一个成功人士最重要的是什么?是自信!一个人如若没有自信，哪怕他天赋过人也照样是一块平庸的石头，但如果你有自信，哪怕是一块平庸的石头也会发出金子般的光芒!

不得不说，在之前的岁月中，我一直是一个缺乏自信的人。比如，在课堂上老师要点名回答问题时，我总是把头埋得像狗尾巴草那样低，哪怕那道题我是会的。再比如，元旦到了，班级要举行才艺表演时，每个同学都踊跃自信地报着名，但我依旧是头低得最低的那个，哪怕我也很想参加。我总是这样没自信。妈妈总是说我是“狗肉包子上不了台面。”可后来，这种情况有了转变。

每年放假，我都会准时参加社会实践活动，这次还是同往年那样去社区参加实践活动。“反正不管做什么，只要不让我上台就好。”我心里默默地想着。可谁知，这次活动变了个新花样，这次是让每个来参加活动的人进行演讲比赛。听到这个消息，我的心提到了嗓子眼。我赶忙去追问举办这次活动的阿姨，问她可不可以选择不参加。

当然，这是我白日做梦，我从阿姨满怀笑意的眼神中读出了阿姨的意思：“当然不可以!”她还说，这次活动每个人都必须参加，每个人有一天的时间准备，更重要的是演讲好了还会颁发奖品。听完之后，我顿时心惊胆战，可是我又不敢不参加。于是，我用了一个小时写完并修改了演讲稿，剩余的时间里，我都在给自己做心里铺垫。终于，该来的还是来了。第二天，我忐忑不安地走进活动室，心里不断地给自己打着气。

终于，活动开始了。我看着其他人语言流畅并且声情并茂演讲的样子，不禁为自己担忧起来。终于到我了，我是最后一个出场的，可谓是压轴的表演了。我哆嗦地走上台，由于过度紧张，说话也变得结巴。我断断续续地说了句：“大……大家好，今天我……我演讲的题目是：我为我身为中……中国人而自豪。”我心里一遍遍努力让自己把话说清楚，可嘴就好像有了生命，不听我的使唤。我看着台下的人，脸红得好像要滴血。正要说不下去时，观众席忽然传来了一阵掌声。

刹那间，一股自信的力量流入我的心间，我振作起来，长舒一口气，把自己自信与勇气全都放了出来。终于，我圆满结束了这次演讲，虽然我没有拿上名次，也没有奖品，但我收到了比这些更重要的奖品——自信。从那以后，我发现原来我的自信一直都在，只是未被激发出来，于是，我一改往常“狗肉包子”的形象，做回了一个有自信的人。
