我去过很多地方，有乌镇、杭州、厦门等等。可是我最喜欢的一个地方叫厦门。

“呜——呜”这是我和爸爸妈妈所在的轮船发出的声音。我们是在厦门的海上坐轮船，“这是湖泊还是大海？！”我又奇怪又激动地问。“这是大海！”爸爸说。“太美了！”，我看着蔚蓝的大海，有时还有几朵洁白、美丽的浪花。几只海鸥在跟风浪搏击。一边欣赏着美丽的大海，不知不觉中轮船就靠岸了。

爸爸妈妈就带我去欣赏厦门的风景，一路上间见到的都是很多高过90米的大树，树上的树须差不多长1米！更令我吃惊的是：在鼓浪屿那里有一棵高达200米的参天大树！树须长达8。9米高！接着我们来到了鼓浪屿的著名景点——“日光岩”走进去，再走几个台阶就来到了一个跟长城差不多的建筑物，我和爸爸妈妈走到了那个建筑物的最高处，我往下俯视一切东西都像蚂蚁那样渺小。我们还去了海洋公园，我看到了美丽的小丑鱼、笨拙的乌龟、妖媚的水母型，形态万千的珊瑚，有的像分枝的鹿角，有的像绽开的花朵，真是美丽！

我们在厦门游玩了几天就走了，可厦门还是使我流连忘返。就这样厦门之旅画上了一个不完美的句号。

我的家乡在厦门，相传远古时代是白鹭鸟生活、嬉戏的地方，所以它还有一个美丽的名字叫“鹭岛”。鹭岛虽只是个岛，却是我国著名的海滨风景城市，同时是中国的四个经济特区之一。

厦门四面环海，绵延千里的海岸线，与祖国的宝岛――台湾隔海相望，蓝天碧海，气侯宜人，风景秀美，每年都吸引了世界各地无数的游客来到这里旅游观光。鼓浪屿因为家家户户都有钢琴而出名，被称为“琴岛”，漫步在岛上干净的小路上，会不时传来一阵阵悠扬的琴声，岛上绿树成阴、鲜花盛开，四季长青，有如人间仙境。厦门这几年经济发展速度很快，发生了翻天覆地的变化，一幢幢造形各异的大厦拔地而起，马路宽阔整齐、四通八达，到处是绿树，到处是草地，整座城市就像一座花园，海沧大桥、厦门大桥将鹭岛与大陆紧紧连在一起，厦门再也不是原来的厦门。

一天晚上，我在甜密的梦乡中梦见：蔚蓝的大海下，鱼儿欢快地游着，一条闪着金光的海底隧道，尤如海里的七色彩虹，架起了厦门到翔安的另一条高速通道，人们乘着车悠闲地走在隧道里，将可观看齐妙的海底世界，享受海底翱游的美妙感觉；鼓浪屿的东南方，一座比鼓浪屿面积更大、景色更优美的人工岛已经建成了，人们称它为“仙境岛”，美国迪斯尼乐园在这里落户，米老鼠、唐老鸭等热情欢迎着世界各地的小朋友；突然有一天，鹭岛上车流、人流少了许多、车水马龙的景象不见了，厦门的第一条地铁通车了，从此，人们上班、学习再也不用为堵车的现象而发愁了，空气也更加清新……

清晨，我从梦中醒来，原来是一场梦啊！我在心里盼望：不久的将来，我的这些梦想一定很快就会实现，那时的厦门将更加美好。因为我们大家都爱厦门。

厦门真是一个色彩斑斓的海上花园啊！

蓝天、骄阳、绿树、鲜花、以及那无边无际的大海，构成了七彩的厦门。

四季如春的气候，蕴育了大街小巷布满的绚丽多彩的花朵。我们的市花三角梅小巧玲珑，遍布着每一个角落。它红的像火，粉的如霞，白的似雪，每一株都那么鲜艳，令人眼前一亮。市树凤凰木披着那碧绿如同翡翠般的绿叶，凤凰花盛开时，火红的花朵把天空都映得格外红，令人心旷神怡。还有大大小小的花朵，铺满街道旁，让每道路五颜六色，美丽极了。

It has been a long time since I wrote the last letter. Nowdays, people write letters less and less, instead, they make a call or send a SMS. However, it is still a good way for us to communicate with each other by sending a letter.

Its my honour to get the chance to write to you. "Approachable" is my first impression of you, because you always keeps smiling. Students may fear the teachers that are serious both in and out of class. Smile makes a teacher popular with his students, you are a teacher of this very kind.

You always arrive at the classroom ahead of any of the students, from which we could imply that you are a diligent man with regular habit. Before the class, you like to talk to us, at this very time, you are more a friend than a teacher. To be honest, I was surprised in the first class when I learned a teacher at your age could speak English in such a fluent way.(I didnt mean you are old, youre young at heart.) Moreover, you know well how to keep your class attractive. Youve got such an active mind that you can keep talking during the whole class without a pause. I always appreciated your ideas and enjoyed listening to you. In your class, I learned not only the writing skills but also the presentation skills as well as much knowledge of other areas. Ive got some suggestions for you. It seems that we students have got few chances to participate in discussion during the class time. Most of the time, we are listening. Seldom did we express our own ideas. I suggest that teachers should interact with students more frequently in the class. 太阳要落山了，我和妈妈、舅妈姐姐从方特公园走出来，我和姐姐谈论自己认为好玩和好看的地方，妈妈和舅妈也说出了自己的感受。

早上，我们一行人来到了方特公园，先到了“太空山”，当走进时光遂道，外层的圆筒就开始呼呼滚动起来，使脑袋也跟着天旋地转的，进入“满天星空”，里面一片黑暗，只有无数的小星星在天空眨着眼睛，这时我仿佛进了一片星空，又感觉有人在移动，于是我仔细一看，原来是地板反照的人影，真有趣。

来到坐航天飞船的地方，打开舱门进入机舱，航空之旅开始了，在飞离陨石，脱离危险不过短短的几分钟，却其乐无穷。我们还去了“恐龙危机”，那儿的人可真多，排个队都要三十分钟，终于轮到我们了，拿了立体眼镜，坐在“防爆列车”里面出发了，一开始一只恐龙的身影出现在窗户后面，突然列车一个360度大转弯，我被旋得分不清方向了，这时，车子把我们转到一个大屏幕，上边突然跳出几只美洲龙，对着我看了几眼，最后它们终于长鸣一声反身离去，这时，高峰时刻到了，我们的列车飞到了摩天大楼一下子又直倒栽下去。吓了我一身冷汗。

虽然这是我第二次来到方特公园，但每一次的感受是不一样的哟！不信，你也去试一试吧！

我们的春假开始啦，爸爸和我一起坐飞机去厦门旅游。飞机像一只巨大的铁鸟，煽动着两只铁翅膀，冲上云霄，穿过层层叠叠的云海，把我们送到厦门。厦门市一个位于南海的美丽小岛，马路两边有很多的棕榈树。棕榈树的树干笔直光滑坚硬，没有树枝树杈，只有树干的顶端长出很多绿色的树叶，可像一把撑开的大伞。

我玩得最多的是海边的白城沙滩。这个沙滩是月牙型的，沙子像粉末一样，又细又软。碧绿的海水轻轻地抚摸我的小脚丫，痒痒的，不过挺舒服的哦！在旅途过程中，我遇见啦安吉路小学的一位二年级小朋友，于是我们就成啦玩耍的伙伴。

我们在沙滩上堆城堡，挖坑。我们先画一个圆圈当做城堡的基座，接着把沙子往上填在圆圈中，堆成一个金字塔型，另外一个伙伴去海里取水，均匀地洒在城堡外围，然后又堆上干的沙子，于是城堡越堆越高。最后拿来一个插着吸管的椰子，放在城堡的顶端，当作尖顶。这样一座城堡就造好啦，远远望去像迷你型的金字塔，可壮观啦。这天晚上我们去啦一个“学校”吃饭，叫“8零九0”怀旧班，这个学校餐馆真是太有意思啦，一进餐馆就看到“好好吃饭，天天向上”的牌子和“学习园地”，里面菜单叫课程表和家庭作业，小菜和汤叫补习班，厨房叫校长办公室，付钱叫交学费。

等我们吃完饭还发啦一张奖状呢，还系啦一条红领巾留影啦，最后离开这个餐馆就毕业啦。我们除啦玩沙滩，还去啦鼓浪屿爬日光岩，鼓浪屿上的建筑很有特色，据说有十几种风格呢，可漂亮啦，最后去啦景色优美的厦门大学和南普陀寺，我们就结束这次旅行啦。这次旅行还是很有收获和开心的哦，当然也是这次假期中最开心的一件事。

In the Warring States Period, a man in the state of Chu was offering a sacrifice(祭品) to his ancestors. After the ceremony, the man gave a beaker of wine to his servants.

The servants thought that there was not enought wine for all of them, and decided to each draw a picture of snake; the one who finished the picture first would get the wine.

One of them drew very rapidly. Seeing that the others were still busy drawing, he added feet to the snake.

At this moment, another man finished, snatched the beaker(烧杯，大口杯) and drank the wine, saying,"A snake doesnt have feet. How can you add feet to a snake?"

This idiom refers to ruining a venture by doing unnecessary and surplus things.

Gulangyu — A fairyland in the world

Gulangyu is a small island of Xiamen. It’s like a garden on the water. Cars and buses are not allowed to drive there, which makes the island so quiet that music played on the piano and violin can be heard.

Here the sky and the sea clearly meet on the horizon. When standing at the top of the Sunshine Rock, you can see much of the landscape of Xiamen, and when standing at its foot, you can gaze at the beautiful garden that surrounds it.

Gulangyu produces bananas, coconuts, sugar cane and so on. The people here, warm, simple and hardworking, are making every effort to make the island more beautiful and they hope to welcome more visitors in the future.

一直以来，我总想着去海边玩，但一直没机会。今年暑假，爸爸决定带全家去厦门玩，终于让我可以梦想成真了！

早上六点多，妈妈就来叫我起床，穿上妈妈特意给我买的去沙滩穿的衣服，我们一家人就迫不及待地出门了。到了火车站，我们和我的好朋友轩轩一家汇合，然后就坐上开往厦门的高铁出发了。一路上，我很兴奋，坐在窗户边一直在看窗外的风景，古老的房子、巍峨的青山、碧绿的农田……，迷迷糊糊中我睡着了。

“醒醒，闺女，醒醒”，原来是我们到厦门了。一下高铁，好多人啊，爸爸带着我们去坐公交车，一会儿就到我们住的酒店了。酒店里好漂亮啊，就在海边，出门就是沙滩。我想马上就去沙滩上玩。我妈妈不同意，说：“现在太热了，要晚一点才可以去。”于是，我和弟弟就在房间里看电视。

终于妈妈让我去海边了，我开心极了，不断在沙滩边奔跑，一边跑一边捡贝壳。我捡了好多好多各种形状的贝壳，有扇形的、海螺形的……。我把他们装在一个袋子里带回酒店。晚上睡觉前，我和爸爸说：“明天早上我要看日出，你要叫醒我。”爸爸说：“好的，那你得马上睡觉。”我很快就乖乖的睡着了。

正当我沉浸在甜甜的梦乡时，有人推我，原来是爸爸。我赶紧起床穿衣服，和爸爸跑到海边。等我们到海边时，天还没亮呢，海风轻轻地吹到我的身上，舒服极了。我和爸爸静静地站在沙滩上，凝望着大海的另一边，不一会儿，海边露出一片红霞。“爸爸，爸爸，快看，太阳出来了”我兴奋地大声喊着。“嘘，别出声，用心感受”，爸爸说。很快，太阳就升起来了，她火红火红的，外边还乏着橙黄色的光，她把阳光洒下大地，让我们充满光明，大自然真是太神奇了。

今天，阳光明媚，二伯带我、堂姐、二伯母、堂弟、爷爷、奶奶去厦门方特玩。

到了方特，我们去坐山车；去坐海盗船；去鬼屋；去看水母之家；去看女娲补天；去看哪吒闹海……真好玩啊！

我们先去坐过山车，做好安全措施，“轰隆――”的一声，过山车启动了。突然，过山车象离弦的弓箭向前奔跑，我就像中了邪一样，风灌满我的嘴巴，我的脸顿时鼓的像蛤蟆一样，我害怕的情不自禁的叫起来。“嗦――”的一声，我还没反应过来，过山车就已经到了终点。

然后，就去坐海盗船，海盗船先是慢慢的摇来摇去，突然间很快，快得我们快要飞出来了，我的五官内脏快要掉出来了。

最后去鬼屋，走进那阴森森的鬼屋。忽然，吹了一阵大风，堂姐“啊――”的一声，把我吓得心“蹦蹦”的直跳。这时，棺材里跳出许多鬼，堂姐大叫起来“鬼呀！救命呀――”我吓的差点尿裤子了。调皮的堂弟“呜呜――”的叫吓别人。二伯让我们跟鬼拍照留纪念，我心想：“这里那么恐怖，谁敢去拍照啊！”走着走着，我非常害怕，就想出了一个馊主意，我闭着眼睛，拉着二伯母的衣服向前走。快要走出鬼屋的时候，我的脚碰到了一个东西，我睁开眼睛一看，一边大叫起来：“有蛇呀！有蛇呀……”一边跑出鬼屋。

玩着玩着，转眼间天就黑了，我们依依不舍的回家了。真希望下次还能来厦门方特玩阿！

来到厦大门口，环视周围，人流如潮。来自全国各地的男男女女老老少少，尽管天气是如此炎热，但他们始终无法抵挡厦大散发出的无穷魅力。在沸腾的人群中，依然可以看见“厦门大学”四个字不偏不倚地写在校园大门的正上方。

走进厦大，放眼望去，首先映入眼帘的是一棵棵繁茂美丽的树挺立在路两旁。树干粗壮，树枝纵横，那稠密的树叶，伸展到了阳光四射的路中央，为行人增添了几分凉意。灿烂多彩的阳光透过树枝，地上出现了光和影的匆匆变化。在树底下，无论是漫步还是看书，都很惬意。

往左拐，转眼就来到一条充满诗意的林荫小道上。小道边树茂草密，我在绿树掩映间，隐隐约约地看见了镶嵌在厦大的璀璨明珠——芙蓉湖。俗话说，芙蓉者，出淤泥而不染，濯清涟而不妖，想必这便是芙蓉湖的含义。更何况芙蓉湖乃厦大灵秀之源。柔风掺和着斜阳照耀着芙蓉湖，芙蓉湖上熠熠生辉，美不胜收。湖里边，群鱼穿梭，翔鸟嬉戏，成了一个天然的俱乐部。

继而向左拐，便来到石子小路上。一棵苍天老树挺立在眼前。粗壮的树干，纵横的树枝——尽管这棵树早已饱经风霜了，但树枝上依然冒出了许多小嫩芽——风一吹，轻轻摇曳。许多游客都坐在树下小憩、乘凉。

走着走着，绕着绕着，我们便来到了全长为1.01公里、中国最文艺的隧道——芙蓉隧道。隧道又称中国最长的涂鸦隧道。芙蓉隧道里，有风格各异，色彩缤纷的涂鸦，由厦大学子一笔一笔描绘而成。这为阴凉幽静的隧道增添了无限生机。其中，我最喜欢的涂鸦要属题目为“绿里子情”的涂鸦，副文“倾听荒野之声，传递绿色梦想。”我喜欢这幅涂鸦的颜色，但我更喜欢这幅涂鸦震撼人心的倡语：热爱自然，保护自然，亲近自然。……最后，我想说，厦大真美啊，但是，厦大又不美，你看那些涂鸦上，都记载着某些游客们的“伟大历史”：“某某某到此一游，”“我来了，”“厦大真美”……这样的例子数不胜数。游客们啊，厦大真美，你们来了，就不美了……（单指在涂鸦上写字的游客们）

So my friend has asked me to write to you... I have to confess its been

hard to know what to say. Mainly because like most adults I feel preposterous

asking anything of you because our time with you is surely done. Now we get our

own presents, control our own fates, take responsibility for our own actions,

and live in the world we have created... so its not for us to turn around and

plead for your help with the environment, the migrant crisis, the NHS,

education, food banks, human rights, fundamentalism and wars. Though God knows

we need all the help we can get with all these man-made problems and more.

And its not that you arent compassionate and full of joy. Youre great.

In spite of you being changed into different colours for corporations and being

bastardised to represent materialism gone mad - despite probably originating in

some season based pagan druid ritual a million thought miles from requests for

spontaneously combusting hoverboards... Kidadults cynically pointing this out

after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyones precious time.

Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some

magic in a world where the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful

imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking.

This is what Id like to ask you to help with. A little more time for

children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract

them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their

breath rather than sob with their tears. Especially those caring for family

members, or suffering illness, hunger or poverty. Especially those hiding in

buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a

boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their

worlds with a moment of joy and hope.

When I think about it youve got it tough this year... And when I really

think about it Im not sure that asking you for a lightsaber and getting one

(not that I ever did by the way) is equatable with controlling the space time

continuum and making the good of childhood last a little longer.

But you do inspire wonder and awe amongst those that write you letters and

go to sleep hoping there might be a new object in their possession come dawn.

You inspire good behaviour and, at least in my memory, some desperate last

minute attempts to redeem bad behaviour so as not to be overlooked. Spare a

thought too for those millions who want to write to you but through illiteracy

cant. Hear their words and help to give them the time and chance to learn how

to read and write so they can better their lives and escape their impoverished

beginnings.

I feel a little sorry for you. And I guess Ive done exactly what I said I

wouldnt... Asked you to help with adult problems and solve some of the greatest

worries we have for our children. I promise to leave some extra port and mince

pies for you!

我的朋友叫我写信给你……我真的不知道该对你说什么。主要因为跟大部分成年人一样，我觉得跟你要东西似乎很荒谬，因为我们和你已经没有交集了。如今我们自己给自己买礼物，掌控自己的命运，为自己的行为负责，并且生活在我们自己创造的世界里……所以我们没有理由找你帮忙解决这些问题，比如环境问题、移民危机、NHS医保系统、教育、食物银行、人权、原教旨主义和战争。尽管上帝知道，我们需要各种援助去解决这些人为的危机和麻烦。

我并不是说你没有同情心或不乐观。你很伟大。尽管你被各种大公司篡改的面貌全非;被妖魔化以代表那疯狂的拜金主义——简直像异教徒的仪式那样，每到这个季节就要用礼物填满欲望，比如那种可能会自燃的悬滑板。那些童心未泯的成年人竟然生气地认为你是在浪费每个人的宝贵时间，却忘了他们自己也曾相信你。因为你不属于成年人，而是属于孩子们的。孩子们需要一些魔力，因为这个世界上，天真与责任、欢乐的想象力与冷漠以及成人障碍之间的界限正在不断的缩小。

这才是我想求你援助的。让孩子们的童年更长久些吧。延长那充满魔力与乐趣的时刻。让孩童们忽略这疯狂又现实的世界，让他们拥有欢笑而非流泪。尤其是那些过早需要承担家庭责任或身患疾病的孩子们，又或者是那些遭受饥饿与贫穷的孩子们。尤其是那些躲在位于枪林弹雨的建筑中、或者是那些怀着恐惧与寒冷不断颤抖、被塞进船里以逃离灾难和战争的孩子们。请你用希望和欢乐照亮他们的世界。

当我想到今年你处境艰难时……当我仔细思考，我不确定这样是否合理：即找你要一把光剑(虽然我并不曾得到过)来控制时空介质，从而使得美好的童年时光再久一点。

但对于那些给你写信、期待着你会在天明前送给他们礼物而入睡的孩子们，你带给他们好奇和敬畏。你激发了善行，至少在我的记忆中，一些孩子在最后一刻试图弥补过错，以避免因此受罚。还希望你体谅一下数百万想跟你写信却不会写字的人。请你倾听他们的声音，给他们时间和机会去学习读书和写字，这样他们就可以过上更好的生活，逃离贫困的处境。

我对你感到一丝歉意。我好像做了我明明说自己不会做的事……我希望你能帮忙解决成年人造成的麻烦，缓解我们对孩子的某些担忧。我保证，我会给你留超多肉馅饼的!!
