There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually

in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance.

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that

Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddhas

body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar

month, so he ordered to light lanterns in the imperial palace and temples to

show respect to Buddha on this day. Later, the Buddhist rite developed into a

grand festival among common people and its influence expanded from the Central

Plains to the whole of China.

Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the

country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets,

to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. "Guessing lantern riddles"is

an essential part of the Festival.

Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the

lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out

get a little gift. The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in

the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of

called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is

small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean

paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling.

Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s

more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning

reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the

family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern

dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and

beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent

lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks

from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local

governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first

full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing

fireworks and bright moon in the sky.

我最喜欢春天，因为春天有柔和的春雨。

春天的早上，天空下起了蒙蒙细雨。我很兴奋地奔出房间，跑向那细雨。春天的雨不好像冬天的雨那般寒冷，也不似夏天的雨猛烈。它是独特的，落在脸上痒痒的，柔柔的，好像孩子的手在你的脸上抚摸；又好像妈妈的吻，温暖而柔和，而且极具有生命力，给我带来春天的快乐和愉悦。

春雨是灵动的，它还会演奏曲子。你听，叮叮咚咚，这是春雨落在屋檐上汇成的雨滴落下来的声音。我痴痴地听着，发现春雨就好像一位杰出的演奏家。我陶醉了……

回到家，我趴在窗子上，看见所有花草都不再好像冬天那样垂着脑袋……啊！是春雨让花草茂盛，我永远爱她！

假期的时候，看到好多的同学都会游泳，于是妈妈答应让我也去学游泳。

妈妈给我报了一个游泳班，利用课余时间，跟着教练学游泳。

到了游泳馆，教练先叮嘱我们一些注意事项，就把我们带到了水池边。首先教我们憋气，让我们深深的吸进一口气。然后把头伸进水里，把气憋住。第一次我憋了5秒吧，第二次我憋了8分钟。第三次我憋了快10秒吧。我的成绩越来越好。

然后，教练又教了我们漂浮。在憋气的时候，把手放在两边的绳子上，身体和两条腿漂浮在水面上，接着我们就像小青蛙一样蹬腿。我用腿前后蹬着，感觉特别好玩，一点都不害怕。

教练宣布我们可以下水游泳了，一到水里，我又害怕起来，不敢松开教练的手。看到别的小朋友都像小鱼一样在水里自由自在的游着。我还是不敢动。这时看见妈妈鼓励的眼神，我就勇敢的松开了教练的手，眼睛一闭，跳到了水里。不幸的事情还是发生了，我被呛了一口水。但是，我还是坚持游下去。能游一米了。教练和妈妈都在鼓励我。能游两米了，我的心渐渐的放松下来。不知不觉游了三米，四米，……好神奇啊，我的身体能像气球一样在水面上浮着了。

学游泳，让我明白了一个道理：坚持不放弃，才能成功。

中秋节是快乐的，是团圆的象征，是充满喜悦的象征。我醉拍手狂歌，举怀邀月，对影成三客。起舞徘徊风露下，今夕不知何夕。便欲乘风，翻然归去，何用骑鹏翼。水晶宫里，一声吹断横笛......

"但愿人长久，千里共婵娟。"自古以来，天空中那轮皎洁的月亮，披着一层神秘的面纱，被诗人吟诵，被人们拜舞。人们一向对月亮充满幻想。

明月中秋全家聚，月下私语乐融融。中秋之夜是个祥和，完美的夜晚，家家欢聚一堂，坐在月光下吃月饼，该是多么舒服呀!

去年的中秋节我是在我奶奶家过的，那一天，亲人们都来了，还是八月十五的夜晚最热闹，我们一家欢聚一堂，坐在阳台里等待月亮仙子的出现，但是等了半天，连月亮的影儿都没见着。我有些灰心丧气，抓起一个月饼吃起来，我心里有些纳闷：为什么中秋节就要吃月饼呢我就去问乃奶奶，奶奶告诉我，在元朝的时候，君主怕子民造反，就下令十家合用一把菜刀，这十家还要供养一个蒙古奴隶主的爪牙，这些爪牙横行霸道，人民叫苦连天，一位正义的大臣看不下去，就在中秋月下，给月饼里塞进许多写着"爱国正义，推翻王朝，一齐连手，还我河山"的字条，把这些月饼送到人们家里。人们看到字条，就有了动力，最终，推翻了腐败的元朝。往后，就有了中秋佳节吃月饼的习俗。听完奶奶讲的这个故事，我陷入了沉思。突然，弟弟叫了一声;"快看，月亮升起来了!"我们望着那皎洁的月亮，眼圈都红了，想到了那些因工作繁忙而不能归家的人。这时，奶奶从冰箱里拿出几大盘月饼和许多好吃的，摆放在月亮的下面，听说这叫做供奉月亮。奶奶在烧香敬纸，我看着头顶上的月亮，她越来越亮，仿佛正对着我们笑呢。这个晚上，奶奶家的笑声一向到十二点才结束。

爆竹声声辞旧岁，瑞雪纷飞迎新年。 The sound of firecrackers quit the old age, Ruixue flew to the New Year.

江城刚刚送走多年不遇的大雪，迎来了阳光明媚的早春二月。

在过几天，就是我国传统佳节—春节。新年之际，我们已感受到了春的气息，感受到了春的温暖。

要过年了，家家户户都在忙碌着打扫卫生、筹备年货，我们家也不例外。节前，我和爸爸来到超市购买年货。超市里张灯节彩、货物琳琅满目，购物者人山人海、川流不息，处处洋溢着节日气氛……

过新年贴对联、贴年画、贴窗花，都是人们寄托着对幸福生活的向往，对美好未来的祝愿。今天，我饶有兴趣地将门神年画张贴在门前，嘴里还唱着：“门神、门神骑大马，贴在门上守住家;门神、门神扛大刀，大鬼小鬼忙逃跑，”逗得爸爸妈妈哈哈大笑。

夜幕降临，家家户户喜气洋洋，吃年饭前，都要放鞭炮……

吃完年夜饭，我拉着爸爸妈妈的手，来到屋外。路上灯火辉煌，霓虹灯下，人流传动，大人小孩在空旷的场地上燃放烟花，到处是一片节日的气象。当新年的钟声敲响时，家家户户燃放起爆竹，此起彼伏的爆竹声祝福新年的到来。

是啊!在热闹的爆竹声中，送走了难忘的旧岁;在温馨的节日里，满面笑容的人们迎来了新的一年。窗外，是不变的星空，岁月悄然地流失，在新年岁月中，我又长大了一岁。

春节，是孩子们尽情玩的日子，也是大人访亲探友的日子。爸爸妈妈带着我走东家、窜西家，与亲朋好友渡过了许多难忘的时光。

空中点点闪烁的礼花，环绕着缤纷的梦想，祝福你，祝福大家新年快乐!万事如意!真是难忘今宵，无论天涯与海角，神州万里同怀抱，共祝愿祖国好;告别今宵，无论新友与故交，明年春来再相邀，青山在，人未老，共祝愿，祖国好……
