Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. The second largest of the Chinese provinces, it covers an area of 220,100 square miles (570,000 square kilometres). Szechwan is bordered by the provinces of Kansu and Shensi to the north, Hupeh and Hunan to the east, and Kweichow and Yunnan to the south and by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the west and the province of Tsinghai to the northwest. 照往常的规矩，我家乡的春节大约在立春前一天就开始了。这天，家家户户很是忙碌，都要灌香肠，晒腊肉，然后贮存起来，等到新年过后再吃。

都说腊月是最繁忙之时，果不其然。一月之内要大扫除、置年货、准备过年的食物用品……每一家都不例外，可不累坏了呢!

过年的需求准备完了，也就差不多到除夕了。

三十这晚，最是团圆。人们都会和至亲的人或好友一块儿吃美味的年夜饭，好不热闹。屋里热闹了，外边儿也不闲着。不一会儿，便是鞭炮声响彻云霄。这声音不仅响，而且连绵不断，似是在提醒着人们今晚要为长辈守岁。就这样，每年我都昏昏沉沉地熬了一夜。

守完岁，就想睡个好觉?可没那么容易!正月初一这天，要早早的起床，向长辈问好、祝福呢!

清早，必是先要将早餐送入肚中。早餐，两字听起来熟悉又简单。但在我的家乡，正月初一的早餐可是有讲究的：要吃鸡蛋，象征着一年的吉祥如意;还要吃菜包，象征着这一年会招财进宝;当然，吃我家乡的特产——灯芯糕是最必须的，因为这象征着一年的职业学习节节高升。

吃完这复杂的早餐，就该去给长辈们拜年了。说实话，其实我最喜欢做这“奉承”事儿了。因为，只要对长辈说句新年祝词，便可得到压岁钱和长辈给予的幸福平安，岂不甚好?

正月初一至初七，都是奔波之日。这七天，要去向每一家亲戚拜新年、话祝福。

终于，到了正月十五元宵这天。大家都将年前准备好的汤圆和腊月晒的香肠腊肉拿出来与亲戚朋友分享品尝。储藏过一月有余的香肠腊肉，此时已是色香味俱全了。就闻一下、尝一口，便是如何都无法停筷了。品尝完这至高的美味后，便该去逛庙会，猜灯谜。与朋友们开开心心地过完这春节的最后一天。

With the rapid development of the society, many things around our life are changed. Personally speaking, my hometown has changed a lot.

When I was a child, there was only one black and white TV set in our village. And I don’t know what’s computer. I often went to school on foot. What’s more, in summer, we had to use hand-made fans to make our temperature down. If I wanted to connect with the distant friends or relatives,  the most convenient way is writing letters, which may lost on the way or take a lot of time to reach the destination.

However, nowadays, there are four color televisons in my home and most people have their own computers. And now cars are seen everywhere. 我的家乡一年四季都是美的。像一眼清泉从我的记忆中流过。家乡是美丽的，至少在我眼中，一切都是那么美好又那么陌生。

家乡有一条潺潺的小溪，清澈见底，溪水很浅，只到我的膝盖。溪底可以见到很多鹅卵石，踩在上面，让你既疼又痒。溪边种着几棵不知名的小草，翠绿翠绿，倒映在溪上，将小溪染绿了。我小时候喜欢趴在溪边，看着流水从上游流到下游。可惜现在小溪被水泥给代替了。心中不免有些惆怅。

家乡靠着山，每当春天，满山遍野都是一片翠绿，在绿中点缀着粉红桃花，洁白的梨花和那些村庄居民们自己开辟的田野，多么和谐的一幅画啊。我喜欢随着大人们上山去树林中的水井打水。井的周围有大片树林，还有那些不知名的小花和蘑菇。当大人们坐在井边闲聊时，我便会跑到一边看小花，和虫子玩。
