目前世界上百分之六十的地区街上都会出现有垃圾的现象，只有少数的国家有一尘不染的“美誉”，比如说：日本，日本的大街上几乎没有垃圾桶，有的话也是规定了倒垃圾的时间，其余时间不能倒垃圾，他们一般在要逛街的情况下，都会随身带个垃圾袋，以免买了东西的袋子或是遇到突发情况都不用丢脸地找别人借袋子，他们都不会像我们国家的有些人那样自私，他们每个人都有一个共同的信念：保持清洁卫生，不能让其他国家的人决得日本的卫生习惯很差！

有一种污染名叫白色垃圾，我简单介绍一下：塑料制品作为质轻，防水，防腐蚀的新型材料，在全世界被广泛运用。

塑料最早运用于农业地膜，给农业生产带来了极大的发展，可使农作物在任何季节生长，促进了市场消费。据市场统计，自1990～1995年，塑料的生产以每年8．9％的速度增长，已经席卷了整个地球。简直可以称作“白色革命”。但它在为人们提供方便的同时，也给人们带来了一场“白色灾难”。

至今，“白色污染”已经成为众所周知的一个新型名词。它主要指各种发泡塑料袋，农用地膜等给环境造成了污染，并且得到社会的普遍关注。

还有人做过统计，火灾中被浓烟熏死呛死的人是烧死者的4？5倍。在一些火灾中，被"烧死"的人实际上是先烟气中毒窒息死亡之后又遭火烧的。

浓烟致人死亡的主要原因是一氧化碳中毒。在一氧化碳浓度达1。3%的空气中，人吸上两三口气就会失去知觉，呼吸1？3分钟就会导致死亡。而常用的建筑材料燃烧时所产生的烟气中，一氧化碳的含量高达2。5%。此外，火灾中的烟气里还含有大量的二氧化碳。在通常的情况下，二氧化碳在空气中约占0。06%，当其浓度达到2%时，人就会感到呼吸困难，达到6%？7%时，人就会窒息死亡。另外还有一些材料，如聚氯乙烯、尼龙、羊毛、丝绸等纤维类物品燃烧时能产生剧毒气体，对人的威胁更大。

所以，我想提醒大家：“千万不要破坏环境，害人害己，而且对自己的身体没有好处！”

Your letter and package reached me yesterday. You really give me a great surprise. I was wondering what was in such a nice package until I carefully opened it and found that you sent me an attractive present for my birthday. Thank you very much for your kindness, and I like the present, which will give me pleasure for a long time to come.

Again it is thoughtful of you to send me the present on my birthday. Yesterday evening my colleagues held a birthday party for me, including John Liu---I think you can remember---a nice tall boy, who invited you and I to his birthday last October. We enjoyed ourselves, and all of us mentioned your stay with us. We hope that you will come to China soon, if possible.

星期天，我去姥姥的老家玩。走在路上，一望无边的田里，农民正忙碌着收割庄稼。突然，一阵阵黑烟飘来，呛的我直咳嗽。我一边跑一边问：“这是哪儿来的烟？呛的我快受不了啦！”旁边的人也直抱怨：“是呀，这几天焚烧麦杆，我们坐在附近的也倒霉了！”另外一个人也连忙接话：“是呀，这样下去世界会变成啥样子呀！”看着滚滚浓烟，我仿佛看到了许多年以后的情景：

早晨刚开门，一阵黑烟直扑进来，人们不得不戴上厚厚的口罩。回家一进门就要赶紧把门窗关紧，否则全家人就得不停在咳嗽。尽管室内空气混沌，人们却不能打开窗户透透气，也不敢出门游玩。从窗户望出去，浓烟滚滚，空气再也不清新了。花草树木有的熏死了，活着的也一个个耷拉着脑袋。公园里最漂亮的景点也折腾的不成样子了，儿童乐园、麦香村等商店有时一个人也没来，最后只好倒闭。人们在家里没事做，快闷死了，小孩更是哭着闹着，大人也无可奈何地唉声叹气。

我想着想着，不禁大叫：“人们，不要再污染环境了，这样下去我们怎么受得了啊！”一旁的农民说：“你说的倒好，草杆不焚烧怎么行？”我愤愤不平道：“谁能发明一个自动焚烧器多好呀，焚烧的又好又不污染环境，照这样下去，世界真变得不知成啥样子了！”农民嘲讽道：“你来发明呀，你发明出来，我把全部家当送给你！”“我一定能发明的出来！”“你试试呀！”我大声叫道：“我长大了一定要发明一个！”

说完，我转身和家人一起上了长途汽车，车开远了，农民们还在后面嘲笑：“输了吧……”

I’m fourteen year old. I’m very active, so I like playing with my friend, and I like playing computer.

My father is driver. He is strong and tall, but he looks very funny. He likes watch newspaper very mach.

My mother works at a factory. She is beautiful and tall too. She likes sports ,so she is very thin .

This is my family. Do you like my family? I like it very mach.

The earth is our home, but also our mother. Earth free supply us all kinds of resources, but we still for a little petty profit, regardless of the consequences of wanton to destroy her. As the only one earth, "the article said, we cant count on destroyed the earth moving to other planets, the earth if lost, then fell to the earths fate will eventually befall humans. So we too late, too late, to protect our earth, care for the environment, I suggest you to do the following:

1. Cherish now every mouthful of air, as far as possible to reduce the number of the factory, industrial waste gas will be less. The good news is, we see the government has put many polluting factories, rectification within a time limit or migration. We also know that every household use of coal gas has been changed to natural gas, advocating walking with less cars, this is to protect the atmosphere. We more afforestation, forest not only can breathe fresh air, also can purify the air. To stop deforestation behavior, less destruction of nature.

2. Dont abuse of various resources, such as coal, ore, wood, water... If these resources are endless, is bound to form all kinds of resources depletion, when people do not have the resources, we could not survive.

3. The water is the source of life, but it is too small. Although the surface looks large area on earth is covered by water, but with less than one over ten, an acute shortage of water in many cities, so, we should save water. At present, the school advocates our toilet cistern in home put a mineral water bottle, isnt it the measures to save water? Use to wash the dishes, the water that clean out rice water the flowers, use wash clothes water to flush the toilet, isnt it a to save water!

As long as everyone to do the above, the earth has been already saved!

地球是我们的家，同时也是我们的母亲。地球无偿的供给我们各种资源，而我们却还为了一点蝇头小利，不顾后果的肆意去破坏她。正如《只有一个地球》那篇文章所说的，我们不能再指望破坏了地球移居到别的星球上去，地球如果灭亡了，那么降临到地球上的命运终究也会降临到人类身上。所以我们亡羊补牢，为时不晚，保护我们的地球，爱护环境，我建议大家做到如下几点：

1.珍惜现在的每一口空气，把工厂的数量尽可能的减少，工业废气也会随之减少。可喜的是，我们看到政府已将许多重污染的工厂叫停，限期整改或迁移。我们还知道每家每户用的煤气已改成了天然气，倡导步行少用汽车，这都是保护大气的举措。我们还要多植树造林，森林不仅能呼出新鲜空气，还能净化空气。要制止乱砍伐森林的行为，要少破坏大自然。

2.不要滥用各种资源，如，煤、矿、木、水……如果这些资源被无止境的开采，必定会形成各种资源的枯竭，当人们没有资源时，我们就无法生存了。

3.水是生命的源泉，但是它又实在太少了。虽然表面看起来地球上大面积都被水覆盖，可是能用的却不到十分之一，许多城市严重缺水，所以，我们要节约用水。目前，学校倡导我们在家里的马桶水箱里放一个矿泉水瓶子，不正是节约用水的举措吗?用洗菜、淘米的水浇花，用洗衣服的水冲马桶，不正是为节约用水尽一份力嘛!

只要大家做到以上几点，地球就有救了!
