“如果地球上只剩下最后一滴水那就是我们的眼泪”，每当看到这句为人们及时敲响警钟的经典语句，我便想起了几个月前发生的一件令我羞愧的事。

还记得那天早上，天气非常炎。我吃过早饭，打开窗户，伸个懒腰，摸着吃撑的肚皮，心想：找点事干，运动一下吧!思来想去，对了，早上的碗还没洗呢，干脆把碗给洗洗得了!

说干就干。我先把碗泡在水盆里，过了一会儿，开始洗了，我先往盆里放了一点洗洁精，然后拿起一个洗碗搓了一会儿，便开始冲了。这时，我心里想了一个法子，边洗边冲，不是节省很多时间吗，关键是还能玩水?于是，我打开水龙头，水哗啦哗啦地流着，我一边玩水一边洗碗，妈妈回来了，看着哗啦哗啦的水龙头，她赶紧过来关掉，说：“洗个碗也不用这么浪费水吧!你是不知道现在这水有多重要，水有多稀缺!

水龙头哗啦哗啦又唱起了高歌，可没过一会儿，妈妈又过来了，她瞪了我一眼，说：“我来洗吧，你不用洗了!啊，一下子愣住了心想：为什么不让我洗了，我又没做错什么，真委屈!妈妈好像看出了我的心思似的，说：“我们要节约用水，你不知道现在全国现在很多地方都缺水，以前甘肃一些地方，他们缺水更加严重，有的人一生只洗三次澡，出生结婚死亡，眼泪都要接下来……一生只洗三次澡?听完妈妈的话我一下子震惊了，这缺水得缺到何种程度呀!想到自己刚才那样浪费水，我不自觉地羞红了脸，低下头不再说什么。

这时，妈妈看明白了很多，就教了我几招生活节水小窍门：淘米水可以浇花，洗澡前流下的冷水可以拖地或者冲马桶，洗菜干净的水还可以洗碗……听完妈妈的话，我心想：妈妈真是节水能手啊生活方方面面都能想到!我暗暗下定决心以后一定要向妈妈学习，节约用水!

通过这件事，我明白了：节约用水的重要性及紧迫性，建议大家都能够从生活中的小事做起，从点滴做起，去节约每一滴水!
