As is known to all， food is a priority for the mon people.Recently，

however， reports about food problems have often been seen in the newspapers，

showing that people have always been concerned about what they eat every day.

The reason for this problem is that some of the food producers are too fond of

making money， leading to the result that they use whatever will make the food

look good or taste better without considering the bad consequences。 This is not

normal because people just cannot live without eating anything.

So we should take all the measures necessary to forbid the food producers

to make food that is not safe enough. Laws should be strengthened and the

government should have more control over these producers。 Only when people are

no longer worried about whether their food is safe or not can they enjoy a

better life.

First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness,

wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to

president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of

despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”

Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the

2008 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time.

How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising

equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of

modern gyms which are under construction.

Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the

Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people

will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract

them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment,

for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of

environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give

a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth

with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many

advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone

should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any

special meaning to you?”

For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift.

Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the

love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain

is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming

his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning,

however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games wwaving its hand. After

chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic

Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort

to others.

At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and

everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and

give a big smile to challenges.

I’m writing to complain about a typewriter I bought seven months ago.

In February of 2001 I bought a Jones Typewriter, Portable Special Model, at

ABC Store, I had used it only a few days when the space bar broke.

I took it to a local shop, they told me it was factory defect and suggest I

take it back to ABC. ABC accepted the machine and sent the part in. I waited

three months, and since your company did not send a replacement, they let me

have the space bar from another typewriter. Now, six months later, it has broken

again. I took it back to ABC. They are no longer carrying your typewriter, but

they assured me that the guarantee is still good and suggested that I write you

for further instructions as to what steps to take.

I will appreciate anything you can do to help us on this matter.

Our great motherland is one of the largest countries in the world. It has a

population of over twelve hundred million. Beijing is its capital.

We Chinese people are brave and hardworking. We have a glorious

revolutionary tradition. We drove out all the enemies. In 1949 the Peoples

Republic of China was founded. Since then great changes have taken place in our

motherland. Now our country is getting stronger and stronger. We Chinese people

are working hard to make our motherland into a powerful country.

Children are regarded as “flower of our motherland”. In our country

children are taken very good care of. Special laws have been issuedto protect

them. Thousands of schools have been set up to make education available to all

children. The Party and the government pay special attention to the growth of

children because they represent our bright future.

There was once a little girl that wanted to live in peace, but she couldn’t

since her house or should I say family is very, very poor.

One day the little girl called Anna went to pick mushrooms in the forest

with her friends. She picked plenty of mushrooms and walked deep into the

forest. It gradually became dark, and Anna wanted to go home, she called her

friends; but they were nowhere to be found. She wanted to go home on her own,

she walked and walked into the forest; it seemed as if it had no end. At last,

she found a tiny little house, Anna walked close to it.

She knocked at the door but there was no answer, she knocked again, but

there was still no answer; at last she quietly opened the door, and inside she

found a warm fire place. She walked to the fire place, and sat there. Before one

minute, a bear walked in, he saw Anna; and said, “What are you doing in my

house?” “My name is Anna, and I am lost…” “Oh,” said the bear, “In that case you

can stay here; but you must prepare the food and dust the house in return…”

One day Anna baked a tray of apple tarts, she put them in a big basket and

said to the bear; “Oh bear, could you deliver these apple tarts to my parents?”

“You have done a great job so I will agree: I shall send these apple tarts to

your parents. I’ll just fetch my walking stick and head out immediately…”

“Remember bear, if you eat one tart, I shall know immediately;” the bear went to

fetch his walking stick, in the meantime;Anna hid herself in the basket, and the

bear set off from home.

He walked a distance and said to himself, “I shall eat one apple tart;”

suddenly he heard Anna’s voice saying, “Big bear I’ve caught you!” “Oh my, oh

my!” cried the bear, “I had better walk a while before eating any of the tarts…”

As he said that, the bear started off again. After he was far from home, he

said; “I shall rest here, and in the meantime eat one apple tart…” Suddenly he

heard Anna’s voice saying again, “Big bear; I’ve caught you again!” “Oh my, oh

my!” cried the bear, “That girl must have magic eyes!” then he started off once

again.

When he at last reached his journeys end, he placed the basket in front of

Anna’s front door, and walked away from home. When Anna’s mom and dad opened the

door, they saw Anna jump out from the basket and running to them. There was no

chance of saying how happy they were!

Li Hua is a Yong Pioneer. He is going to the park. Now he is waiting for a

bus. Suddenly he finds a watchon theground.He askssome people, "Whose watch is

it?" But the watch isnt theirs. So he gives the watch to a policeman.

Now Li Hua gets on the bus. He is sitting near the window. An old woman

gets on the bus. She has no seat. So he stands up and says, "Here is a seat for

you, Granny. Please sit here"

succeed and how to achieve? These problems confuse many teenagers in

nowadays.

We all have dreams, and we all work hard to realize them. But there will

always be some problems and setbacks to stop the pace of advance. When they

We all know that Mrs. Curie discovered radium, but how many people really know

how hard she worked? At that time, there were many people disapprove of Mrs.

Today, my mother and I went to the supermarket.

I saw a lot of items and food. I saw some of the delicious, like in the

past, but my mother to buy eggs, I do not think that in the past, otherwise it

Today was the first day of my new life. I looked at my new books and
