记得那是今年暑假的一天，我和姥姥在公路的一边坐着聊天，我看见一只小猫想穿过马路去吃对面的一块肉，谁知，小猫刚走到马路中间，一辆大卡车过来了，司机先生一边按喇叭，一边嘴里骂道：“死猫走开。”小猫还没理解了司机的意思，司机先生已不耐烦了，他一踩油门，一个小生命就这样死在了满载货物的大卡车的车轮下。我看着这一幕又气愤又伤心，为了纪念这只可怜的小猫，所以我想把这一天——7月2日设立为保护动物节。
