Take the spring festival as an example, traditionally, in the evening of the Chinese New Year eve, the whole family usually would have a reunion meal. Many of the family members are not really be at home quite often spending time with others especially with their old parents, so this reunion meal is very important for every family to have a chance to talk, enjoy the together time. But today all has changed. I like to see movie so much. When I have time, the first thing I’d like to do is to find the hot movies and then buy some snacks, enjoying my movie hour. After appreciating so many movies, The Lord of the Rings impresses me the most. This movie has three series and I like them all. Though the moive was made in about 2000, its technology is still not out of date. In the movie, the scenery is such beautiful that I can’t move my eyes away. It was shot in New Zealand and I have made up my mind that I must go there someday and have a look at the beautiful scenery. The movie shows me a scientific world with all kinds of creatures. The wizards, the hobbies, the elves, the orcs and so on. It broadens my vision.

文明起始于人类，它随着人类的推行不断前进，融入我们生活中的点点滴滴，如：为老人让座、向教师问好、不随地吐痰每一个文明的行为，都会为我们的生活增添些许闪光点。

文明的核心是爱与美。爱包括博爱、关爱、大爱;美包括思想美和行为美。与文明生生相息的，便是所谓的美德。但在我看来，文明与美德其实是一体的。

一个民族的文明与美德是展此刻该民族每一个人的身上的。作为华夏民族的子女，我们更应好好彰显本民族的文化精神，养成文明习惯，培养美德，使自我成为一个有品德、有修养、有情操的人。

中华五千年的历史长河源远流长，其中就涌现出众多有品德、有修养、有情操的人，如：己所不欲勿施于人的孔丘、先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐的范仲淹等等。他们的人生因讲文明，行美德而得以充实，放出光芒。实而，讲文明，行美德是他们爱祖国的体现。因为爱国，所以处处为国服务，为国着想。他们时时以一个好人民的标准要求自我，因而受到后人的尊敬。

然而要成为一个好人民，现今社会的好公民，我们应先知书，认真学习先进文化，继而便要做到达礼，因为有时候凭礼仪就能看出一个人的修养高低及文明程度。或许有人会问：为什么是要先知书，后达礼?我想，最好的回答便是_总理所说过的一句话：读书决定一个人的修养和境界，关系一个民族的素质和力量，影响一个国家的前途和命运。一个人的修养指的是一个人的气质以及一个人举手投足是否合乎环境。然而不一样环境下，礼仪也很重要，如，在中国这一文明古国中，与人家交谈时，表情要自然，若需中途停止谈话，则应先招呼后离开;与人握手时，应目视对方，要按照尊者为先的原则;待客时，应热情招待，送客时也应送客人出家门并向其道别等等。

可见，文明不只限于公共场合中要有良好的行为举止，私人生活中也应如此。

身为青少年的我们，应以一个好公民，好人民，好学生的准则要求自我。就如少年黄柯一般，自知生命不久矣，还要与父亲走遍中国，感谢恩人，死前，还用心要求贡献眼角膜。同为青少年的我们，应以黄柯为榜样。讲文明，行美德，树新风，阳光少年你我他。

Beijing, the capital of China, is one of the largest cities in the world.

There are many places of interest, such as the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City

and the Great Wall. All of them are beautiful and well-known to the world. Great

changes have taken place in Beijing since we successfully held the 2008 0lympic

Games.

Now, people pay more attention to the environment. More trees and flowers

have been planted. For the traffic, it is very convenient for people to travel

around Beijing, because several new subway lines have been built. If you come to

Beijing, you will find people here are very friendly and helpful. Whats more, a

lot of people can speak English. Beijing is really an attractive city with a

long history.

new high school life is both exciting and challenging for me. first, im in a new environment with my new teachers and new classmates. many of them are all from top middle schools in the area. im so excited to meet them all. the new school building is designed creatively and attractively. i loved it . my new teachers are nice and them teach very weel. they are always willing to answer my questions at the end of the class. second, i have to take some new subjects and choose some subjects myself. i liked that because it gives students freedom and i can develop more in my areas of interest. third, im glad to join into some of the clubs and activities in my school. they are very interesting and i could learn more social experience through those activities. im proud to be in this new school and i wish that i can unleash my potential and achieve my best in this school.

The history of life on earth has been a history of interaction between living things and their surroundings. To a large extent, the physical form and the habits of the earths vegetation and its animal life have been molded by the environment. Considering the whole span of earthly time, the opposite effect, in which life actually modifies its surroundings,has been relatively slight. Only in the present century has one species--man acquired significant power to alter the nature of his world.

During the past quarter century this power has not only become increasingly great but it has changed in character.The most alarming of all mans assaults upon the environment is the contaminatien of air, earth, rivers, and sea with dangerous and even lethal materials. This pollution is for the most part irrecoverable. In this now universal contamination of the environment, chemicals are the sinister partners of radiation in changing the very nature of the world, the very nature of its life.

It took hundreds of millions of years to produce the life that now inhabits the earth. Given time not in years but in millennia life adjusts, and a balance has been reached. But in the modern world there is no time.

It is not my contention that chemical insecticides must never be used. I do contend that we have put poisonous and biologically potent chemicals indiscriminately into the hands of persons largely or wholly ignorant of their potentials for harm. We have subjected enormous numbers of people to contact with these poisons, without their consent and often without their knowledge. I contend,furthermore, that we have allowed these chemicals to be used with little or no advance investigation of their effect on soil, water, wildlife, and man himself. Future generations are unlikely to forgive our lack of concern for the integrity of the natural world that supports all life.

our shool, wuhan heping middle school, lies in the center of wuhan city. it was just built and has the perfect size. the school yard is two hundred meters long, one hundred meters wide, and is surrounded by trees.

when you walk throught the front gate, there is a huge garden that greets you with every kind of natural things. to the left is the school library in which there are more than 100, 000 books. to the right is the eperiment building. in the very middle of the school yard stands the teaching building that stretches for one hundred and fifty meters. this teaching building has four floors with the teachers offices at either end of each floor. standing on the top of the teaching building, you can see a flower bed. behind the teaching building is a large playground on the right side. the students often do sports here after class. to the left lies the dining hall which can hold 500 people. this is our school, a beautiful one.

our school, wuhan heping middle school, is in the center of wuhan city. the school yard is two hundred meters long, one hundred meters wide, and is surrounded by trees. it is 20, 000 square meters in area.

when you walk into the school yard, you will see a wide road in front of you. on your left, you will see the school library in which there are more than 100, 000 books. on your right is the eperiment building, walk ahead,and you will see a beautiful garden in front of you. when you go through it,there stands the teaching building: it has four floors with the teachers of rices at either end of each floor. behind it, there stands the dining-room on the left side. to the right lies the playground where the students often play football. this is our school, a beautiful one.
