spontaneously combusting hoverboards... Kidadults cynically pointing this out

after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyones precious time.

Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some

magic in a world where the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful

imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking.

This is what Id like to ask you to help with. A little more time for

children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract

them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their

breath rather than sob with their tears. Especially those caring for family

members, or suffering illness, hunger or poverty. Especially those hiding in

buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a

boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their

worlds with a moment of joy and hope.

When I think about it youve got it tough this year... And when I really

think about it Im not sure that asking you for a lightsaber and getting one

(not that I ever did by the way) is equatable with controlling the space time

continuum and making the good of childhood last a little longer.

But you do inspire wonder and awe amongst those that write you letters and

go to sleep hoping there might be a new object in their possession come dawn.

You inspire good behaviour and, at least in my memory, some desperate last

minute attempts to redeem bad behaviour so as not to be overlooked. Spare a

thought too for those millions who want to write to you but through illiteracy

cant. Hear their words and help to give them the time and chance to learn how

to read and write so they can better their lives and escape their impoverished

beginnings.

I feel a little sorry for you. And I guess Ive done exactly what I said I

wouldnt... Asked you to help with adult problems and solve some of the greatest

worries we have for our children. I promise to leave some extra port and mince

pies for you!

初二的晚上，我们接到通知说去厦门，那晚我们整理好衣服与行礼，甜甜的睡了，一大早我们起床了，穿上新衣服，我们还带了帐篷，爸爸说打算露营，我们姐姐又一阵开心，我们出发了，因为厦门有点远，我们打算在福州过夜，爸爸说福州是个大城市，那晚我们找了酒店，放下行礼，打算夜游福州城，那里满目的高楼大厦，霓红灯美观又大方，那里的一切，都显得简洁又大方，漂亮又奢华，第二天我们直接去了厦门，第一眼厦门的跨海大桥很美，很长，很宽，而且还有好几架大桥，我一直想去厦门大学去看看，爸爸直接去了厦大，厦大很大，从外观上看也很美，他们有自已的观光沙滩，美极了，逛了一阵，感受着浓浓的书香气，

我们去了海边，那里全是人，有卖面的，有卖贝壳，有卖记念品的，还有卖玩具的，应有尽有，我们看到的海有点雾蒙蒙，却也很美，水涨到岸上，可以任意玩，中午时候我们吃了姜母鸭，味道特好，我们去找酒店，然后店员说小孩子得有身份证或户口本才给住，那里的规定是统一的，可我们别的带了，就这个没带，所以那晚别想找到住的酒店，我们想搭帐篷，可见天气不好，怕下雨，于是我们吃完晚饭回家了，

厦门很美，我喜欢！

哈哈，终于放寒假了！我们怀着激动的心情，登上了去厦门的“和谐号”动车。

虽说到厦门的路程有6个小时，但一不小心在我们几个小屁孩的嬉笑玩耍中竟然忘了时间，不留神间，厦门，就展现在我们面前。

住在厦门的这三天，我们在热闹非凡的“美食一条街”品尝过厦门美味的特色小吃；在漂亮的乐器店里，选购了自己心爱的风雅四孔笛和尤里克克小吉他；在有趣的海滩边，拣拾了许多精美的贝壳……但我最忘不了的是厦门的一座小岛——鼓浪屿！

Part1雄伟日光岩

我们慢慢地走着，来到了日光岩的山脚下。正前面，一座山威武地站立着，中间是一个由三块巨大无比的石头自然形成的一个好大的空隙，就像一座透明的门。

走过那扇“门”，继续往里走，日光岩显得越来越美。随着山势，小路弯弯曲曲的，踩在上面会发出“踏踏”的声音，使日光岩显得更加幽静。

山顶终于到了！我们向远处眺望，厦门的景象，大半收在眼底。绿色的树木映衬着红色的、黄色的琉璃瓦，金黄的海滩衬托着碧蓝碧蓝的大海，……真是人间仙境啊！

下山时，我们看见一些金属做的人在“赌饼”，听导游说，饼最多的人就是“将军”，而谁摸了摸“将军”的手，谁就会成“状元”。听到这话，小朋友们都争先恐后地去摸手，人人都想成状元呐！

Part2古董钢琴馆

钢琴——乐器之王，你看见过古董钢琴吗？爬过日光岩，我们来到古董钢琴馆。这里有二十多架漂亮的古钢琴，我最喜欢的是双人钢琴了。

双人钢琴成直角形，在别处似乎没有见过。再加上王冠似的书架，散发出了阵阵幽香。这架钢琴是黑褐色的，显得古朴端庄。它虽然很小，是现代钢琴的一半大，但音色纯美悦耳。

瞧这儿！一架架精致的钢琴小模型摆在我们面前，有洁白如玉的三角钢琴，有黑色、褐色的普通钢琴……各式各样的，真让人看得眼花缭乱，赞不绝口！我赶紧掏钱买了一架白色的双人钢琴，抚摸着光滑的琴键，我的心里漾起了快乐的音符。

Part3可爱小海滩

走过古董钢琴馆，我们就去“亲亲大海”了。我脱下鞋子，赤着脚跑向沙滩，快乐地打滚，让身上沾满了沙子。玩够了，我们跑向大海，浪花姑娘从远处急急地赶来，只为了迎接我们这群小客人，轻轻拍打着我们地小脚丫……

另一个精彩的地方就是海洋馆，最引人注目的是“巨龙”了，它有两台电视机那么大呢！二楼有许多水族箱，其中有一个居然装着食人鱼的标本，它的牙齿又尖又多，看起来真吓人。食人鱼的旁边是一个巨大的抹香鲸标本，大约有30米长呢！接着我们又来到了海底隧道，透过玻璃可以看到各种各样，大小不一的鲨鱼，它们在水里游来游去，似乎在寻找食物。看到这么多的鱼，让人收获真多。

海底世界真是太有趣了！通过参观海底世界，我们可以认识形形色色的鱼，增长了见识。

You cango boating, go fishing and have a picnic there. It is really a good place tospend your holiday. Besides, you can go and visit Heyuan Museum. There you cansee a lot of dinosaur egg fossils. When winter comes, especially the cold wind blows, I dont want to go out

of the house. Though the outdoor activity is limited, I still can find a lot of

things to do. The happiest thing for me is to eat hot pot with my families, at

the same time, we watch TV show. Doing these two things together can help us

better communicate and enjoy the family hour. The second thing I want to do is

to stay in bed and play computer. The warmness makes me feel so comfortable. I

will bring some snacks and then enjoy watching movies. Staying indoors also can

make me happy.

说实话，这次去厦门旅游，最让我记忆深刻，是住那家五星级酒店：海悦山庄。

在动车上度过了无聊乏味10个小时后，我和爸爸妈妈一起来到了美丽“海上花园”：厦门。海中有岛，岛中有海。厦门就是这么一个被海水环绕美丽城市，我们酒店就紧紧挨着大海，这就是我喜欢这个酒店第一个原因：环境美好，紧紧靠海。

我一进这个酒店，就被那豪华设施所牢牢吸引，充足冷气让人心旷神怡，再加上一些淡淡花香，让人无可挑剔！不错！设施豪华，冷气充足，这就是我喜欢它第二个原因。

当然，前面是我自己感受，但只要住进这个酒店人，都会感受到一个铁定事实，这里服务态度极其热情。每次我们出门，都会有一个服务员笑脸相迎，说：“早上好！”或：“晚上好！”他们不允许走廊里有一个灯是坏，假如有，会立刻赶过来，认真修好。这次去厦门旅游日子恰好经过爸爸生日，生日那天，等我们玩完回来时，没想到酒店服务员已经悄悄把房间布置了一下，用玫瑰花瓣在床上摆出了“生日快乐”这几个字，还用一条毛巾翻成了一头大象，另外还送了一个生日蛋糕+蜡烛！两张床上以及沙发都摆上了气球！态度热情，服务周到，这是第三个理由。

每当我吃晚饭时，都会看到一些不一样厦门特色小吃，不像别饭店，永远老一套，这里没有特别奢侈菜，但每样我们去品尝时，都烧得不错。特色小吃，应有尽有。这是第四个理由。

这就是我第一天吃住在厦门情景，真，我对这个酒店和餐饮很满意，这让我对厦门留下了极好印象！

今年暑假，我和妈妈乘飞机游览了美丽的海滨之城——厦门。

第一次坐飞机，非常兴奋。飞机在云层中穿梭，云团触手可及，像一簇簇各种各样的棉花糖，让人真想捏一把。很快我们就下了飞机，看到了这座期待已久的海滨城市。这里空气清新，天很高也很蓝。大楼鳞次栉比，随处可见。一阵海风吹来，我马上就闻到了大海的味道。

当天下午，我们参观了著名的厦门大学。大学依山傍水，处处彰显灵气，能在这样的大学上课是很多学子的梦想。中午我在校园的芙蓉餐厅吃过午饭，就走上芙蓉隧道游览。隧道两侧有浓厚的艺术气息，有许多我喜欢的卡通人物。对面就是南普陀寺，那里风景优美，树木繁茂。

第二天上午，我坐上游船眺望着无边无际的大海。海天一色，我分不清哪儿是天，哪儿是海。远远向海岸望去，依稀能看见民族英雄郑成功的雕像矗立在海边。下午来到最有名气的景点鼓浪屿。登上鼓浪屿，我和小伙伴迫不及待地脱了鞋子，光着脚丫，踩在松软的沙滩上，尽情地在浅海处嬉戏着，我沉浸在大海的抚摸中，根本顾不上裤子已经湿了。走在岛上的小路上，看不到任何车辆，也不见吸烟的人，鼓浪屿是名副其实的无烟岛。天渐渐黑了，鼓浪屿亮了起来，整个小岛变成了光的世界，灯的海洋。海边的别墅灯火通明，和海边灯光交相辉映。霓虹灯下的厦门真像一颗璀璨的明珠，镶嵌在祖国的大地上。

第三天，我们坐大巴车来到附近永定县的土楼。一座座用泥土、碎石和树枝建成的土楼，有圆形的、方形的、楼中楼、圈中圈，它具有防水、防火和防盗的作用。土楼最年轻的有50多岁，最古老的也有300多年的历史。土楼历史悠久，大多数经过3代人的努力，历经80多年才建造而成，这不禁让我感叹古代人的聪明才智。

这次厦门之旅让我难忘，更让我收获甚多，回味无穷。

家乡是一个有非常多大河的地方，所以平时见到水的机会有非常多，但是又其实可以和海相提并论的。那一层一层渗透进去的蓝色，多看几眼仿佛就会醉一样。厦门的海和海南的海以及连云港的海都是不一样的。

海南的海像小姑娘一样，清澈透明，据说能见到海水以下30米，但是好像非常金贵一样，一碰就会碎，所以只可以远观不能亵玩；连云港的海，感觉像北方汉子，粗狂雄壮，去的时候正值8月份，但是炎热的天气并不能阻挡海浪的气势，一股接一股的浪，不断的扑过来，还把一个非常大的水母给冲上岸了，所以不可下海游泳，顺带说一句，水母真的非常大，还多人去抢，可惜新鲜的水母不能吃。厦门的海就像一个羞羞答答的小姑娘，欲拒还迎，非常可爱的样子。可惜现在太冷了，否则真想下海去游一会儿。说来可惜，去了这三个地方，一次都没有游泳，看来只有等下次了！

出名的馅饼，一去就吃了好多，有水果馅和肉馅、绿豆馅等等，油非常多，一个还行，两个就挺不住了，三个就彻底被打败了！最近胖了好多，回去小雪和桃子又得说我不注意控制了！哎！往事不堪回首，吃饭中！
