物是每一位公民应尽的义务和责任。关爱野生动物，就是善待我们自己，就是爱护我们的家园，就是珍惜我们的生命。征文作品要求围绕“保护野生动物 共建蓝色湛江”的主题，抒发对保护野生动物的认识和感受等。

二、征文要求

1. 征文作品以散文、随笔为主。作品要求主题鲜明，健康向上，感情真挚，文字精练。字数宜在1200字以内。

2. 作品必须是作者原创，文责自负。

3. 作品均使用Word文档排版。并在标题前注明“保护野生动物 共建蓝色湛江”征文字样。

4. 征文时间：即日起至2015年12月15日止。

5. 投稿一律不退，请作者自留底稿。

三、奖项设置

征文活动结束后，将评选出一等奖2名、二等奖4名、三等奖10名。获奖作品将颁发证书和奖金。并择优刊登在《湛江日报》上。

Pandas are my favourite animals. In fact, all the people like pands as well. Pandasliving in the wild can live for 20 years while the pandas that live in the zoos can have a life of more thqn 30 years. Pandas are really lovely. They can not only climb trees but also swim. However, the number of pandas is decreasing sharply. It is said that there are only 1000 pandas remaining in the world at present. It is sad news for all of us. Therefore, we are supposed to take measures to protect pandas in order to prevent them from dying out.
