厦门的夏天，最令人流连忘返的地方是公园!我常到我们桂花小学背后的雕塑公园玩。那里树林茂密、绿草如茵、鲜花盛开。我们穿着短裤、背心在那里追逐打闹，全身汗流、气呼气喘、多么快活!我喜欢在夕阳西下的时候，与爷爷一起登上雕塑公园的最高峰欣赏日落，倾听着鸟儿归巢的鸣叫，望着太阳像又大又园的火球慢慢西沉，多么心旷神怡!

终于到厦门的区域了。厦门四面都被海包围着，所以我们很容易就可以看到海。车在路上走，而路下就是蔚蓝的大海，时不时就有一辆载客观光的游轮渡过。这里很干净，一路驶来，都未曾发现一个垃圾，但厦门让母亲所着迷的是这里的绿化。两到马路中间的绿化每过一个阶段都有不同的植物和造型。而且这些植物也不是富丽堂皇的，只是山中野花的巧妙搭配，不显杂乱，又增添了几许玲珑，让人百看不厌!

宋代以前，鼓浪屿还是水草丰茂、渺无人烟的小岛，名圆沙洲。宋末元初，对岸李姓族人上岛开发，逐渐形成聚落。明末清初，民族英雄郑成功屯兵鼓浪屿训练水师，于1662年挥师东征收复被荷兰殖民者侵占38年之久的台湾岛。 **战争以来，一百余年鼓浪屿发展的独特历史，使鼓痕屿形成了具有浓厚人文景观、复杂历史情趣、诸多国家风格、中西合璧的“万国建筑博览会”。 解放后，市人民政府和鼓浪屿区政府接管了部分大型建筑，经过改造、装修，部分公共性场所。例如，原来巨大无比的“白宫式”建筑——林鹤寿的“八卦楼”改为鼓浪屿风琴博物馆。很多较大型公馆、别墅的不经意创造出来的造型经过几次经意的装修、改造，已经改作合其造型、功能的建筑物并且成为鼓浪屿上有意义、有标志性的建筑。鼓浪屿因人均钢琴和小提琴拥有量居全国之首而被誉为“琴岛”、“音乐之岛”。而因岛内面积1．87平方公里的全步行方式被称为“步行岛”。鼓浪屿成为拥有人文景观、建筑景观、艺术与风景旅游、历史与音乐等多种精晶荟萃的著名岛屿。

我听我妈妈讲过这样一个故事,一个真实的故事:我们小区有一个清洁工,这个清洁工工作一丝不苟,凡是她走过的地方,总是干干净净,不留一点灰尘.她非常敬业,不管刮风下雨都要工作,可就在不久前,她突然得了绝症------鼻癌,病魔纠缠着这个50多岁的老奶奶,老奶奶的丈夫在很久以前就死了,他儿子正在大学上课,无人照顾的老奶奶也没多少财产,可她还是拖着病痛每天一大早起来给整个小区打扫卫生,这种爱岗敬业的精神深深地打动了我.

记得有一次,我去书店看书,刚一走到楼下,我就看到那位老奶奶正一边扶着墙一边整理着垃圾桶,我禁不住流下泪水;垃圾桶这么脏,老奶奶却一点也不怕,只见她满头大汗,嘴里上气不接下气,我看她这么辛苦,就叫她在边上休息一下,没想到她竟然笑着对我说:“小朋友，谢谢你，可如果我休息了，遭殃的可是所有居民，所以，我不能休息……

我们全小区的居民都很喜欢她的品质，纷纷给她捐献医疗费，这位老奶奶心灵的光芒足以打动所有人，美，就在身边！
