My favourite great book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

The theme of the story is to do with children growing up and becoming more

Such a movie called “Growing Pains” seems full of knowledge and experience.

So it does because all of us have growing pains and also growing gains in our

lives.

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means I have to work hard in

studying and in family. There’s always so much homework given by teachers and so

many arguments between the parents and me. The time is fair, but it seems it

gives pains three quarters and only one quarter to gains.

But gains give me power and confidence. Successes and friendship make me

happy and enjoyable. We played with snow in the winter that seldom snows, we

flew kites in the night that usually belongs to homework, we ate several ice

creams that almost made us cold. We picked up leaven that no longer high up!

Although pains are always more than gains, I believe both of them make my

life more colorful.

回忆起以前做的种种傻事，我都会忍不住大笑两声。童年时的我很纯洁，用我们的方言说就是“较真”。什么事情都以为是真的。

七八岁的时候，我们女生都在小琪家玩儿卖东西的、教学之类的游戏。我们每次玩儿得都很开心。有一次，我们卖一双手套，那双手套特别漂亮，我对它爱不释手。到午饭时间了，我和其他小伙伴都回家了。

后来，我找了小琪，让她给我解释，但他一直吞吞吐吐的，也说不出原因，我轻声细语的告诉小琪：“犯错不要紧，人人都会犯错的，重要的是能改正，好吗？”小琪点了点头。

事后再去小琪家玩儿时，她的妈妈也为之前对我的态度表示了歉意，我也很欣慰的接受了道歉。

回家之后，我问妈妈：“这件事你为什么不帮我呢？”我内心以为妈妈是不关心我。我很伤心，但事实——妈妈说：“你看，我没有帮你，你这不是办的也挺好的吗！想锻炼一下你处事的能力，因为你要长大了。”听到这，我才明白妈妈是在关心我。想一想，我处事的能力真的提高了！

步入初四，就像长袍步入最后一百米冲刺一样。要拼、要冲这最后的一百米，要让自己奔跑起来，向着中考跑去。

刚开始初四时，什么都不适应，作业量、讲课进度和课下的预习、复习完全和以往三年不同，当我想放弃自己的时候，发现身边的同学不知何时已完全适应了这种紧张而忙碌的初四生活，看到他们如此，我便努力融入这种生活中。

就想跑步的百米测试，老师和父母都很着急我的跑步没满分。老师说每天练、每天练，到时自然就会跑快了，可我却一次都没有练过，还在心里暗暗的想，谁会去跑步啊，还这么冷的天真是的。

考试时，刚开跑没二百米双腿就像灌满了铅一样，再迈不开大步子，只能眼睁睁的看着身边的同学一个一个的超过去，心有壮志而力不足啊。

第二圈，呼吸也开始不匀了，和鼓风机一般呼呼作响，双腿也愈来愈沉重。突然有个停下来的念头在我脑海里一闪而过，就当我想放弃的时候，同学在里圈为我加油：‘‘跑起来，快点!就快要到终点了，加油快跑啊!’’突然好像惊醒一般，大步的向终点跑去。‘‘啊~终于跑完了’’细细一想才发现，只不过是三分多的事儿，平时没有多加练习，考试就会很累。学习上亦是如此，要为自己拼一把，在最后的关头更是不能松懈，咬紧牙关，就一会的事儿，让自己奔跑起来。

人生其实就像跑步，只有让自己奔跑起来才不会落后。

心中那隐隐的放弃之想，太多的艰辛使无数人失去了心中的终点，而那些不屈的灵魂，则会继续在生命的旅途上奔跑。

其实，我的确如此，但也并不完全如此，我总觉得有些事情值得去笑，也有些事不值得去笑。就拿我在班上说吧，同学们没事时三五个围成一堆儿，在一起有说有笑，可有时，我就是不愿意去靠近他们。这时的我，会乖乖地坐在一边看书。我把这些事情告诉了爸爸，爸爸对我的评价是——社交能力差、性格冷僻、缺少风趣。天哪！爸爸可以去做相声演员了，一口气说了我这么多缺点。哎！不过，这也难怪，谁让爸爸都说中了点呢？这时的我，又会一赌气，转身就走，可回到自己的屋里，想想爸爸说的话，又觉得自己应该好好改正一下自己的缺点。这就是另一面的我，性格暴躁，而又懂得谦虚，同时又特别爱要面子。

我从小到大，几乎是在家人的一片表扬声中长大的。那时，我会觉得天那么高，世界那么美，自己是那么幸福，可是长大后，别人稍一指出我的毛病或缺点，我就会心里不平衡，但又自我安慰地听着别人指出的缺点，这就是又一面的我——会自我安慰的我。

其实，只要是女孩子，大都爱干净，我当然也不例外。听妈妈说，我小的时候，山于夏天天热，我会常常跑到水边冲脚，冲完脚走在路上，我会低着头一直看着我的鞋尖，一旦有一点脏东西爬了上去，就会立刻跑回去，再次冲脚，直到我走完这一路程，而且鞋面上没有任何脏东西时，才会露出一丝甜甜的笑容。其实，我不只是为了干净而干净，在走这一短短的路程中，我也在进行着一场激烈的心理斗争，我要战胜自己，这又是另一面的我，争强好胜，不轻易认输。

“来，好孩子，咱们就再写一遍好吗？就一遍。”‘不，我一遍也不写。”由于我的名字中有个“媛’字，而且笔画特别多，每次都是我先闹着学写‘媛’字，而每次最先放弃的也是我，这就又是另一面的我——急躁、没耐心，还常常。

总之，我的性格有时我也说不清，它会随着我的心情变化，会随着天气而变化，不过我会不断吸取教训，改正我的缺点。你愿意和我做朋友吗？

在人群中，有两种人，一种“高人一等”，一种“低人一等”。小个子的我总是向往有一天在人群中能高人一等。

穿增高鞋、站在高处与别人相比、用书垒高自己。我用了诸多方法垒高自己，终于有一天，发现自己慢慢也可以“高人一等”。

有一天，我用几本厚厚的书垒高自己时，父亲问：“你下来，你跟我讲讲这些书都说了什么？”我一愣，在身体垒高了的同时，我在知识方面却低人一等。从那以后，我开始学会努力的读书，学知识。

初学总是令人高兴，但也有时会产生厌烦。学习拼音时，我就十分不耐烦：“学这干什么？这跟方块字有什么关系吗？”有一天，我终于明白了这些“扭动”的拼音，能给予我巨大的帮助。它们教会我认读了许多不认识的字。

翻过一本本书，当封面变成八年级上册的时候，当阅读的书籍转变成一本本名着的时候，当时间年轮一圈圈转过的时候，我不再需要用书来垒高自己，我在知识海洋中，已经不知不觉的长高了！

整理着这一本本读过的书，我发现自己不知不觉中已经读过了几百本书，抽出那几本厚厚的书，想起儿时天真的我，曾用它们去垒高自己，我不禁的觉得可笑。

我明白：我尽管还是如此矮小，我尽管还在想办法垒高自己。我相信，不管身材在人群是属于“高人一等”或是“低人一等”，我只要用书、用知识来将自己垒高，变成有学问的人，在那些高大却是“文肓”的人中，我永远是“高人一等”！

书并没有帮我把身材垒高，但书帮我把精神垒高。终于有一天，我会过上“高人一等”的生活。我相信，我一定会用书上的知识把自己越垒越高，尽管你看到我的身材依然还是那么矮小。
