+ 加入清单In the Northern Street of Paris, there sat an old man with white hair and a
stick. He was blind, and nobody wanted to help him. One day a noble man came to
this street and saw the old man with blind eyes, he asked, “Excuse me, don’t you
bother? But, I just want to ask how much did you get today this morning?” “Oh! I
didn’t get anything!” cried the old man in a sad tune, and then the noble man
realized that next to the old man was a cardboard paper, and on were the word,
“I can’t see anything!” and also realized that the people who passed this place
will just look at the paper, smiled; and went away to do their own things. Since
this man was a noble man, he knew what to do to make everybody happy.
And so he took all the money he had in him which was $12, and placed it in
a bowl near him; and then he took out his pen which he had in his hand all
along, and wrote the some words in front of the words that are already on; and
these were the words, “The spring has come, but;” these words, and then went
away. In the evening, the noble man came visiting this place again, he saw the
old man sitting down as usual and asked him, “Well how much did you get this
afternoon then?”
The old man smiled, “Noble man, I don’t know what you did but the people
that gave me money this afternoon were so many that even god couldn’t count
them!” and then the noble looked at the bowl with money and stroked his beard
while he smiled.
“The spring has come, but I can’t see anything!” these words could be so
much use, it might produce that the noble man in this story has technology,
which made the poor blind man happy.
Although this noble man which we are talking about helped the old man, but
he also remembered what the other people did. People asked him many other
questions, and the noble man of course answered them all. Some of the people in
town that didn’t want to help the blinded old man were locked up in jail for
their cruelty instead of kindness.
The moral of this story is, when you see somebody that is in need, go and
help them and you will feel better in the end.

+ 加入清单Im sure everybody is interested in dream, so I will share a story with
you.
When we talk about dreams,we are so excited. We all have our own dreams, some
want to be teachers, others want to be doctors, others want to be
scientists. However, not all dreams can come true,as people always give them up
for some reason.
A dream is to a man what wings are to a bird. With a dream in the deep
heart`s core, a man is spontaneously driven to hitch his wagon to a star. A
dream is an inexhaustible source of energy that keeps our enthusiasm burning,
and kindles our desire to enhance our spiritual cultivation, refine our
character, and upgrade our quality of life. A life without a dream is like a
bird with broken wings, confined to a cage and oblivious of what lies beyond the
range of its vision. On the contrary, a man with a dream is like a warrior armed
with ambition, foresight and gallantry, daring to step into an unknown domain to
make a journey of adventure. It is dream that adds fullness, variety, and spice
to our life and makes it worth living.
I would like to take Liu Xiang as an example.Liu,as the first chinese man
to win an Olympic track and field medal, dreamed of defending his Olympic title
on home soil.To achieve this dream,he was bathed with sweat on the training
ground every day. What’s more, now and then he suffered injuries. However, neither
the injury nor the pressure has prevented him from striving to achieve the
goal.Eventually,he kept or even renewed his record in the men’s 110-meter hurdle
with his perseverance.
It is true that barriers may sometimes stand in the way of your dreams, but
remember success is hiding behind them.Instead of making dozens of excuses for
your failure, just think about Liu Xiang’s story, hold on your dreams and never
give up.
If you do not want your dreams to come to naught, then hold fast to your
dreams and never give up.Just as the saying goes,”Do not,for one repulse, forgo
the purpose that you resolved to effect.”
If you can do the following points, your dreams will come true one
day.First, plant your dream in a fertilized soil.Second, water it with your
diligence and give it the best food----knowledge.Third,remove the seeds of
unhappiness for they can destory your dream. The most important is let the seed
of your dream enjoy the beautiful sunshine,so what it can grow well. And however
hard the situation is,o not give it up and always give it your best care. Then
you will get a good harvest in the end.
Dreams are what we pursue for a lifetime, with many dreams,we have
motivation to fight for our life. The opposite side of dream is reality. We have
to face reality everyday, reality is what we perceive in our life.Reality always
frustrates us to be successful. We need to balance them.

How are you doing?
I am writing this letter to say "thank you." First and foremost, it is clear that you, just like "our foreign mother", were very patient to us. Additionally, needless to say, you taught me a lot, not only English knowledge but also your life wisdom;consequently, all of us have fallen in love with English and study. Last but certainly not least, there is no doubt that we had a great time together, which we will keep in mind forever.
By the way, I cant wait to tell you something new about my class. After you left for the America, we had an English competition. We all did very well, using the knowledge you told us. No one can deny you helped us so much!
Sue, can you give me some information about your life in America? I miss you so much. I am looking forward to your early reply!
Best wishes!

+ 加入清单Everybody knows that people often wrote stories for fun, but this story
tells how a little boy hates writing stories, but he then learned a valuable
lesson on a dangerous adventure.
Once, there was a boy called Moni, Moni was a very cute little boy, and was
always proud to show off at some time. Moni’s mother loved baking pies, but she
always scolded Moni for eating them without her permission.
One day his mother said that he was old enough to write stories. Moni had
no idea what the word story means, but mother said, “It is to write interesting
tales of children who goes on adventures.” She said to Moni. Moni always thought
that playing was fun, but he also heard her say that writing stories was more
fun. But as he began to first word of his story, he began to feel bored. “This
is no fun!” he cried, “It is even more bored than going to school and learn
lessons!”
Moni did not like writing stories, but his mother waited until he had
finished his first story; then she will let him go outside and play. It all
happened that Moni knew every secret about the house; he could easily find
another way out. And so he ran up to the attic, and started to crawl out between
two logs. Moni got out, and saw a beautiful pine tree; He climbed up, made a
platform, and started to feast upon the fruits.
Moni was having such a great time, that he had no idea that a pond was
nearby; and he had no idea, that there was a crocodile down waiting for him to
come down so that he could feast upon Moni.
Moni was eating the last few fruits, and then he got thirsty; so he looked
down, then he found the crocodile. Moni had no choice but to cry out for help.
“Help!” he cried, “Help!” Moni’s mother heard his cries, and ran out into the
garden. There, she saw the crocodile; and Moni up in the tree. “Hold on, there
Moni!” she cried, “I shall save you!” She ran inside the house, she used a
stick, and killed the crocodile as he was looking up. And then Moni got down
from the tree, and confessed his fault.
When he got back to his room, he began to write stories; he figured that it
as much more fun to write stories, than it is to be free. Of course, he wrote
the adventure he had, and how his mom saved him. And you could probably guess,
that the 《Three Little Pigs》is a story that he wrote. And he was soon known as
the great writer, “Moni Frank”.

how time flies! it is ahnost a month since i arrived here and began a new life as a university student. but all this time, i have been missing you and my dear school. i just can not tell you how grateful i am to you for the help you gave me during my preparation for the university entrance examination. now i will tell you something about my university and life here.
our university lies at the foot of mount zijin, in the eastern suburbs of nanjing city. the campus is very big, with a big sportsground surrounded by lots of modern classroom buildings. what have impressed me most are the big library and the well-equipped language lab. our campus is also very beautiful. there are quite a few well-kept gardens. every road is lined with trees. how happy we are to study in such an enviromnent!
life here is both busy and coloufful. we have classes every morning. in the afternoon, we either work in the laboratory or do assignments in the classroom. in the evening, we can go to talks or do reading in the library. this keeps us occupied most of the week. but on weekends, there are always many entertainments. we may go to the club to have a dance or go to the cinema to see a fihn. sometimes we may also hold a party to practise oral english. in a word, we like our life here very much.
are you still teaching one of the senior classes? i really think that the students in your class are lucky for they will certainly benefit greatly under your instruction. but take care not to overwork yourself. i do hope you will have a chance of visiting me here.

I’m a builder. When other builders and I laid a foundation of a building,
we dug out some ancient cultural relics.
At that time, some people suggested we sell them so that we could get some
money. But I didn’t agree with them because I think these cultural relics are
our country’s wealth.
As Chinese people, we should protect them. So I told the other builders we
shouldn’t sell them, because cultural relics represent a country’s culture and
history. Besides, we should donate these culture relics to our country in case
they might be sold abroad secretly. We shouldn’t lose them.

+ 加入清单Dear teacher takong
Hello, I wish you health and happiness in the New Year!
It is said that one day is a teacher and "life is a father". You have
taught me hard for four years. The knowledge I learned in my four years of
Enlightenment has benefited me a lot. I regard you as "a mother for life". I
often think of three old people -- father, mother and you.
Think of your efforts to us, todays teachers will pay, but their
remuneration is high to the sky. Students who are not good at learning can make
up lessons. In the past four years, there are no repeaters in our class. It was
an excellent class with red scarf in the county. At that time, it was worthy of
the name. It is not like that we have to evaluate what we want to send from East
to west. At that time, there were a lot of poor students. Some students couldnt
even pay the tuition fee of 1 yuan and 6 jiao. You paid it for them. Todays
teachers are impatient to see many poor students.
When you were born to build a new brother, the students invited to see you.
Everyone gathered together a few cents to buy two catties and dried it. You said
that was not good. As long as you had this intention, you would be very happy
and asked everyone to eat it. At that time, you were not sensible and greedy, so
they ate more than half of those sent to you. Now I think of it as ridiculous,
naive and lovely. You told us to listen to the substitute teacher and ask the
monitor to take some poor students to your home with their homework books. You
patiently tell them the reasons why they are not good at their studies, and tell
them about it. An inch of time is worth an inch of money, and an inch of money
is hard to buy an inch of time. If you fail to pass the grade for another year,
its a pity that you have given them supplementary lessons. In order to
consolidate the results, you let the students with good grades help one poor
student, This kind of professionalism has infected us and sowed good seeds in
our hearts. Even when we are adults, we are very dedicated to our work, but not
as good as you.
You said that you often have classmates to see you, said that we have
teacher-student feelings - this is your love for us, so we can not forget you,
so we have to visit you. We know how many years ago you were named a model
teacher, and the students are happy for you; you deserve it!
What moved me all my life is that you came to my sick mother! When you
heard that my mother was seriously ill, you brought the expensive nutriment and
asked to find our home. We all thank you very much. It has been 30 years since
you taught me. Is there any such teacher now? In addition to visiting my parents
every time I go home to visit you, no gift has been given to you. A primary
school teacher remembers the students she taught for decades, Im afraid not
many; Im not a celebrity, Im not a big money, I dont have an official
position, Im a very ordinary person, teacher; you are my cultural benefactor,
the most respected person in our family, when I write this letter to you, my
mother will be happy in heaven, because in her illness, you go to see her, she
is happy for a long time.
New years day, I wish the teacher to enjoy the happiness of his family,
students, you study hard, do not understand the place to ask me, I am a teacher,
"can not mislead peoples children" with this sentence will always linger in my
ears. Teacher, you can live a long life. Now you are 80 years old and still in
good health. I am happy for you. I will not forget you. I will go to see
you.
I wish the teacher health, happiness and longevity
Your student Lu Guiling
篇20:以成功为话题的高一英语
全文共 2150 字
+ 加入清单When it comes to success, different people have different opinions about
what makes it come true. Some people regard hard-working as an essential quality
to success while others believe being clever would lead to success. From my
point of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those
who want to make an achievement.
Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people
want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal
and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people
who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I
think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have
perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if
we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the
world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of
thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the
999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that
perseverance produces success.
Secondly, there is also a kind of people who are born with cleverness, I
think they are lucky. Nevertheless, if they don’t make a hard work on their way
to their goal, they, absolutely, will become loser. Whether we are gifted for
intelligent, we must be hard-working so as to success. I regard hard-working as
an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As
for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times,
there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his
father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to
show around while never let the boy learned anything. When the boy grew up,
people forgot him because he lost the ability to compose poems and became
ordinary as others. From this matter, we can see that only by hard-working can
we get knowledge and make a good future.
Anyway, I think perseverance and hard-working are both important in our way
to success for they enhance us and produce success.
