世界卫生组织把2007年世界卫生日的主题确定为“投资卫生,构建安全未来”,以此呼吁各国高度关注新型和传统疾病以及大规模突发性公共卫生危机给人类带来的灾难,增加卫生事业投资,确保子孙后代能够生活在安全、发展、繁荣的和谐社会中。世界卫生组织4月2日在新加坡召开了题为“改善国际卫生安全必要性”的高级别辩论会。各国政界、工商企业和媒体负责人聚集一堂,发出强烈信息：只有立即加大对卫生事业的投资,才能为人类构建安全的未来。
