My dream is to become a successful stateman, helping those people who need

Good Neighbours

We all have neighbours. A good neighbour is better than a distant relative. It is common that we may meet with difficulties.When we have igood neighbours, they will always come to help you. Neighbours should get on well with each other.

My neighbour has a daughter. We are of the same age but we don~t study in the same school. In the evening we always do homework together. She is good at maths and I am good at English. So we often help each other.

Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.

Nowadays university graduates have different job outlooks. For most of them, to find a job with satisfactory pay is their most important wish while majority want to be self – employed. 屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

2008北京奥运迈着稳健而自信的脚步近了，来了。

2001年申奥成功时，中国人向世界庄严承诺：奥运火炬接力活动将把火炬送到世界最高峰---珠穆朗玛峰。2008年5月8日，北京奥运火炬珠峰传递登山队成功登顶珠峰。首次点亮这个世界最高峰，创造了奥运圣火登上世界第三极地纪录。伟大的设想和承诺变为现实。

奥运火炬正在中国大地传送，熠熠升腾的火焰，是我们每个中国人对祖国腾飞的祝愿。等到8月8日，在北京将点燃的是全人类的梦想!
