八月底的北京，已经有些秋天的气息，早晚气温比较凉爽。登长城的那天，天气特别好，晴空万里，阳光明媚。我们一大早就出发了，经过一个多小时的车程，来到了长城脚下。长城入口处人山人海，我抬头向上望去，长城宛如一条巨龙横卧在崇山峻岭之间，望也望不到头。爸爸笑着问我：“毛主席说过，不到长城非好汉，你今天能不能登上长城当好汉啊?”我想都没想就坚定地说：“没问题!”

我们朝着好汉峰的方向开始登长城。城墙高大坚固，全部用石条和城砖砌成，每隔一段距离就有一座烽火台。我兴奋地一路小跑着，一会走斜坡，一会爬台阶，越走越高，路也越来越窄。一个烽火台、两个烽火台，连续登上了好几个烽火台，可是好汉峰还是离我那么遥远。这时我已经口干舌燥、浑身是汗，坐在台阶上大口喘着气，都不想再向前走了。妈妈对我说，做好汉是要付出艰苦努力的，中途放弃就变成懒汉啦!你要相信自己，继续加油哦!听了妈妈的话，我擦了擦汗，喝口矿泉水，鼓起劲，继续向前攀登。

我终于登上了好汉峰。站在高大的烽火台上，回头望去，山峦起伏，长城曲折蜿蜒，雄伟壮观，真像一条腾飞的巨龙。一阵凉风吹来，全身的疲劳一扫而光。从爸爸妈妈赞许的目光中，我感到十分激动与自豪。通过登长城，我深深地感觉到，今后无论干什么事情都不能怕困难、半途而废，要坚定信心，勇往直前，一定能取得最后的胜利。

Beijing ,a metropolis in northern China, is the capital of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). It is also known in English as Peking Beijing is also one of the four municipalities of the PRC, which are equivalent to provinces in Chinas administrative structure and is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. I took a trip to Shanghai with my mother during the seven-day holiday. It took us more than two hours to drive to Shanghai from my home in Haimen. We stayed in a large hotel on the eighth floor.

On the first day, I just stayed in the hotel and rested. On the second day, my brother and I went to Nanjing Road. It’s the busiest street in Shanghai. When we got there, there were lots of people.

We walked from one shop to another. I bought two T-shirts and two pairs of trousers for the coming summer. The T-shirts and trousers I bought are all white because white is my favourite colour.

My brother also bought some clothes. On the third day, my mother took me to Jinjiang Entertainment Centre. It was full of people. I played many kinds of games there. I had a good time.

The other days, I went to some other interesting places, such as the Oriental Bright Pearl TV Tower, the Huangpu River and Shanghai International Conference Centre.

I didn’t forget to do my homework in the evening. I had a full and happy holiday.
