鱼尾狮是新家坡的标志性建筑物。它一共有十层高，人们还能爬到鱼尾狮头顶去看新加坡的景色。鱼尾狮是一头由于尾巴的狮子。它的尾巴微微翘起，嘴里吐出美丽的水花，雄赳赳地屹立在圣淘沙岛上，一副不可轻视的样子，日夜维护着新加坡。

我和爸爸妈妈一口气爬到了鱼尾狮的头顶。妈妈请一位阿姨帮我们拍照。她“咔嚓”按下快门，为我们全家人拍下了一张值得永久保存的照片。

我们还去马来西亚。提起马来西亚。我立刻联想起了那里香甜可口的椰子。

椰子是热带水果，只能在马来西亚这种一年四季都很热的地方长。它的外壳是绿色的，像个圆滚滚的皮球。里面的果肉是奶白色的，十分诱人。椰子汁及健康友好喝，清凉爽口，椰肉也更是妙不可言。

各国都有自己的文化习俗，以后我要参观更多国家，了解更多知识。

HOW DO PEOPLE USE COMPUTERS?

People use computers in many ways. Stores use computers to keep track of products and check you out at the cash register. Banks use computers to send money all over the world.

Computers help teachers keep track of lessons and grades. They help students do research and learn. Computers let you hook up to networks (many computers hooked together). They let you hook up to a worldwide network called the Internet.

Scientists use computers to solve research problems. Engineers use computers to make cars, trucks, and airplanes. Architects use computers to design houses and other buildings. The police use computers to track down criminals. The military uses computers to make and read coded messages.

同情之心，人皆有之，我也不例外。你看过《全运向前冲》吗?我很喜欢这个节目，因为它是年青人张扬个性和显示能力的平台，当詹享臻小朋友在这个节目中亮相后，我感觉到这个节目已经变成了爱心传递行动。3岁本应是一个天真无邪的年龄，和小朋友嬉戏的快乐时光，而他却躺在病床上等待着上帝对他的判决。一想起这些，谁能不为之动容。“生命如此脆弱，我们要好好活着，学会坚强”这是我对他的祝福，也是每一个具有同情心的人对他的祝福。詹享臻是不幸的，又是幸运的，因为像他这样的人在社会上还有很多，他们没有机会得到别人的同情和帮助。

这些也让我联想到去年5月12日那场震惊世界的四川大地震，全国人民手拉手地援助灾区，各地的中学生、大学生纷纷给灾区捐钱等，在那个时候，有多少老师为保护学生而献出了生命，有多少父母为了孩子而牺牲，有多少解放军忍着失去亲人的悲痛在现场救援。

这些行动感染着每一个中国人，也感染着全世界的人。这些事例在社会上还有很多。这也让我想到，前不久大学生救溺水儿童，3名大学生因江流湍急被冲入漩涡而不幸溺水身亡，在他们溺水时，有两艘渔船就停在那里，其中一艘是捞尸公司，居然说：“给我36000元，我就帮你把他们的尸体给老上来。”当时有位女大学学生跪着求那艘船，在那种情况下，他们居然挟持尸体要钱，我真想问问他们：你们拿了钱，不觉得钱烫手吗?你们的良心何在?大学生都没有犹豫，组成人墙救儿童。当那3名同学落难时，你们为什么犹豫?你们为什么要钱?难道你认为钱比命金贵吗?难道你们还不如这些大学生吗?这些渔民的行为是对活人不尊重，也是对死人的亵渎。

爱是我们活着的目标，每一个生命是因为爱才存在于这个世界的。每一个小生命都在为着继续生存下去而努力，每一个小生命都在为着继续生存下去而互相帮助，因为爱而活着……

爱出爱返，福往者福来，人生在世，要乐于助人，要善于给予爱，这样才能获得更多的爱与幸福。

世界不能没有爱，人生更不能没有一颗同情的心。让我们每个人在别人需要帮助的时候伸出援助之手，让爱的种子扎根在每一个中国人的心里

Every person needs sleep everyday. But with the high development of

society, most people have more and more things to do and have less time to

sleep. As a result, many people are lack of sleep. For a short time, they may

not realize the bad side of it, but it will bring something bad for them after a

long term. First of all, lack of sleep will do harm to people’s look. If they do

not sleep enough, they will get black eyes and bad skin easily, which will make

people look no so beautiful. Secondly, lack of sleep is bad for the spiritual

outlook. A person who lacking of sleep always looks tired and has no power to do

things. Last, not enough sleep for a long time will have bad influence of

thought. They always can’t be active in mind.

A funny thing happened during the summer vacation.

On the morning of July 13th, the weather was clear and the sun was bright. My mother took me to the village of Li Jia to visit her grandmother. The two aunts and two cousins were also in grandmas house. I was very happy. On this day, I was playing with two cousins, and two of us got me to make you a little bit of fun. “月是故乡明，人是故乡亲。”桂花飘香，风清月明，正值一年秋收之际，迎来了能给人一种特别的欣喜，一种心境的安歇，一种特别想往的中秋节。

八月十五谓之中秋，古代月饼以月饼相遗，取团圆之意，是夕，人家有赏月之燕，或者携嗑湖船，沿游彻晓。中秋节前，诸店皆卖新酒，贵家结饰台榭，民家争占酒楼玩月，笙歌远闻千里，嬉戏连坐至晓。祭拜月神求丰收，月圆满，渴望世事美好。现在，虽已不拜祭月神，但还是要在这天晚上赏月，吃月饼。

一提到中秋让人即刻就想到月饼，月饼已成为中秋的代言品。相传，朱元璋与月饼起义赢得战争，把带有字条的饼子作为糕点赏给士兵们吃，便有了八月十五吃月饼这一习俗。现在，月饼已经进化为各种形态各种口味，满足人们的需要，亦有思乡之情、团圆之意。

八月十五这天各大公司，各大工厂的工作人员都会放假回家，享受与家人一边赏月一边吃月饼的幸福感。在这天父母会期望孩子们回家，一家人团圆在一起。

当然，我们学校也放了假。

吃过美味的月饼，话过有趣的家事，家人们慢慢醉入甜美的梦乡，静谧的夜晚显得格外宁静。而我久久不能入睡，重新穿好衣服寻觅美妙的月光。

月光如水，水光如乳。大地上的万物仿佛披上了梦的轻纱，绽放了朦胧的微笑。月光是无私的，她不会因为任何物的渺小而不眷顾，也不会因为任何人的成功而奉承。她是会默默的跟着你。耳边荡漾起儿时的歌谣：“月亮走，我也走，我帮月亮提竹篓。”

“月到中秋分外明。”今晚的月亮时隐时现，也许是因为太多人都仰慕她吧，有时她会躲在乌云的后面，仿佛在与赏月的人捉迷*。

“独在异乡为异客，每逢佳节倍思亲。”不知到独在大西洋彼岸的哥哥是否已进入梦乡，在梦中与家乡的月亮邂逅。梦中的月亮是否还是那么圆？是否能够吃到月饼？我想即使是吃到月饼心境与之前的也是不一样，因为那不是中国的月饼，不是家乡的月饼，不是和亲人一起吃的月饼。

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. And, garbage from discarded food can cause track fires. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

However, some others are opposed to the idea. They argue that people like eating in the train in the morning because they dont have enough time to eat at their houses or restaurants. Sometimes that may be the only time or meal a transit rider may be able to eat especially when traveling long distances. Besides, there are people, for example diabetics, who do require food at various times to maintain blood-sugar levels.

Personally, Im against the ban because of the huge inconvenience it would cause to commuters, and the expense involved in enforcing it. Still, I believe we should have a little common courtesy. I think we all have responsibility to try to treat our subway system and fellow riders with respect, and that extends to food as well.
